I work for ford sapre parts, and the brembo's come out on the gt's, and they havent been catalogued on ford microcat yet! I am not sure yet of u have to change the suspension arm. At this stage the list is: 4 callipers, 4 rotors, wheel bearings, 4 brake lines. I hope the pads come with the calipers! I wont know what else until we take delivery of a gt with brembo's or a gtp. I have fitted 19's to my chariot so clearance isn't a problem. there is no such thing as overkill in brake department if u ask me! and they look super!

im pretty sure u cant just whack brembo rotors on without brembo calipers. the brembo rotor is MUCH bigger, and the brembo caliper compensates that, by having longer brackets to bolt the caliper to the suspension arm. This is what I can tell from the microcat parts interpretation system anyway... and the conversion wont be cheap either! brembo and cheap dont go together!!! but I hope u get what u pay for. I will be doing this conversion on my t when the ba gt gets catalogued on microcat, and the parts are readily available.

at this stage I cant see any probs with buying gt bits if u havent got a gt. but never say never! I dont think ford has ever done it, and I cant see them starting now. our microcat gets updated every month, so as soon as I know, ill let u know. If anyone gets part numbers before me, can they PLEASE let me know!!! im waiting for the brakes (brembo), pedals, and steering wheel.

im all over this chris, as soon as the gt gets catalogued on microcat, I will look up all the good stuff and let u know. Power window switches: pass side single illuminated : BA 14529 B rec retail $170! drivers side main bank : BA 14A132 A rec retail $152.50! these are all illuminated.

I went to a hsv drive day one day, and it was very one sided. if u took anything along that wasnt hsv, u were made look like a w@nkr. and it made the people that didnt take genuine hsv's along extremely uncomfortable. Including myself. I dont want that to happen. and the arguments were incredible. and the b**ching too! hey, ive got a supercharged falcon and id love to bring it along. but I dont want everyone talking behind my back. calling me a w@nkr! so ill take the turbo instead.

my personal opinion - make it for ba xr's only the first time, and if it goes well, make a decision for the next bbq to let other fords in as well. I own "other" fords as well, yes I would like to bring them along sometime, but not the first time. Dunno really, how was the dyno day? was there any non ba xr's there, and how was the atmosphere/attitude towards them?

has it got anything to do with the fact that the throttle body never closes on gear changes? therefore the turbo itself doesnt lose any revs? and therefore no boost loss? im no genius, but im pretty sure this is why auto's "sometimes" go faster than manuals. I said sometimes! is it possible to flat change a manual? I own a xr6t auto, but one of my other cars is supercharged. and its nearly impossible to sucessfully flat change. and therefore impossible to keep the intake manifold pressurised all the time.

dont give up I didnt! I placed a order for a car, paid a deposit, and I wanted what I paid for! not some salesmans mistake! I didnt make the mistake, why should I have to wear it? you will not have the same opinion of the car if u back down, and take what they want. if it breaks down or something bad, your attitude will be like "I knew I should have waited, and argued, and got the car I wanted" that's my opinion anyway. and it worked. good luck. you'll need it. ive got a ripper for youse... my dealer ordered me the wrong colour! I originally ordered blueprint, then changed my mind, rung the dealer the very next day, and the dealer didn't amend the order! car showed up, wrong colour! they managed to find me another one somehow with the options I wanted in 3 weeks! shoudn't have happened in the first place! all good now.

air con is fitted at the factory, not at the dealers.

im pretty sure both options are dealer fitted. not definite though!

Mate is your car a manula or an auto. If its a manual have you noticed any difference in driveline snatch between the two diffs? mine is a auto, sorry!

had the diff replaced today and all is quiet! so far! see how I go.

we put filters on all falcons at 45k's. I wouldn't like my car running around with the same air filter for over two years!

I thought one of the reasons of going fly by wire was to cut down NVH levels. you no longer have a cable connected to the motor (noisiest part of the car) going through the firewall transmitting noise and vibrations into the cabin. :idea:

depends on what service, whether it is a interim (drop oil, change filter etc), minor (air filter plus minor etc) or major (fuel filter, plugs, change diff and g/box fluids etc) we will wait and see I guess! $160 service for a Late model camira would have been maybe a minor service? (I hope)
