Hi All, Happy New Year to you's, Let's hope it's a great one for everyone. Now this is my first topic post for the new design Super Charged BTW Torque Converter. Karl late last year started a post to share his delight for the extra performance he experanced and proved on the track by lifting his 60 foot time by a 10th of a second to 1.66 and 1/4 mile time to 11.37. The main things I have experianced with the Super Charged Torque Converter is the torque is highest from low revs , it has totally reversed the torque curve on the dyno readout . This leads to economy gains especally around town, and when you put your foot into it it instantly kicks down and launches. or propells great from a standing start, a real delight to drive. 3 years of full time R&D have been put into this style converter to work out the best design that I am now offering to you so you can experiance the benefits. Terms of trade have been revised to include 12 month warranty and a 100% money back Satisfaction Guarantee! if you choose to return the Super Charged Torque Converter (that I doubt you will as you will love it!) I have not yet been given Karl's dyno comparision chart so here I post the origional dyno result comparision done with a totally stock 98 EL Falcon As you can see there is an extra 26kw at the start of the dyno run in 3rd and a higher top end speed with extra kw in the top end to. in 2nd gear it is also all over it , an interesting point is at the decelleration point in 2nd gear that shows rather than dropping off fast it coasts along a bit , this effect adds to the economy side of things. I will do my best to answer your questions and Thank for joining the thread Chris. VStrong torque converters.

I bet there is many crazy fuc-ers on this forum especally when it comes to driving like a hoon.. I like your picture yoga sit ups funny:) here is another dyno of a slightly different configuration take note of the Torque curve and how it has swapped over as to where the torque is produced- 160 replies

I 'm sure I can give someone who has everything done to there vehicle a bit more. GREAT! Also for someone with a standard stock car and would like more bottom end power for towing etc. or as Karl pointed out to me a P plater who can't have a turbo under the law or someone who dosen't want a tune (as it will suck more fuel) there is now a new way to get all the benefits and it's totally legal , they wouldn't even know [ "look under the bonnet looks stock, pulg the computer in/stock tune"]unless they drive it! even then it depends on how it's driven. Drive it gently it's so smooth the gear changes seemless a joy to cruise in (your Granny would love it). Put your foot down and it's a wheel spinning ferious beast and that's in a totally stock EL. I'm not the type of person to sell you something just to make money (5 years)I have ethics I am the Designer. (just the new tooth I have now cost $2500. permantly screwed into my jaw (highly recomended)! it has to make me extremly happy to even offer it to you. this also applies to Bruce Heinrich and Karl wouldn't be doing what he has done without being impressed. I'd like to throw a question back at ya's Is the std turbo converter known for comming apart? Karl was given a modified Std converter because I didn't have a turbo one to give him, the only differance between a std converter and the turbo converter is that the turbo converter has a fully brazed turbine and the front cover has extra weight attached that's it. As with other torque converter guys I would be after change over as part of the deal to get stock of turbo converters to modify. The high price is due to several hours of work needed to be done as well as the years of R&D (5 years full time with money only going out) I'm sure you would want a return for your time ! also it's going to pay for it self in fuel savings and makes your transmission more reliable as less metal particules are being produced and no lockup clutch to give problems. The reason I can claim it as a Super Charged Torque Converter is that it makes huge bottom end torque as a normal super charging dose without needing to tap power to drive it.- 160 replies

I think what Karl is a bit pis-ed off about , and I expect Bruce Heinrich (highly regarded performance mechanic and tuner who races all over the country) may be also is that there word is being compromised about what there experiancing and how happy they are with the results of the Super Charged Torque Converter, I am to a bit but I'm a bit use to it as I have had objection to everything I been doing for years. it's not nice to be told your wasting your time over and over again. Can't do that, the Earth is Flat! The fuel companies will kill you! if it could be done it would have been done by the engineers at Borgwarner! I've heard them all. I just want to see my lifes work taken up and enjoyed by the masses, enjoy having some cash for a change, buy a nice car instead of driving $1000 specials. my current test car the $1000 EL a friend of mine paid for as I had 0$ but needed to test me converters (thankfully someone has faith in me.) If you going to increase to KW to who knows how much and race your cars at a track no warranty or liability will be given. I couldn't expect any company warranting there products for racing as things get blown up all the time. The product will be supplied at least as good as but obviously higher output performance than factory made. It is how it is. Sincerely Chris. SCTC- 160 replies

