JEFF one nice car u have . Dad bought the MK I GT-P about 6 months ago in Vixen black strips. I think it looks hot. I was dissapointed in the performance stakes it is and auto though. But now it has 15000k on the clock boy it moves now can get sub 14's now. But dad hates it when ma lil ricer (wrx) pulls away easily Overall they one kick ass package though the GT. Paul

DW: I agree in what your saying but u may add N/a 8 and 6's... But then wha about people like myself who have RICE (Wrx) we are as much as a part of the forum aswell... I say leave it to the T's... T forum... Jus ma 2c worth...

Just interested in your guys opinion. I was goin thro the other thread on shiftkits and Jeff was saying in his opinion that shiftkit would improve 1/4mile times. My questions are.. 1) do you guys think about time down the 1/4 would be much better??? if so by how much? 2) Has anybody tested this?? maybe with a Gtech.. If I get off ma ass. I will order one sometime next week and test it on the GT-P. In the end it 85 bucks jus tank of petty. Just want your opinion. Paul....

GOOD RESULT mate. maybe some of the doubters will beleive. AFR jumps a lil in the high RPM...

Peter: In saying that if this happins to me my AFR's will right?? I dun think so.. I have unichip not in XR6 but WRX.. My tuner is tuned it to perfection and I love it. But say I was to get low fuel pressure? injector prob etc.... MY car is still going to run LEAN!! No matter what tuning item u use and if tuned to suit your car. The AFR's are gunna be screwed. With the edit they presuming everything is OK and the Generic map setup accorrdingly. So I think most cars should be fine. So saying Generic maps are totally crap and dangerous is a load . I am sure SCT did the development and have safe map. But I am of the opinion people should get custom tune for ulimate safety. But the problem peter mentsioned can happen whenever and will f*ck up AFR's. Custom tuned or generic. Jus My 2c worth for today... Paul

I certainly haven't made up my mind. I drove modded LS1 today aswell. Love the noise and go for what it was. But I see more potentional in the XRT. LOVE FORCED INDUCTION. I have owned what I term a "taxi" before as I had a 11sec VL turbo. But before I make my decision I need to read more on hear about reliabilty issues. Gee that search is magic Thanx for you offer about the spin. The guys on here have AWESOME and plenty of you's offering me spin. Obviously shows that you's love your rides and proud to show them off. So that can't be a bad thing. I am comming to sydney probably next week and getting spiro to tune "the other car". I will call make sure his PHASE III is there and he can take me for a drive

From now on I not mentioning WRX Jason I said the stock XRT felt like a peace of sh*t. Not xr's in general. That was my opinion after driving one for a few hours. BUT as I said in here earlier maybe if the smoothness of power that deceives one. With the "other" car in question.... it out the blocks faaast and jus makes it feel quick. Smaller car lower to ground I dunno. I am not here for people to say go the "other car"... On here I expect people to say the XR6 turbo . But instead of abusing the other car. I thought I would have people backing it ip with a point. Like why I should make the switch. JB: I fully agree. There is no comparison between the 2. Like comparing apples to pears. They to totally different vehicles. I like the factor with the T that with little mods you have 12's and car should stay togethor. that's the thing that's pullin me over. Plus I would love to burnouts again. Mind you it is possible in my current car Jus very hard on clutch and Box.... How reliable have the 240rwkw-270rwkw cars been??? Any failures??? Gearboxs??? What weaki links whould I be aware of? eg. freken Gearbox in me current ride. Broken 2!!! I drive the car like I STOLE IT

Hey, Well my last thread got locked so PLEASE DO NOT TURN THIS INTO A sh*t FIGHT!. For those who don't know I was talkin about upgrading my REX to a T. But my veiws were called moronic and not much came out in that post. (to the guy that thinks I am moron uno who u r everyone has an opinion that's why this is disscusion forum). Sorry if I offended anyone in that post. Well I finally experinced a ride in a PHASE II. First impression was FARRRRRRRRRRK. The car hammers. The guy has 12s time slips for low 12's. I always thought the T is a very fast machine. But my argument has always been handling. The guy that owns this car has done some suspension mods aswell. I took for a drive and the car handles quite well for a family sedan. HENCE I WILL TAKE BACK THE TAXI statement. Nothin like AWD handling but very good was impressed. We immediately jumped in mine and took it for drive. The guy in T Loved the car aswell. I took it through some twisty road to give him a scare. First thing he said after getting out your car would run 12's aswell aye??? I laughed at him n told him my times. Low 13's. He thought I was lying. But after having discussion we came to conclusion that it feels that way because the T is way more rifened and boost comes smoother. WRX on other hand hits hard therfore making it feel faster than it is. Maybe this why I thought stock XR6T WAS sh*t!. But the stock rex gives much more of a kick. Well I seriously thinking of converting BACK. I moved from quick ford 6cyl to the subbie. BUT I MIGHT BE BACK!!! I seriously impressed. Well thought I would post my finding even though I was pissed off about the last post. Anyways what ever way I go you will see me on your forums and I will do my best to contribute. I have nothing to do with him but that's where I bought mine from. Relaible and fast plus he even told me how to install it over the fone. Very Nice guy.

Haven't been down there in ages. I think I posted a 1.9 last time. 60ft dun matter sh*t. With WRX I expect 2 all the time at worst. But I allways have these high HP car blast past me after that!!!!!! I can hold off the Phase I in my car. But Phase II??? HELL NO!! Got to find the slips.

I witnessed a BA XR8 VS VT CLUBBY BA XR8 VS MY99 WRX (my car) BA GT VS MY99 WRX BA GT VS VT CLUBBY BA GT VS VY CLUBBY R8 (285kw) This was all in the one night. 3 runs each best of 3. VT Clubby and the XR. 3-0 about a car length each time. XR8 and wrx 0-3 about 4 car lengths each time BA GT and WRX 0-3 about 2 carlengths each time BA GT and VT clubby 2-1 GT pips it at top end.(1/2 a car) Lower down the LS1 is ahead. BA GT Vs VY Very even they had four five runs and was always very close all came down to who got it best out the blocks. With my car I find I can munch anything pretty much out the blocks due to all wheels drive. But one way traffic after about 130km'h. All V8's and XR6t's start to munch after that. Mind you I am waaaay up the road at this stage. But I find if the car is modded enuff they catch me by the end of the 1/4. My car runs mid 13's. Just an exhaust and Boost controller. It's all fun though. Nothing I take seriously but I am soon going to be joinin XRT club. My rex is jus tooooo god damn small. But funner to drive than the xr. Paulie
