  1. Thanks Steve GT, I would love to include the car! I am going to try and catch up with everyone offering their cars and get everything organised. Cheers!
  2. Agreed hiddeous, it seriously only took me around 10 min per wheel, as a first timer and taking my time. A pro could do it without anyone even noticing. Once your undoing the nuts it looks very normal and not suspicious. If someone really wants your wheels and knows what their doing, they will get your wheels.
  3. thanks all for the ideas, was determined and got the little buggers off, socket, extension piece and hammer....done! Also no damage to any rims, I took my time and made sure every swing was on target, my hands copped most of the missed swings. gotta say its relieving to get the things off, free of charge. Now to get some replacements and never lose a key again.
  4. Yes its this old problem, cannot locate my lock nut key and as a result cannot remove my lock nuts!!!! Very annoying, I have tried the socket trick but my lock nut is totally cylindrical with little nibs at the end, sockets are either too small or large. Tried a few tyre shops in my area and all said "NO" to helping remove. Anyone here recommend anyone in Sydney Nth West or other areas that will assist? I don't want to drive my car in fear of getting a puncture and being stranded not being able to remove the wheels. Or any other ideas in removing the bloody things? Cheers!

    Rough Idle

My car idled rough and popped, gave it a full serviced through my tuner and it idled and drove a lot smoother. They put it down to a really dirty fuel filter, old plugs and coils. Idles a lot better now but now has other valve spring related issues, but that's another story!!
  6. Yep, also keen. What do you charge?
  7. I'm the same, seriously considering a new FG Turbo, currently my BA2 6 speed is absolutely rubbish. Clunky, long shifts, clunky oh and did I mention clunky!!!! I'm over it, I prefer my other half's fiesta manual, short, quick and quite as a mouse. Even coasting in traffic it shunts and clunks, rubbish!!!! Now because of this nightmare I can't decide weather to go FG in auto or manual, I love the feel of a manual (when its a nice box to drive) but I know auto is faster and its a great box, but I haven't driven a FG manual yet. I'm keen to hear other peoples experiences with the manual, I know its a new box upgrades etc but are they an improvement over the BA-BF manuals?
  8. Hey all, Just wondering what people are paying for a new FG Turbo sedan auto drive away and with what options? My mate is looking and has seen an 08 plate no options apparently prepared for Police and not taken, dealer wants a nudge over $40k drive away. I am not sure if that is good or bad given its 08 plated and basic. Cheers
  9. I know, its excellent. The mods should have a wedding or formal car section in each state. Its all credit to the individuals offering their time and car, couldn't be happier! My soon to be mother inlaw was pushing Holdens/HSV's for wedding cars as my fiances family all own SS's and HSV's, I put my foot down and said "NO, I'd rather walk".
  10. Yes please, gees that thing is HOT!!! I would appreciate it! If he is happy to be involved that's great, 3 potential cars one more to go! Cheers
  11. Cheers thanks guys, I appreciate the offers...by the looks of the cars, I like!!!! I will put you both down and let you know details shortly. Thanks
  12. Hey all, Im getting married on 6th March 2010 and want FPV's as my wedding cars. I will need 4 cars in total and would prefer the following: FG FPV's or BF Mk2 FPV's or Cobra special editions. I will gladly pay drivers for their time and throw in a case of beer (your own choice). Please let me know if you would like to offer your time and car. I am getting married at the Riverside Oaks (North West Sydney). I appreciate all offers. Cheers Shane
  13. Yeah count me in, might meet you guys at the little bridge just after the Yarramundi turn off on Hawkesbury Rd as I will be coming down from Kurmond. I can just get someones number and call before you all arrive there, plenty of room for all to pull over and get some pics too. Cheers