How many Aussie icon companies have back yard beginings? 2 that come to mind are Victa lawnmowers and Hills hoists. everyone has to have humble beginnings.. The reason I say what I did about the Borgwarner engineers is that the torque converter hasn't changed since it's beginings, the only major differance is the stator, origionally it was pressed metal and brazed construction, later to reduce production costs they went to cast Aluminium. As far as putting the lock up clutch in it, was the easy fix instead of spending years of R&D to work out what really makes it work. GMH have spent years of R&D on there converters there are at least 8 different ones, but I have also vastly improved one of them and with the knowlodge I lernt over the years of personal R&D into torque converters I reckon I can make any of them perform better that stock. The Secrectcy Act and Trade Secrects Acts and Copyright is what I will be using to launch this business, so please look them up and be aware of what this means. anyone who has ever signed an agreement with an employer regarding secretcy knows what it entails. I am considering putting up 2 more converters as testa's, anyone willing? apart of the deal is feedback, economy results, endorsments, and Decals on vehicles (advertising) AS well as being pact to an agreement as above. The latest higher stall model is even more fuel efficient, testing continues.. Thanks for your posts Chris. SCTC- 160 replies

Hi All, How many major brands of cars do recalls over the years there designers design a new car it gets made tested a bit and goes into production, it's only then problems imerge if the numbers are high enough or it is a safety issue they legally have to do a recall, the list of them is long. then take for example common engineered problems , the main one I can think of for the BA series is the trans cooler splitting dumping coolant through the transmission! R&D,,,, My uncle use to work for Crysler when it was in Adelaide years ago, he worked in the testing division. any new parts that lasted to long in the tests, had to be remade weaker. this is common pratice by the big players of many things , even though it's off track,, look at Microsoft! how many problems existed with there products,(they still went to market with them) how many patches were/are put out there? so some of the coments are a bit wrong in my opinion. The fuel economy test I did in the stock EL was done over a full tank of fuel filled to the brim. I did in total 811km over the period of a week 400km in the city and the rest on a highway trip to use up the fuel, 811km total on 75.75lts = 9.35lt/per 100km (just to remind you this is with out a lockup clutch inside the converter) IMO the lock up clutch is the downfall of the converter it is main component to stuff up and cause a chain reaction of problems eg. exsessive heating /slippage especially under hard driving (the inate hydrodynamic workings of the converter is trying to turn against the lock up clutch), extra metal particules floating around the converter/ transmission system produced by the lockup clutch. Also another common problem under harsh treatment is the bush shim plate letting go. To try and give some reson for this I imagine it is that the lock up clutch has a moderately tensioned spring between it and the turbine that in doing so applies a constant force against the front cover / lockup clutch/turbine/ bush shim plate / white metal bush on the stator /bearing / and impeller. this would have to increase heating of the bush shim plate to the point of increased wear and ultimate failure. Why did the converter manufactures go to using the lock up clutch? As we know the torque converter use to have efficiency problems in the way of slippage especally in the top end. Due to there engineers being clutch and gear men the easy fix was to fit the lock up clutch. I bet that know one in Borgwarners organisation really understands the Hydrodynamic workings of there converters as they have not really changed since the 60's it's the same basic design ! . 16years ago I came across some infomation that changed the direction in my life. It was is to do with turbine dynamics and motion and the geometry behind everything. To build a turbine machine from scratch is a lot of work though I have done this in the past. 8-10 years ago I was messing around with joining two trimatic boxes together back to back to give overdrive gear ranges in a bedford van I had at the time. I managed to get it to work driving both transmissions from the one pump. the second transmission had a full lock shift kit valve body in it that allowed it to be put in any gear and be locked there. to have normal gear ratios from start I'd lock the second box into 3rd being 1:1 , the first transmission changed up and down as a normal automatic dose. if I wanted .8 overdrive gear ratios I'd lock it in second, for 2.5 x overdrive ratios I'd lock it in first. it did work but the drive shaft was so short and the geometry so severe it was it's failing. It was at this time I cut open my first torque converter and thought this would be a good thing to improve. so let it muster in my mind for some time. 5-6 years ago I started to spend a lot of time re designing the GMH torque converter and have had great results 10kw extra right through the rev range in 3rd + 10kmph extra, even 15kw extra in 2nd. another good design yealed 20kw extra + 20kmph in the top end and exceptional fuel economy (this is in the lexen bruce spoke of and he was sceptical as well) Then Bruce said he would like a Ford converter done so another journey started that took years to get an exceptional converter design. This is what I'm offering today years of R&D into torque converter design. it's time to get the best one's out there so you can enjoy the benefits. Do you rember the old days before torque converter lock up clutches when a transmission/ torque converter system would go for years and years with little or no mantanance,if it eventually started slipping a bit an oil /filter and band ajustment usually fixed it. it is what has given the auto transmission a good reputation. Not any more, there been made to break , make the components so thin they let go, non hardend splines that chew out, main shafts that break, so on and so on. It's not what I'm here for. I want to deliver a Very Strong Super performance device at a reasionable price. I'd like you to view my youtube chanell godspirals to get an understanding of where I'm comming from Thanks for your intrest Chris.- 160 replies

