  1. dude! that's huge and the torque, omg the torque!!!!! best you get yourself some good ol' 15" Mickey E/Ts eh?
  2. can slide my sedan quite comfortably through 2nd or 3rd, but had a mate (drifter) in a FG ute said it gripped too much. go figure. would love to practice entries, but not keen on the handbrake, and the damn ABS means gets in the way sometimes when I try and clutch lock the rears (wet only, obviously) :( also, is that your natural style, or are you exaggerating the 'look ma, no hands'-ness of it a bit for the camera?
  3. maybe call a powder coater?
  4. gaaaaaaaaaay... raing the bike this sunday. have fun
  5. so, started this project quite sometie ago, but lost interest when I lost direction with the stereo install, and costings... figured I should at least finish the sub box, as it's had a few hours in it already. so, some 16mm MDF, a bit of oak, and a hot glue gun (had my doubts, but sticks like sh*t, and fibreglass later should take the brunt anyway) and ive got it like this. next up I'll be finalising the shape of the back, then getting the spandex or some other stretchy material to stretch over it and make the shape of the front before 'glassing it again. opinions: painted nitro blue, or carpeted?
  6. not a clue... last time I got the heads up, the fuel arrived at united servos. no idea if that means a god damn thing though...
  7. cereal like cornflakes! whats needed for the change? pump inj tune? or are lines/seals/tank not compatible...
  8. so, uh, E85 will be on tap in Perth next month.... you're welcome (serious face, this info is coming from the same guy who said E10 will be here in two weeks, two weeks before it got here)
  9. could always shave some meat from the rim/caliper if its a 'just' hits... ?
  10. not to mention the cars windows were wound down. no way you could warp the roofline like that without even sealing the car
  11. hmmmm. going for a launch today, and had it 'stalled' on the handbrake with a small amount of clutch preload, waiting for the light at about 2000rpm. still waiting. and waiting. (lights I use regularly, so was a little surprised at how long the change took to go green) before I left I got the beeps, and a 'comms sys error(fail?)' message on the dash. obviously, I dropped the idea of a launch, and reverted back to regular driving. at around 2500-3000rpm, with low throttle, the engine cut, not like a hard limiter, but more like the ignition retarding as I believe is how the traction control works? repeated this in 2nd, and 3rd, before the message vanished, and it returned to running fine. so, do these things have a limp mode, cutting rpm? aaaaaaand, lastly, I'm guessing the small clutch slip, coupled with the handbrake being held, whilst stationary simply confused the car, and I've got nothing to worry about... right?
  12. $? where about did you get that from too? always get braided lines on bikes, but hadn't seen it done too much on cars and was curious to know if you feel any kind of difference on the pedal
  13. considering it... would get a scalpel from a hobby shop so its sharp as #### but just very concerned about running it through the paint.
  14. Didn't your mother ever tell you not to talk with your mouth full?
  15. chasing advise from anyone who has done their "XR6" badges on the skirt/door have done my rear badges with ease, but every time I try to do the "XR6" on the side, peeling back the excess doesn't tear like it should, and it also peels off of the badge. I suspect this is because the badges are much slimmer, and there isn't such an obvious line for it to break on. tips or advice on how to do these?
  16. Top weather eh? Any how met a few of you, though being terrible as I am I didn't get names Cept Steve. Had some sh*ts and giggles in my car, and survived a (not so) random vehicle inspection and breatho (clean 0.00 of course) so its still a win for me. Will keep the eyes on the next one
  17. change the key illumination this arvo. racing bikes means my car doesn't get the money spent on it that I'd like to (don't get me wrong, racing is a buzz I cant replace, and wouldn't have it any other way) so I look for all of these little changes that still makes it 'mine'.
  18. My first spend would be a all expenses paid trip for about 6-10 of my best mates to ski Canada and or Japan for about 2 weeks. Can't get time off? Quit. Ill spring Ya a few bucks Nek minut, RC213V.
  19. b-b-b-bump! fingers crossed I get my car back tomorrow and will get to meet a few of you. should be bringing a mate in a FG xr6t ute, unconfirmed on the VE SS sedan.
  20. grrrrrr. had this part accessed on my FG, but didn't look like it was a wedge bulb (thought it was fixed/soldered to the board) time to order a bulb
  21. when the car is built from ground up, not 'converted' to RHD, I really think 5-10k would be pretty reasonable. hell, you don't have any more parts, just different parts, but the parts you didn't need, you never paid for.
  22. Dropped the car to ford today. "when you say there is a clunk in the driveline, do you mean between on and off throttle?" "yeah" "ok, its probably the #diffbush" Tried so hard not to laugh. I let out a little chukle though
  23. epic. dunlops oem offering?
  24. re the tint on the ute, its a commercial job. drivers and passengers to be 35%, the rest is open slather. 35% all round definitely WAS the legal requirement (front window excluded, obviously) warranty checks delayed til Wednesday now. seriously better have my car next Friday!
