I have a whine in my diff at 70kph and again at 85 - 95kph. told my dealer, a new diff is on the way. apparently!

as far as I can tell, no they are not run through your speakers. they only operate when u shift into reverse. and they use ultrasonic waves. so they may not be able to pick up poles and the like.

how much petrol was in it? sounds a little like fuel surge? I never let mine go under 1/4 tank of juice. when u went around the roundabout, maybe all the petrol sloshed to one side of the tank, momentarily starving the fuel pump pick up?

I dont know if anybody cares, but simmons are making the 5 spoke in a 19in. they should be available in late march. and I guess they will do the same as what they do at the moment. use the 19in centre, and put a 20in outer rim on it if u want 20's. this is what they do with the current 17/18in 5 spokes. the centre's are all the same. 17/18in and I guess 19/20in. :D by the way, I just put some 19in on my turbo, cost me $3700 with falken rubber.

I work at a dealership and this wayne fella comes in all the time!! did the dealer also tell you that you might void certain parts of your warranty by replacing your intercooler pipes? wonder if he will cover that mod as well? so many wayne's , so little bs.

couldn't agree more. with petrol prices skyrocketing, 500hp is going to require a lot of juice! 240kw is just fine.

I have metallic all round, and it hasnt affected anything. I was warned that it would affect my sat nav, apparently the sensors are up under the parcel shelf, but it is still as accurate as ever. Radio reception hasn't been affected. However, I only listen to FM. It seems to be better (reception wise) than any other car ive ever driven.

if your smash repairer has trouble obtaining another wheel let me know. last time I checked, ford melbourne were out of stock of the 17in rims. we bought the last 20 because 4 sets got knocked off out the back of where I work!!! we have 2 left over and we can sell it and freight it to your smash repairer if necessary. make doubly sure your car is returned to "pre accident" condition.

this whole friggin web site is so cool... I had no idea that if you purchase a alarm you can get the windows to wind up as a extra! I doubt it very much that I would of found out about this feature any other way... thank you peoples!!!!!!!!

I would be very wary of chipping my car. if I melted a piston or something bad like that and I was chipped, id expect not to be covered by warranty. you have changed the way the computer operates the car. its just not worth it in my books. exhaust yeah, bigger frontmount yeah, air filter yeah, chip no thanks. it is good to see performance companies looking into modifying our cars though!!

according to my dealer (gregorys) you dont have to take extended warranty out straight away. you can save up over the course of the 3 yr warranty, and pay for extended warranty roughly 6mths before the 3 yr factory warranty expires. I hope they arent pulling my leg....

I dont think it would be feasible to supercharge the 5.4ltr from the factory. look at the power bulge in the bonnet already, how big would it be with a 4/71 underneath it as well? there would be vision problems from the drivers seat eg not being able to have full unrestricted view of the road and pedestrians etc. I would love it, but we have to be realistic here. centrifugal maybe.... aftermarket only I think. that way you can cut the bonnet or do whatever u want.

I have a g-tech pro, and I find it gives varied results. Things like a not completely smooth road, ever so slight turns, ultra noisy (unmuffled turbo rotary) can give really inaccurate readings. If u use it on a drag strip, it might be different, but if u just want to test a new mod you have done to your car, I wouldn't trust it. but considering my nearest drag strip is over 300klm away, I havent got much choice!! lets put it this way, dont take the figures that a g-tech spits out at you for gospel.

I just hope nobody does it for me!!! and scratch it!!!

I saw a turbo ute get delivered today at our dealership (31/1/03) I dunno how long it has been on order though...

if possible, never use woolies petrol. I work at a dealership and ive seen fuel filters completely blocked due to continuous use of quality woolies petrol. you get what you pay for.

creaky steering when going slow ie reversing and drive thru's. and also the cruise control surging but I can live with that. otherwise extremely happy.
