Interesting! What kind of fuel consumption improvements should I be expecting though?

pffffttt I wish I could get some decent figures like a lot of you guys. I sit on average 17-17.5/100kms mainly city driving on a fg mk1 with 10000kms.

The previous owner must have been a big guy and wore it out! Because I'm not a heavy guy at all! The car had only been driven for 8000kms. And only 2000kms since I purchased, I wouldn't expect the part of the seat to fall apart at all and at least so soon.. Can it be fixed under warranty? I definitely see it as a design fault

Has anyone had a problem with the plastic part attached to the bottom right hand side of the drivers set come loose? This is the plastic piece where the seat adjust knob and the electric seat button is located. I exited my car and it came loose. Extra 3 years (36 months) thrown in for free. Must service with the dealer I purchased from for it to be valid

Took a look at my extended 3 year warranty expiry date, it expires on the 31/1/18. Meaning my factory warranty ends 31/1/15 which is about 2 years and a month left of it

So guys the day has come, I purchased a 2011 XR6 FG Turbo at a price of $33000. It was a dealer demo and I am the first private owner. Comes with 6 months rego with 6000kms on the clock and has full leather interior. It is absolutely imaculate in and out. Also comes with 3 years factory warranty plus another 3 years extended warranty. Not the $30 000 car that I originally planned for, but I think I got a good deal.

Wow thanks for all the replies guys! I have increased the budget to around 30k. There are a few advertised around the 33/34k mark which Il try to get down to the 30k mark. Il keep you guys updated

Thanks for sharing. Yeah I mean anything around $30 000 is a bargain. Was it advertised at that price? Or did you negotiate it down? A got an old 00 Hyundai Accent which Il try sell privately for about $3000 and in turn if I subtract that from a good $30 000 deal I will be down to $27 000. Every cent counts! (For me anyways)

Rare opportunties at $30 000 do arise. Do you think dealers would negotiate from that price since they already are advertising it at a cheap price? Heard of any good deals at the auctions? that's why I was thinking it may be a far stretch. What do you think if I hold out on purchasing one untill mid way next year??

Hi there, At what price do you guys think I could get a used 2011 Xr6t at? Needs to be preferbly under 20 000 kms and in good condition. Anyone in the know or just purchased a 2011 model and could give me some pricing figures? From what I can see, most are listed from $35000. Im hoping for a bargain at about $27 000 with some good negotiation skills. Is this too far of a stretch?? Should I hold off abit longer and wait a few months into next year to purchase? Cheers
