I have an everyday run with the same car. I drive a XRT ute and everymorning this guy in a VX Clubby R8 always seems to be on my tail. I live in the Hawkesbury in NSW and its pretty rural, so the drive to my work is on a road which has combined straights and bends and then in Windsor multiple lane traffic driving. So we run in all types of areas. Anyways he always tries to overtake me straight away but he cannot because as soon as I see him start to pull out I flatten it and begin to pull. So he pulls back in and catches up to me again. Then comes the multiple car overtaking. The otherday there was four cars which I overtook at about 180km. The clubby decided to follow but I saw him struggle to keep up again. Next comes the twisty raods which the turbo loves. I gain about a minute on the clubby. In the traffic driving its just lane changing around cars at about 90-120km, which is pretty stupid. He has never beaten me or ever overtaken me and I LOVE IT. The best part is his plates say VXR88U. I can tell you now he has never eaten me and never will.

Hi guys, I bought my car three months ago. Its a 2003 ex demo black xr6 turbo ute. So far I have done 4000kms and only problem was a leak in throttle body and air intake manifold. I took to my dealer Winford Motors and fixed, now problem free. The reason I get great service is Ford dealer winford motors is family owned therefor alot depends on their service, where as RJV which is most sydney dealers are owned by ford, there for the service dept feels they dont have to give a s**t as they have the financial backing of Ford Australia. I have to say though my AU2 XR6 was a MUCH BETTER BUILD QUALITY. The au was bagged out but not as many probs as the BA. If you want inside info in other cars go to www.carsurvey.org some interesting info on people who write re their cars from aus and around the world. And from what I have read Expensive Daewoo is just as if not worse.

I asked the guys at Sinclair Ford Penrith how much for a FPV Boost gauge out of the F6. He laughed and said good luck. Stunned at the reply I asked why??? He said you cannot get anything FPV without stating your VIN & Engine number. FPV will not give you anything not even a badge unless you give the info they want. Its good if you own one...but I dont and I really want one of those boost gauges for my T. Does any one know where I can get one that looks similar to that???

Hi guys, I am the proud owner of a black XR6 Turbo Ute, only thing making me frown is when im stationary in drive im hearing a rattle sometimes under me. Im guessing its the exhaust as it moves frequently when idling. But its only just started doing it. Its only got 8000kms. Is this common for the 6T utes???
