  1. It won't be the same, but It'll get you as close a possible to it with what you've got.
  2. I'd leave that one there mate. It's the overload leaf. It only ever takes weight when carrying large loads or in a big dip/pothole. Adds stiffness to the pack only in the last inch or 2 to help stop slamming into the bump stop and breaking things. Removing won't help with lowness or driving comfort
  3. This pic from top down is Xr6 500kg King Springs 750kg And Ford 1 ton. So removing the bottom 2 leaves from the pack will probably give you something like the standard 1 ton pack. It'll definitely be more comfortable but nowhere near xr6 low. Sport leaves are flatter so your leaves will never sit low unless you have them reset, which'll cost more than a second hand set. Each leaf removed should be replaced with a steel plate on the bottom of the pack, to maintain the pack thickness. otherwise you'll be changing the min/max stroke distance of the shocks and they may top out or bottom out early.
  4. Yep, that looks just like fords Heavy Duty 1 tonne leaf pack, not the regular 1 ton, the heavy duty 1 ton. Only good if your always carrying a load. How much weight do you actually intend to carry? Xr6 sports suspension is 500kg Standard is 750kg Or the regular 1 ton pack which is still high but a bit softer to drive empty.
  5. There is but it may be a donating members feature. Here's the instructions for posting photos via imgur. https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/92470-how-to-put-images-in-your-post/
  6. If you could post a photo of your leaf pack would be best. But it sounds like you have a 1 ton leaf pack. If you don't carry anything heavy the safest thing to do would get an xr sports leaf pack. Should be easy to find on Facebook from people who have put in lower leaves. But remove from the bottom of the pack moving up. The separate lowest spring is probably an overload spring. The 1 ton packs have a higher natural ark in them than the sport leaves so removing enough to make it low would leave it basically useless for carrying anything and loose AF.
  7. RC0083RZ-22 is the part number. Whiteline have a cheaper version too but it's non adjustable and the brackets & bits did not look particularly impressive.
  8. Installed a Superpro rear swaybar under the ute and my God does it work! Carrying my full ton of gear with a higher than usual centre of gravity it holds the ass end way flatter. Made custom the chassis brackets as the ones supplied were too long and would clash with the spring bracket. But definitely worth the 8 months it took to get one lol
  9. All the better for tax claiming new turbos with my dear!
  10. Got my gvm upgrade yesterday, I'm now officially & legally a turbo one tonner.
  11. ?upgraded? from 19" sport to 17" high load commercial wheels & tyres. Am now wheely torn as what to do with all my spares.
  12. I went complete over kill 6 yrs ago. 100% coverage with deadening through everything but the floor and up to 2 layers of car builders insulation where I could fit it in the ceiling and back wall, was trying to cut out rattles, road & wind noise from the headboard ladder rack mostly. Helps with temp and the Doof Doof too.
  13. I've never had that problem, although I do have an extra inch of sound deadening and insulation in the ceiling lol.
  14. Gotta pay extra for them nuts, steel ain't cheap! Honestly my life flashed before my eyes thinking I could have died. Goes in every 6 months and half way to its next visit. Mechanic is good and lists things that need attention soon or coming up which gives me 6 months to either do it myself or sort out parts for him to do at next service.
  15. Went under ute to identify what centre bearing & Driveshaft coupling I need, while looking around I discovered a disturbing lack of one nut in particular. [emoji2962]
  16. My kit came with a barb on it. If yours doesn't then yea, drill & weld.
  17. Just went out to my parts pile & found the old one. It seems I may not have install the larger backing plate that came with it from the wreckers and left the factory small one in. It's mounted 100% solid though. Would have had to cut the lining with a knife to fit the glasses holder part as it is recessed up into the roof space. Lining needs to come out anywayas it's screwed in from above.
  18. Here's how the BOV is installed with my turbo side kit. (green = hose, blue = BOV) I'm using a GFB Deceptor Pro adjustable BOV but the stock one will connect up just fine in the same spot
  19. Mounts to the roof lining the same as the standard one from memory, gotta take ceiling down to do it I think, easy enough job. I did it like 5 yrs ago so memory is a little fuzzy on the details
  20. Washed ute That is all Unrelated : Whiteline have %25 off everything atm till 6th december. Looking at rear sway bar for my tank but its smaller and non-adjustable compared to the Superpro
  21. New fence down one side of my place done, took a week to do solo, not including the 2yrs of putting it off. Still 6 or so truck loads of clearing the other side of the block till I can do it too.
  22. If tub bolts are coming loose you'd be able to grab it in the wheel arch and give it a lift n see if it lifts up, bolts could legit be rattled loose. If you want to know where the bolts are to tighten everything back up here's a video from an awesome forum member :
  23. I thought that was just a dual cab thing! [emoji2962] Reckon I've got about 150kg to save with removing a few things straight up
  24. If anyone knows part numbers for the genuine ford 1ton leaf spring pack that would be great [emoji108] Challenge atm is 102 load rated wheels and tyres to fit the turbo brakes and front suspension
  25. Got the canopy all Fabricated and roughed in shelving & drawer setup for the tools. Ute looked like it was struggling with the weight and the weighbridge sure confirmed it. 2.88Ton! (with only 1 of the 3 Barras) [emoji28] Gotta do some serious weight shedding and gvm upgrade it to a 1 Tonner.
