  1. well I must not put more stress on the car. Meaning no extra power. but no one said no less weight....hehe mmm I dont know what valves to use, I put atomic ones in my super charged xr6 made 250rwkw hot day cold 280rwkw. Bushes I was performance one, I heard fulcrum suspension have some new hybrid suff out. Earls oil line done, PWR cooler done, just waiting on what valves and bushes. Just want to make the car run better and smoother, till I get to the stage I know the car is perfectly work and nothing is wrong. and just enjoy it stock power.
  2. I'm looking for something like the ev07-9 have, just a hole to help with heat and having a nice metal mash over it. Not looking for wrx style lol already have a wrx dont need another one.
  3. I just spoke to the warranty department, they said a oil line and PWR is something they would recommand to put on to prolong the life of the car. They have a on site mechanic who told me its best if I do that, even to the point where he said you can change the valve springs aswell to help the car. I was shocked, and they emailed me the whole convo we had and a guaranty they it will not void the warranty. So, PWR, earls is already ordered, and valve springs. then Super pro stiff bushes. I cant be happier....I can do the simple mods to help the car live and no void anything haha.
  4. Hey guys, Just wondering, what types of bonnets are avaibale out there for a 2012 fg xr6t, im looking for one with a hood scoop, but not the xr8 bump, just a fg slim bonnet with scoop/scoops that dont look like a ebay glue on kit, thanks.

Hey mate, Yeah the dealership said in these words "you can service it with any workshop of your choice as long as the service is done correctly by the book, the the right oils/filter/coolant etc is used, a receipt should be kept and stapled with the service book and every 6-12 months taken to a dealership service center to be inspected and checked if the right service has been done". Yeah I saw that earls is popular haha guess that's what ill be getting, Yeah I had a feeling PWR would be the best one to get, but I don't know if it'll void the warranty on my car though. I spoke to a guy running oil cooler and bigger rad on his stock f6 and he said engine and engine bay heat level have dropped alot. Said that his thermo sits one bar down from standard heat all the time now. plus, on a cold night smashing it on the high way, he can touch the turbo with his hands and no get burnt lol My car just passed inspection, 100% perfect, still have factory set tires, and bushes. All oils are perfect like theyve been change every service 5-10,00kms lol which is crazy. Must of been a pedantic owner before me hahaha
  6. Hey guys, After 3 years of waiting to get off my P's I got a 2012 fg xr6t auto 59,000kms Kinetic blue. What the best thing is, I now have two fgs, both the same year, same month build, same day, and they were both sent out on the same day!!! Same colour, but ones auto turbo ones manual na Anyways, I'd like to thank the people here for the info over the years for helping me find all the things I need for my NA haha Now, with the new car, it has a 3 year warranty, $5000 cover on anything that goes. In my mind I want to stop anything from happening, and the first thing that comes to mine is oil and transmission... Whats the best oil line to turbo feed to get? I heard earls is good, but what about intune? Also a oil cooler, I've seen some f6's running around with them on the front but I don't know the power they are making, remember my car is stock power, but I just want to keep it live for aslong as possible and have less trouble with it till I can get a engine/trans/turbo rebuild/forged etc. Bigger radiator, PWR are selling a 24mm alum radiator for around $700 Also a transmission cooler? is it better to go to ford and get one? or aftermarket? I have no idea on these, since I've driven manual all this time and not had one problem with it. thanks in advance guys!!! thanks again for all the help these last 3 years.

  9. Weight reduction is the topic. Thought I might start this topic to see what people have done to their cars to reduce the weight because lets face it, 1600-1800kg is a lot.... Spare tires? Smash beams? fibre glass? anything you have done or are thinking of doing. Thanks guys!!!

FK Expensive Daewoo UP THE a$$ lols 2014 I get my opens and im trading my na fg 2012 for a turbo...have to wait and see if this new one is better or you know how they said the the early model FG were bad...might wait a year or two more just to be safe?

  15. Hey guys. Yeah the FG all the way. Evo starting boost is at 3.6k if its siting at 300kw at the wheels. But it cost so much to get it there. POwer to weight stock xr6t vs a evo10 with some mods the ford still wins its only 100kg-150kg heavy but take out the spare wheel and change the seats and its under 1600kg. and the fuel usage, the Evo uses a hellof a lot more I sat in on all day my friends stock it crazy..on the high way its doing 3-3.5k rpm in 5th gear...the ford staying 1.5k-2k rpm in 6th... By far the ford just feels so much better. What I meant but improving the car is stringing intercooling piping and bigger intercooler, valves etc ive read that most of the stock xr6t stuff is pretty weak and will fail soon... but yeah cant wait till opens.... 300kw at the wheels on a xr6t is easy anymore and I wont be alive very long...

