  1. New front upper control arms, camber kit & mud flaps custom cut to suit the fpv side skirts. Probally should have changed them bushes a little earlier [emoji28]. Driveshaft donut & centre bearing are tearing again & they're only 2.5yrs & 3.5yrs old respectively. Any heavy duty options out there or just keep sacrificing rubber? Had the intention of raising the front up while I was there... Decided to lower it again instead.
  2. Should help my 1/4 mile times too! (YouTube work ute vs 86) Had been planning to get an aluminium jack off canopy for ages but it would never have suited the body shape as well as this thing does and cost way more $$$
  3. I did cut cut. Fits like a glove [emoji108]
  4. HAHA Bloody hope not! [emoji28]Told me they pulled it off a falcon but didn't know what model. Found some historic images floating around the internet & looks like an au or ba.
  5. Just bought this canopy for 500$, fairly rough. now to spend another 2-3k making it jack off with its own floor. Not sure what I'll do about matching up the front yet. Cut nose off the canopy or cut headboard off the tray or just keep the 200mm rear overhang. Its 'Lowline' branded. Anyone know about em? I can't find any information.
  6. Bit of an interior clean for the work horse with new shift & handbrake leathers today. Seat and steering wheel leathers are getting very shabby but I'll stretch a couple more years out of em. Hopefully picking up a new door for me xf panel van tomorrow after I did the old 'reverse with the door open and clean up the wheelie bin' trick.
  7. Haha, only got 1 video so far, flat out with work atm. Ill chuck pallet of bricks on the back, that always lays her flat! Front coilovers are always on a 'construction site compatible' setting 😂
  8. Last weekend installed Airbag man RR4660 airbag kit in the turbo ute. Was getting sick of laying frame getting in and out of job sites while loaded up.
  9. I had a NPC and now a Malwood clutch (both single plate) FG with 300rwkw. Both very similar feeling, NPC a little heavier. But whatever brand you go, get Malwoods upgraded alloy master and slave cylinders. The extra pedal pressure from a heavy duty clutch made my (and many others) factory plastic master cylinder snap and also my standard style slave leak while I had the NPC kit.
  10. There's one in there, silver thingy hidden behind the dip stick
  11. Figured I'd put my finished catch can setup in the thread. 2x 20$ ebay cans for the separate lines. Should be all technically correct & legal but not exactly stealthy looking. This is the oil I've caught over the 1200km they've been installed. 4ml from the front breather 18ml from the back breather
  12. My tuners did the wastegate flapper mod at this power level too
  13. Next up is exhaust manifold turbo rebuild. New turbo core, gaskets, braided water line and weird ass Mamba stud kit and Norlock washers. I'm going to run all mating surfaces over with sand paper before I reassemble. Should I basically be tightening everything as tight as I can with a ring spanner or should I get the Ugga dugga out? Don't have a torque wrench or any common sence on hand lol
  14. Cleaned the fg coolant bottle, not perfect but much better. Chlorine bleach, dishwasher tablet and rock salt as the abrasive scrubber. Didn't want to use rice like the internet says because of all the bottles little chambers.
  15. Well turd... Ordered replacement turbo core 5 weeks ago now, like the day before this forum post. Did you end up getting anything out of him? @JohnTurbotech
  16. I put a walbro 460 in over 2 yrs ago with no wiring or regulator mods and my fuel pressure gauge has never shown any pressure fluctuation. 300rwkw fg turbo
  17. The good 2nd hand turbo in his (my) video is now 2.5yrs later sounding like the bad turbo lol.
  18. The handle fits over the (yellowish) plastic studs and the factory melts them down to make a plastic rivet thingy holding in the handle. What I did on a mates fg is use pointy nose pliers to snap off the melted bits holding the handle on. Then to reattach the new handle, drilled and used pan head screws in the remains of the plastic studs.
  19. Ill Chase the pics up off the guy, I think he should be back in town. The A/C typically drips onto the carpet from the center when its drain is blocked, not near the door sills. Directly above the grommet (just out of photo) there's a drain that comes from the windscreen. The guy tested with the grommet in & out and water was definitely pouring straight in that way. You can take the quarter panel off or unclip the plastic wheel arch lining and stick your head in there to see if the grommet has popped out or not. Total repairs and paint was around $2500 Cut out both the outer layer (pictured) and the middle layer or steel. The back layer was cleaned up and sealed before replacement outer & middle panels were welded back into place.
  20. Agreed. Especially since it's an aggressively different grip type. There's existing aftermarket ones at the same price point with more a factory grip style.
  21. Thoughts on new Ferrari style steering wheel? Up for preorder now
  22. Oops, my bad, this is the clip from me pannel van [emoji2960]
  23. Clutch is 5yrs & 50,000km old so doubt any warranty would last that long. I am pretty hard on it honestly, think I just need to stop some of my bad habits and get someone else to pick up the bunnings trailers. [emoji1] Will probally order a malwood option 3+ with the extra bits. Reckon a twin plate will be a bit difficult for my daily work use. And I've (financially) decided that 300kw is enough power...
