Hello all. I was looking at buying an xr6 turbo ute that's for sale but its an auto. other than that its pretty much exactly what im looking for and pretty cheap. I was just wondering how much it would cost for a manual conversion? cheers guys

I'm looking at a few Fg xr6 turbos and was wondering how many k's is too many? Would a mildly stock Fg be better then a fully modded ba/bf? And are the fpvs much better then the xr's? Cheers

I'm definitely leaning towards your ute mate (Henz') I really like it. I'm moving to Ballarat in January so I could just pick it up then but I don't know if I can wait that long. Lol. I miss turbos so much!! I have always wanted an xr6 turbo ute and it's finally happening. Lol

Lol yeh that's exactly what I'm thinking?! I like Henz' because of the colour and it's a bf mk2. And I probably wouldn't kill myself on the way home. Ha. Well there the only two nice manuals with the work done in my price range. There are stock ones or less modded ones but there only a little bit cheaper so I don't see the point. I think there the best two options for me right now.

So I'm stuck between the 750hp ute in ballina and henz' ute?? Any thoughts. Remembering I'm in qld. Cheers guys

Yeh the fgs are really nice. I really like them but can't find any nice manuals in good condition with low k's in my budget. I don't want an auto. I have an auto now and its soooooooo boring!! If you know of any for sale let me know

Also he said most the work was done at chiptorque. And if I got the gtx45 or something and a new manifold n sh*t on e85 it could see 1000hp. Not that I would ever need it but its food for thought. Lol

I just got back from a long day of driving. Drove to ballina to check out that 750hp ute. Man it was pretty fkn sweet! I didn't get to drive it (was too scared to anyway). Lol. But he took me for a drive in it. Was sweet. Could possibly be too quick for me maybe? Lol but I do love it. Maybe I could get another tune that had less boost? Or should I steer away and look at henz' ute or the others that have been suggested (jd and spazzo. Which I have yet to see?!) At the end of the day. I'm still in the same position. Haha it's a sweet ute and I could definitely see myself driving it every day.

Also. Would I be better off buying an Fg or buying a ba or bf and modding it?

Thanks for all the help so far. So the mods were done in 07. Could there be a few things that could go wrong soon? I thought it would be better to buy one with all the work already done as opposed to doing it myself. Wouldn't it be much cheaper and wouldn't lose so much on resale? Keep it coming. Cheeers

Hey. This is my first post on here I am selling my BMW to get back into the turbos. I'm 23 and live in brissy. I've found this xr6 turbo ute I like. I was just wondering what your thoughts were on it. If I should get it or try and pick one up for cheap from dealer auctions or something and then do the work myself. If so where should I do the work and what sort of money am I looking at. This ute that is already had the work done has 750hp on an e85 tune and 600hp on a 98 tune. I'm not sure I need all that power. Lol. Would It even get traction? If I were to buy one stock and get the work done I would like to get about 450-500hp atw. Just so I can brag to my mate who has 430hp in his r33. Lol So yeh let me know what you guys think. My budget is about 20-22. Note I also want to get some really nice super wide wheels with some good offset and some tunes eventually.