  19. Hey guys, I bought a FG xr6 not long ago, its only do 13000kms, its a year old. Now everytime I turn on the car and its "cold" I hear a little click/rattling sound coming from straight above the manual gear stick. its like krrrrrrrr. Honest start with "k" and a long "r". When I push the clutch in and the car not in any gears its stops, when I release the clutch it starts again. When the cars in 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear and the rpm is between 0-1200rmp its shakes/rattles like something inside is really really loose. But when I change gears in higher rpm the sounds not there just about 1900rpm no sounds. When I drive up my driveway that's when you can notice it a lot because its in lower rpm and going up almost a mountain it laterally sounds like a diesel truck shaking. I took it to ford about 4 times, they keep tell me its a truck gear box it normal sounds like that...the sound can be so loud sometimes my friends asked me a few times, is this a v8....and a girl with a full exhaust on a swift could hear it when we were leaving the lights (shes a ford fan ) Ford also said its some heat shield that's loose... but they charged me 400 for a service and said they fixed it but as soon as I left the car park I heard it. I love this car with my life, nothing wrong with it only thing I could be worried about the massive "BOOM" sound that comes from the diff when I change a at 6500rpm when im driving with a little spirit. What do I do...I told ford they keep telling me its a truck gear box or a heat shield.. I was told by a guy who works on super cars that either the teeth or sinks in the gear box are loose or something else is very loose inside. And this noise has been with the car ever since the day I drove it out of the dealership brand new. Being my first car I ever bought and first RWD, I thought it was normal. Any ideas?...Should I take it to someone to check it up and then tell ford hey wtf?
  20. Yeah im going with the FG, everytime I drive my fg xr6 na it just takes over me everytime. Plus bang for buck, and more Litres to work with. The Full forged 400kw at the wheels engine for the evo10 I went to shop that only works on evos and GTR's said its 40 000 just for the engine no hands, labour is 48hours. Yeah next year, swap the NA for the turbo, and love my ford. Question is know if I buy the xr6t should I upgrade all the mods on it to stronger better ones, even though it has warranty or leave it for a about 10000kms and see what goes on.   21. Yeah I've had a look at the evoIX and they a wicked. But the thing is....exo x 0-100 stock with launch 5-6.1ecs. Evo7 my frineds stock evo7 is 0-100 3.9secs no mods but its 250kg lighter then the X the evoIX has Mitec for controlled better torque so its plus and weight 200kg less then the X ... Now I read somewhere in the net that a fg xr6 na can catch a evox in a straight line, now I don't know how true that is but yeah only 20kw difference and 4L vs 2L. and DAM YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME! read my mind I was think for the last 2 days about a evoIX is so much cheaper and look hot as but with the number of police around Brisbane eye candy and they'd want my goodies......anyways theres a guy that gave me quote for a full custom titanium exhaust for the xr6t and said 2400-2600, longer car more materials etc but that's pretty good and the sound that would come out of it is ridiculous. Cheapest evoIX with about 50 000kms I was around 30k-40k almost like a brandnew xr6t with abn - the GST etc With fuel use, xr6t is like 10.4l per 100kms? ExoX is 10.2 and evoIX is 13....mates told me but yeah. For some reason im leaning towards the Xr6t parts wise and looks. But the EvoIX seems like something that would be good, but the fact that I know not one has not be treated like a slut in a gang bang around mountains and highways and street, don't want to be rebuilding a 4g63 engine after 10 000kms of driving it. Stage2 2.2L EvoX engine =$19 995 Stage1 2.3L EvoIX engine= $18 995 numbers form AMS but I don't know about the xr6t engine. Also guys thank you so much for all this help...cant be more grateful. Yeah that merc is Sick but euro cars and Australia don't mix...parts cost and service is fk'd...golf 2003 2L NA clutch costed my friend 1.5k + import fees without hands to install....but yeah looks nice but im not that into euro cars hahaha BTW nice Falcon.
  22. Not on p's anymore, and I work 2 jobs that pay enough lols I Driven both of the cars and that's the problem..I like them both. EvoX full custom titanium exhaust system sets me back 2.2k. While on the xr6t is half of it. And when you ask if I like RWD or AWD I like both....im fk'd in the head haha but every corner I take I like siding in it abit but gripping in it too..so I just have to figure it out for myself. But really think you all for your pros and cons. I knew it was stupid to post anything on here about a EvoX I think ill keep my xr6, swap for the xr6t and later buy an EvoX second hand, then the prices are bit lower and build it from there. THANKS ALOT EVERYONE!!!!
  23. Just remember they closing down the falcon...which is complete bs, I've gone to about 5 dealer ships in Brisbane and not one has a xr6t on display not even in the used car section..
  24. The Evo10 will cost me almost 100k....and the xr6t max 50-60k whens its done. I got a fg xr6 right now and I couldn't have asked for more..its amazing love it too death but needs a turbo!!!!!!!!!!! haha But yeah rebuilt evo10 motor with strong valves, pistons, rods, head and bottom is around 18-20k alone.... unless I but a cheap 2008 model evo10 for 30k and putout the engine, but then I have to change all the systems and cheap parts and known faults on the 2008 and turn out the same as buy almost a new one lols.... Argh this is a massive headache. Its easier to make 600hp in the ford then evo but FK! ARGH! sorry, have no idea lols
  25. Hey guys I don't know if this is the right place to ask but here goes. I love both cars, fg xr6t and the Evo10, but I don't know which one? I love power and im looking around the 300-400kw at the wheels. I know the xr6t can make a lot power easy etc and cost a lot less then modding the evo10. But I don't know what to do, I'm attached to both cars...but which one. I like highway runs and mountain cruising, I know if I do what I do in the xr6t on a mountain ill die but not in the evo, I know the evo10 engine blows a lot quicker then the xr6t. But what's your opinion? Evo10 car= 55k+ Fg Xr6t car= 40-44k Evo10 mods= 20-40K Fg xr6t mods= 10-20K
