  1. This is a quick video of my BA2 Xrt at about 3/4 throttle. Reasonably modified, 345rwkw. The car didn't make this noise when I got it, literally 3 hours after, it started. Should note it has a full 3'' intake piping, CAPA intercooler and U/B intake. Absolutely no power loss, hits 18psi boost, then falls back to 15psi. Unsure wether it has always done this or not as I haven't paid that much attention to the boost gauge. I am of course talking about the whine whilst boosting, NOT the hiss of the BOV.
  2. I cant upload any more photos as my usb cord for my phone wont work :( Yeah tis a CAPA cooler, all I can really tell you about the dyno sheets is she makes peak power at 5300rpm and torque at the same. Anything particular you wanted to know?
  3. Nah I've driven it on 18psi and yeah, its pretty quick. No your right I wont want to tune it back to 7psi ever haha! Luckily for me the car is in the same town I'm in. I'm planning on dyno-ing her asap, but after watching many xr6t's going pop on the dyno im slightly nervous :/ I've been told that when tuned by CORSA, it was tuned to a safe, everyday state.
  4. Yeah I'll definatly get her dyno'd asap, only problem is we have no really reputable dynos in town, but I can at least get a power figure. I might save the 18psi tune for every now and again and just run her at 7psi for the majority of the time, that way when I do feel like flexing it, the possibility of it going bang is much lower.
  5. Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Being a BA2, does it have the stronger bottom end and stock valve springs or is that just BF? Would you recommend not giving it too much on 18psi or what? One of the tunes is for 7psi, probably a better option for every day would you say? That being said its been running that much boost for quite a few years now, if it was gunna go, wouldnt it have already? Cheers
  6. Hi all, I've been a regular on AFF Forums for quite a while with my N/A BF XR6 ( ill put a few pics up of her) but have now decided its time for boost! Picking the new girl up Friday or Monday, very excited! The new rig is a BA2 turbo, 6 speed manual 345rwkw, I know very little about whats been done, but ill let you guys know in case you can see any issue or things to look out for in the near future in regards to how its been tuned. As far as I know, Custom intake plenum, CAPA intercooler with full 3'' piping, under battery intake, full exhaust system (which is huge by the way!), running 18psi, has 3 flash tunes with it done by CORSA, Nizpro valve springs, and probably a lot more that Ive forgotten. that's about all for the engine side of things, she's also got a built LSD good for 450rwkw, and big brakes. My main concern it that apart from the Nizpro valve springs, the engine internals are dead stock. That being said its had over 300kw for years, engine has only done 56,000. So to all you tuners out there, how much further do you think the power could be pushed before I need to open up the engine? Now for some fun stuff! Heres the old BF ( which is for sale by the way!)