    Value

Hi all, Just testing the water here, I am getting itchy to buy either a FG XR6T or a BF2 F6, that aside if I put a value of $20k on my BA2 would that be an accurate value for the vehicle? I guess if anyone here recently sold their BA2, what did you get? and how comparable to my vehicle? Mine is as below with 18inch ford and after market rims (all can be sold together), BF tail lights, well looked after and I'm even getting the front bar touched up from stone chips. 64000kms Look forward to feedback. Cheers
  15. Hey all, Don't know if anyone here is going to Bathurst for the race. Me and a few mates are camping there from Friday to Monday, were leaving early Friday morning, if anyone here is also leaving early Friday would be good to cuise up in a group! Were pretty much leaving Windsor at 6:30am for a good cruise up Bells! Let me know if anyone interested. Cheers
  16. I don't know, if you have regular short term leases go the GS now if you can and then you can upgrade to a Coyote V8 when the lease expires if the coyote is worth upgrading to. Live once, there will only ever be one FPV GS with a 5.4L donk in it!!! I know everyone here says wait but you may also regret waiting and not getting one. The GS is here now and ready to go, the coyote is not! You can honestly wait all your life, when I got by BAMk2 Turbo the BF came out shortly after, I was going to wait but didn't and still have the BA to this day, even though the BF was a better package. When Coyote is release there will always be another upgrade better again. There is a guy with a new GS on AFF in nitro and it really changed my mind on the car, it looks awesome, and some quote better than a GT.

    Hsv E2

Watching the video on the HSV website, it looks identical. Hold down clutch and accelerator, the engine holds the rpm fairly low, in Fords case 3500rpm, release the clutch and away you go. The only thing better on the HSV is the noise, the car in the video sounds fantastic.

    Hsv E2

Hey all, I noticed on HSV's website in the E2 area that they are claiming to be the first Australian production car with launch control, WRONG! As we know the FG manual XR6 Turbos are and have been equiped with launch control since their release. I tried to email HSV but I kept getting errors so I sent a message to Ford. They have responded and informed me that my email has been forwarded to the appropriate department for their attention and review, also acknowledging appreciation for drawing their attention to it. I know Ford never really marketed or promoted the launch control feature at all really which they should have as it is a great feature and was ahead of the HSV / Expensive Daewoo technology. Will be keen to see if HSV keep marketing their Launch Control system as an Australian first? Me thinks not! I guess this is just my rant for the day but I hate companies that incorrectly market and advertise their products, and I'm sure HSV know the FG is equipped with launch control! Cheers
  19. could be a good group buy here guys, whilst I already have a LSD, the standard is clunking and I'm concerned about longevity now that I'm running more power. If we got quite a few people on here with T's and some G series wanting to upgrade we can group buy and save $$$$.
  20. The BA's are known for a noisy suspension more so than the BF's, my BA MkII had rattles in the rear end and was loud especially going over bumps at slow speeds. Before my warranty ran out I mentioned it to Ford and they "tightened" and checked all the rear suspension. It worked because after that it was dead quiet but after a while they all came back. Go aftermarket through Pedders or another reputable workshop .
  21. I heard they are not the actual upgrades, these are thought to be pre production ideas and renderings. The actual new HSV may only incorporate very little from these pictures. I suspect HSV released them to stir the pot and get the LS1.com boys talking which they have. I highly doubt HSV would actually produce this rubbish.
  22. Mate, beautiful. I love those rims on the FG, especially on the brighter colours. Well done Cheers
  23. Hey mate, I purchased the TF7100HD PVRt about 1 month ago, loving it, its a fantastic product. I am pretty sure it has the latest firmware installed which is dated march-09. Great to hear someone here works at Topfield, could be handy If its a common problem with Channel 9, Topfield may need to release a new update Cheers
  24. Ahh, I had issues over the last couple of days, I get 9HD and Digital but I can't view the program listings through my Topfield box, all other channels ok except bloody 9. It means I can't setup program recordings, I have to actually wait until the show starts and push record. I went onto the topfield forums (I know, forums about a HD recorder), post a topic up to vent and responses to technical beyond my knowledge with codes and firmwires etc???? Anyone else here have a topfield or tivo?
