Yeah just sold it, realised it was more than I needed for work so moved it on. Ah off the top of my head the parts needed are - headlights, front bar, sill extension, top grill, grill surround, grill mounting bracket, bottom grill (maybe) side meshes for down the bottom, F6 badge, and F6 badge surround. Took me a good 18 months to find some parts like the sill extension, was kind of fun though for a while!

How To Test Fuel Pressure Reg With A Guage On A Xr6T
Armie replied to horze's topic in Fuel System & Induction Workshop
Please tell me you've gapped the plugs! I know it sounds obvious and maybe not relevant but mine had been running rough for probably a solid year, had the return line drilled out at the fuel pump but still ran rough, checked it on the dyno for ratios etc etc, the plugs I'd fitted two weeks earlier still factory gapped so a 20 minute job to gap em smaller and I'm running spot on, still a little rough on dead cold unless I let it idle for a few minutes. They rolled in a bit shortly after loading the canopy up, hasn't gotten any worse even fully loaded so no real rush to get them strengthened. It's a rough as ride without the canopy as there's no weight to hold it down, but fully loaded with everything it's fairly comfortable. Has been running like this for probably 6 months with no dramas!

G'day mate. Tray looks good! Here's what I did with mine, caopy with sub-floor and airbags in the rear so I can jack it up, prop the cnaopy and take it off. Nice and easy and takes about 10 mins to get it on/off by myself. The airbag/bump stop brackets are holding up alright but have started to fold in, have had a quote of $400 to get stronger brackets made up 25mm lower so I can run the ute lower again, the rear leafs are reset so the weight is only on the bump stop brackets instead of the leafs haha

Yeah it's mega expensive, the front bar alone is $2700 new but you'd have to be a spazz to pay that much. I've seen pretty much every FPV listed part sold on eBay in the last year haha and there's been a few good bargains and some retards wanting a mint for damaged goods, as with everything you just have to know your product hey!

Also who else has done the genuine front end conversion? I know my tuner has to his GS but he works at FPV so it doesn't really count haha

Haha, I genuinely haven't done the sums cos I don't really wanna know! It took most of a year to collect all the parts, mostly for as cheap as possible but I don't think I would get any change out of 5 grand. Not cheap hey. And yeah I mounted the number plate on the side as I had the number plate screw holes filled, and had to put the number plate on the side to let as much air go through. Also nowhere else to put it haha. I've got two sets of custom plates I'm thinking of throwing on still, in which case I'll get a sticker number plate. I've got a genuine top and bottom mesh with the FPV logo for sale as well if anyone is interested! And yeah definitely not enough nitro blue F6's around hey!

That's at the wheels. Engine wise it's got - GT3540r turbo Process West stage 2 intercooler Xforce 2.5" exhaust SS Inductions air box Mal Wood opt 3+ clutch 72 pound injectors from the states Most of the engine mods were done before I bought it but it was running very rough, took me a good year to iron out the wrinkles. Even now I've gotta suss out a few lights coming up on the dash haha. Yeah I would swap the rims over in a heartbeat if I could afford it, I'm gonna run 15mm spacers all round but can't afford them or the tyres!

Hey guys. This has been my build for a while, finally came together a few months back. Bought the ute with the intention of removing the tray and throwing a canopy on that can be jacked off for weekend use, has come up mostly how I wanted it. Here's a general rundown - 405kw motor, SS inductions airbox Xforce exhaust Mal Wood opt3+ clutch etc etc Full FPV front end, all parts genuine Ford items Custom canopy with subfloor Airbags in rear to remove canopy by pumping up and propping Full sound system Haha kind of custom interior with orange vinyl wrapped dash, few other trims Few other bits and pieces, nothing special When I first got it One of the props to get the canopy off I've done as much as I can to the ute and have learnt a bit (having never worked much on cars) Next up are some white BF Cobra rims I picked up a while back to throw on, just saving for semi slicks but I'm flat poor after that damn front end conversion haha! Hope it's alright

Hey guys, I've picked upa genuine F6 front bar and am gonna eventually put it on my FG XR6, but I don't have the plastic support that goes behind it and holds it in place. I was wondering if anyone knows if the G6E supports are the same or similar, as well as the plastic stone guard? A lot will get cut away to accommodate the intercooler but the main support points would be handy. Cheers

Ah idles a little rough, we think it's sh*tty injectors. Haven't had the car for long so still finding more and more about it, didn't come with a lot of receipts for the done work! We've knocked it back to 16 pounds making 383kw, more than enough for a pack mule haha

Hey lads, my name's Armie, I'm from Geelong, and I own an FG XR6T ute, pushes 405kw on 17 pound. Will throw up pics but here's a link http://www.bulletperformanceracing.com.au/Ford-FG-Falcon%20Turbo.html
