  6. Happy Birthday Bushido!

  7. Hi guys It has been a while since my last visit and these are my sins.... I have broken my zf box on my XR - Its making a wining sound on idle and drive - it sometimes wont come out of first - it randomly goes into limp mode Whats I have tried - spend way to much on a service, oil change and what I thought the guy done the filter only to find out he didnt as he never changed the pan. ATM I am doing an internship so cant afford a rebuild at this time I can get a ZF XR8 BF gear box but I am unsure if they are the same or different? Are the ZF boxes from a non turbo Xr6 the same? Any advice would be great Thanks guys
  8. Happy Birthday Bushido!

  9. Fitted Monza cooler yesterday for temp use, put the car on a dyno at carlise tafe as mate is a student the pulled same power infact lil bit more, couldn't get print out as there was no printer attached did some research and questioning about the AT was told it doesn't make to much of an impression on the power, will put car back on dyno early jan when hdi fmic and surge tank fitted, Im happy with power she is making atm and really not gonna try chase more, its more then enough
  10. I will be going to get the car re-done at another Dyno the other dyno sheets I have all show very very close IT an AT figures but will be going to see C-red some time this month - I have driven 400 hp cars my, old cressida was 440@ wheels and the feel is very close so im asuming there wasnt to much dodgy doings with the power run but will be getting it re-done
  11. A few of my previous cars, I have found alot of the XR6 T engine is similar to the RB25 setup from my experience. But without taking thread fully off topics I thought id post some my old cars. Note if I am to be flamed for owning these cars please take note I am a car enthusiast I like all cars from mini to Expensive Daewoo I do not discriminate any car or model I just would never buy a hyundi silv.bmp
  12. Thanks for feed back, does settle the nerves a little bit, I have been so use to imports knowing that getting past the 400hp mark safe meant engine out strip and forge, so it comes a bit of a shock that XRs do this with minimal mods. Mine is a Jan 06 BF from all the advice given I was told the early BF engines are time bombs O_o got me worried a little only October 06 had the stronger engine, Then others have said the bottom end and head gasket are solid on all XR turbos so I guess for me its still a learning curve. Thanks for all the info so far its good to see a large group willing to lend a hand and provide information.
  13. Thanks for the feedback guys, If you all trust XFT that is were ill be going, On another note all though this may have been brought up in another thread and mind my ignorance, but how strong are the engines on XR6 Ts been that I am so use to dealing with SR20s and RB engines. This is my first XR6 and I am loving it but would definitely love to be educated a bit further as to what the engine is capable in standard form ie. Stock internals, bearings and head gaskets and signs and things I should look out for to provide better care to the Engine and Car. My turbo was replaced with a new GT35/82R due to an issue with a factory oil line that feeds the turbo? I was told this caused the original turbo to fail
