  1. hello strangers... long time no post. quick Q, I buzzed the forums but couldn't find the answer. what kind of ponies would be galloping at my rears with F6 injectors and a tune, even remove the cat if it helps. big power is never going to happen, but a few extra would be nice. I'd assume the injectors would still be the limiting factor? (at $200 ish for a set, its tempting me atm) thanks y'all.
  2. All manual fg turbos have it. And as best I can tell, its nothing but a good thing. Boosts off the line, no lag. (plus the stutter pop and fart it does at 3500rpm sounds mint) Just a sh*ty clutch I think.
  3. Mehbe. Planned time of arrival at said destination?
  4. Masda, I have a trained left index finger. When I select first gear, it extends and bumps the TC button. Can't remember the last time I drove with it on (for those concerned over saftey, abs remains active. And esc still works when yhe brake pedal is applied) Every launch has been done with tc off. I don't dump the clutch at get it loose, I control the clutch out, because as far as I know, the "launch control" is only really a 2 step, bringing rpm up, cutting spark, and fueling the turbo where it ignites and spools, giving you more boost than would typically be available at that low throttle %. When I get to control the clutch, nothing smells. When it sucks down, you know about it. (but unlike woodyz I still get plenty of drive. Still ran a low 13sec et doing that) I swear I've asked this before now :/ haha.
  5. hi boys and girls.... anyone had a clutch pedal sucked back to the floor on a hard launch (or any other scenario?) dunno if its a fault, or a mechanical happening caused by design. have had it on maybe, 6? occasions. elevated revs, in first, clutch in, start coming off the clutch, feed more throttle, keep lifting the foot, "hey where the fook is my pedal gone", feels like its still grabbing hard, keep the foot buried, run out of revs, 'stab' the tiny bit of clutch travel you have and pull 2nd, and hey presto, the pedal comes back. and then the clutch smell comes through the cabin (though I must admit, ford clutches don't smell half as bad as some others ive smelt) so yeah, ideas. thoughts.
  6. got a delkor for about $170 (I think) after a cabbie recommended it to me. " good CCA, cranks hard.
  7. more of future 'what did you do today' but can someone point me towards a footwell lighting thread? cant for the life of me find it on here. (been told to check it out as apparently even the stock XR6T has the loom there?) pleases and thankyous
  8. bumping an old thread, looking for boot lid trims of all things, but steve, you should feel the limiter pretty easy. my mate has a long private road I ran on and even on stock power, it will pull hard, past 230 (to about 236 ish normally) before it cuts power, and holds you at 230. you hit the limit fairly hard and feel the decel. that an fg xr6t manual. cant help on the G series cars.
  9. cant do it in the VE anyway. pull the leaver and you just get a beep. handbrake wont activate while driving.
  10. picked up on that too.... even the women advertising the damn thing still don't have a clue.... also, can I (lol, I cant afford it) get my Maloo with the supercharged GTS engine? because that would be tops! another point, I think the standard SS comes with staggered fitment now too!
  11. and how many times do you think "damn! why cant I have 10 characters"
  12. just got a delkor for $160. 680CCA which seems to give the girl a fair kick in the guts.
  13. times are all made in the first 60', trent0 any old street tire should be able to get down to a 1.9/2.0 second 60' get that dialled in and you'll have some good E/Ts
  14. hard to think it'll effect warranty, it's the same intake used by FPV on the coyote... except they didn't look at someone elses and change the badge
  15. tires last 12000kms? got a new battery today... a whopping great 680CCA! that'll start her just nicely
  16. threw in a new battery today... delkor. 680CCA mwahahaha, START YA BASTARD!!!!
  17. FFS... you can't abbreviate "where are" EDIT: oh its too good. "are" abbreviated, and repeated... any way. stoopid ford of mine has another problem. keeps triggering abs and tc fault, get them on the dash display, along with their lights and a "!" in a triangle. just discovered when driving it at night and noticing things didn't light up like normal, that I have no brake lights. of course, now it is my problem to get it to ford, and leave it with them for X amount of hours because the pricks wont say "it'll take this long" or "come by at X O'clock and we will be able to start on it then" leaving me with the choice to wait for what is probably a 5 minute fix. I'll be amazed if I buy another ford...
  18. Stuff the pics, gedus a video!
  19. screamer pipe for teh lolz?
  20. what sub in the parcel shelf... lol bought the car second hand, and the old boy who owned it before me had ZERO options on it from factory... well, except a full size spare.
  21. clean! though I'd need a grill as ive always got stuff in my boot. well, even then, I dunno if I'd have enough room. hence mine being made the way it is.
  22. hmm, stock FG turbo here too. ran mine to 0 to go once, and then some(forgot my wallet), and heard it sucking as I got in my drive way. turned it off asap, and jerry can filled it. hadn't heard it before then, but now hear it all the time. wondering if there is a seal or line that may have perished?
  23. I sit, on average, at about 15.1L/100kms (reset each tank fill), but have a fairly short trip to work, and, well, with a freeway on ramp at 6am, the traffic is clear, and the air cold, how could I not... have had it average 18-19L/100kms for a tank load before... whoops. sliiiiiightly of topic, but can anyone here their fuel pup sucking air with still 50-60kms to go? doesn't seem right, doesn't surge, defiantly will last another 50kms, so its got around 7-8L at minimum still in the tank.... ?
  24. nah, I just don't like the noises on the drive line, and after growing up in a fwd 323 astina, I know how much flatspots suck
