  1. Heard the same thing, I had fitted mine then went for a tune and he said the baby turbo prefers the stock pipe, go figure. I trust him. Not worth it just for the note
  2. I took the supplied scaling data to Bruce and he also said it was messed up. To Dave's credit he offered to have a chat but that offer was politely refused. Either way, I'm happy with the outcome.
  3. I'm heading down south to see him in a few weeks, I'm genuinely interested as well. I've no reason to doubt him, I take his word.
  4. That would be a convenient conclusion but I think Heinrich knows his way around Ford turbos. I'll ask him next time I see him, might have been something particular with my setup.
  5. Mods are PW stepped cooler, 1000cc injectors, Streetfighter intake, PWR heat exchanger and a Venom cat. In no way does the delete pipe cause any of the issues above. My tuner said I could leave it on if I preferred the note but said he could get better results / more response with it stock. Something about too much flow for the baby turbo? Ended up with 320kw @ 15psi.
  6. I bought one of these (not PW) and my tuner wasn't too pleased. He said performance wise it's no good for the small FG turbo. He tuned with it on, then told me the above. I got him to take it off and touch up the tune and it was a bit more responsive. Maybe someone with a bit of know how could chime in.
  7. I picked up 12kw going from stock to the kpm street fighter with no other changes. Was on dyno before fitting and straight after

Is there anything official from ZF?, not that I don't trust the guy that is trying to sell a knock off of it.
  9. Absinthe and flamed sugar cubes, bad for all involved
  10. Bushmills or Makers Mark...come on
  11. Yes, mine was one of them, but not n/a, G6ET picked up about 10kw straight swap Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4
  12. @Z2TT the car is plenty scary at 320rwkw. Maybe because I started at 250rwkw. I have a little bit of lag up to 60km/h but that is due to the intake muffler delete, then it takes off. Will put the muffler back on and go back for a touch up tune and I'll be happy enough, for the time being
  13. I had the PW stage 1 installed last week, and it is pretty big for no cutting. Easy max out the stock fg turbo with plenty of wiggle room
  14. FG G6ET 14.4L/100km stock at average 33km/h, up to 15.9L/100km tuned at 319rwkw I think it's my right foot and 1000CC squirters
  15. I pulled 318.9kw with the stock fg turbo today at about 16psi. PW stage 1 stepped cooler, venom bolt on cat, 1000cc injectors, BMC pod filter / street fighter air box. *disclaimer - south australian
  16. Some poor bugger broke his trans on Friday and took the lancer so I got the laser
  17. Picked up the car from Bruce this arvo, wow! 318.9 SA 8F shoot out kw with pretty basic mods on the baby fg turbo. It's a hoot and pulls like a freighter! He thinks I left 10kw on the table because I'd replaced the intake muffler with the plazmaman pipe. Might have to go back again :-). But bugger me, I enjoyed the loan car. 5 speed laser with 280k kms on the clock, 5 stars, would loan again.
  18. Dropping the G6ET off with Bruce tomorrow morning. Very keen to see what he can do with it
  19. I picked up 10kw with the KPM airbox and BMC filter. Had a before and after run. To be fair, I think the stock filter was due to be replaced which might have accounted for some of that gain.
  20. Great result for the mods mate, you must be pretty happy
  21. Thanks Dave, so should be ok with the 1000's.
  22. Aren't you running about a bazillion more kw than I'll be?
  23. Good info, I already have the 1000CC EV14, was just a bit concerned they may be overkill. Was thinking of swapping for 550's but after a bit of reading and talking to my tuner I'll stick with the 1000's. Will see how we go.
  24. Cheers, tuner said he doesn't mind as long as they aren't drilled
  25. Yes I will ask Mr Tuner man but as a rough guide which would be more appropriate idle / power / economy wise considering the following mods and desired outcome for my G6ET. PW stage 1 cooler + pipes Street fighter air box Venom 100 cpi cat I'm not chasing a dyno figure, more so driveability, reliability and a bit more go. I'm also (fingers crossed) not going to be doing anymore power mods in the future as I'd like to concentrate on suspension and maybe true trac next. I understand a good tuner can play with the duty cycle if the injector is willing, but which would you go for and why? Ta