I'd say your a bit off here, most new to the market products are at a high price and come down in time. take flat screen tv's or Dyson vaccume cleaners for example. The product will stand on it's own feet, you have heard inderpendant valadation (Karl , Bruce) you need to add your names to the list of wrapped enthusiastic adrelinen pumped speed freaks. (happy customers) $1600 is a fare price , especally since it will save you money in fuel ...as well as boost performance. the only way you will realy know for your self is to try it out. What sort of money would you like to pay for faster launch, increased power, realiability, and fuel economy? (the fuel economy will pay it off it self,) how many high performance products save you money in the long run? Tested the SCTC Hi Staller in my stock EL yesterday, turned out of my street in D and held it to the floor huge 1,2,3rd gear burnout as it changed into 4th is turned it off.(it is only stock 100kw!) It definatly has economy to, I can feel it while just crusing (ticks along) . Power and economy whats it worth? ( $1600.) it'll pay for it self. I'd like someone to try and destroy one,,, any takers? Hi Guys, thanks to the help and perserverance of Bruce Heinrich performance & tuning, Who has provided test vechicals work shop and dyno testing for the last 3 years of R&D into the Borgwarner torque converter (very little has changed in this converter since it's conseption it is one of the oldest style converters used and it has been used widely. Every Ford with a Borgwarner transmission , also used in a myriad of cars and trucks makes. LandRover, Jaguar, Crysler just to name a few) For those who want some insight to it's workings it is a Super Charged Torque Converter ™ is the easiest way of explaining it's actions so I've coined this here for future use it will distinguish my product and brand SCTC ™ Bottom End Torque , a caristic of Super Charging now achieved with the Super Charged Torque Converter ™ the torque curve dyno shows a reversal of where torque multiplying takes effect and why the use of the lock up clutch in all modern standard cars. The stock lock up clutch type converter losses traction in the top end as it starts to slip multiplying of kw happens but traction is lost. To over come this the gear clutch engineers at Borgwarner fitted tthe lock up clutch to take up this slip that is an inate fault with the stock converter. This problem of slippage has now been solved with out the lock up clutch. The SuperChargedTorqueConverter ™ multiplies Torque and Kw in the bottom end ,3rd gear gains 26Kw at the stab point on the dyno comparison of a dead stock tuned EL 4.0L (from 50 to 76kw) spins the wheels easy. Pulls well even in 4th. Instant Kick Down. you'll love the feel of this, instaniously gorn Pheww, the drive is the experance. Bruce felt it. He'd only recomend a product that he knows works. Should be enough said.. Top End Extra 16 kmph and 9kw extra at comparison point to stock . Driving is believing Ain't that right Karl. A Great big thank you to you also we wouldn't be here with out you. Karl willing to give it a go and start this post and plug a great product that he obviously feels it is.
