followed a red ba xr8 to eastern creek last weekend, and he has put the "dual tips" on it. he was using the same oval tips as the supercharged commondores use. didn't look too bad at all! sorry, didnt get to hear it! :lol:

ford power u are correct in that sense. all of my experience in tuning cars (including my own xc) with haltech and ems etc didnt include the use of a hego sensor in the exhaust permanently. I kinda forgot about that sensor reading what would be exiting the manifold. the computer would continuously trying to alter the mixtures, one minute it is spot on, then a gearchange or lift off the accel, and its all over the place, and next minute is it spot on. back to the books for me. lets get 1 thing straight. if ondole wants to run his bov to the atmo, or another aftermarket bov, let him do it. its all about being individual and stepping outside the square. if nobody thought differently, we would have a very boring world!!!! look at street tuner for example. being different, being adventurous, and bam! 300kw!

Sorry, I dont remember saying I was actually GOING TO DO THIS MOD!!! Just explaining all the ramifications in doing this modification! eg: why it will muck up all the air/fuel ratios.... isnt that what forums are all about? I fully wash my car whenever I can, and it gets a full polish using the Meguiars Gold Class wax stuff before ANY trip totalling more than 100klms. especially if im using the car bra. im real fully. and it has over 5000klms on it and only 1 chip! Fussiness pays!

I was talking to my tuner, and he said the a/f ratio shoudn't change during cruise or accelleration because the bov is "closed". all it should do is puff a little black smoke after gear changes or when the manifold is in vacuum, because the computer thinks that there is still x amount of air in the intake and will inject the correct amount of fuel mixture. But all the air wont be there (because it was exhausted by the bov) so it will richen up. should only happen when the intake manifold is in a vacuum state. and the bov is being sucked open. I think this is right.... PLEASE NOTE WE ARE ONLY HUMAN!! MISTAKES CAN AND WILL HAPPEN!!!

tan, to be honest I dont know! it "looks" identical to all the photos of the "sports" wheels in this forum. its got a autotek sticker inside it. autotek are involved with all the momo gear. it cost me $550 plus freight. Retail from ford is well over $800!!! in my view, it is more comfy than the momo, but each to their own I guess.

I find the sports wheel super! and so does rob herrod! that is where I got mine from.

im pretty sure the xr6t's are modded to around 260kw. I remember reading it somewhere in a dealer magazine. I could be wrong I guess..... :auto:

umm, got the update this morning. and the gt isnt catalogued. :( I am really sorry to get everyones hopes up. as soon as I have the numbers I will let u know. Unfortunately, the cataloging is out of my control. Once again, if anyone hears of any other dealerships having the gt catalogued, can they let me know asap. :cussing: :reallymad:

some lucky b@stard just took delivery of our first gt! "wipes tears away" it was like a child being born! I didn't want it to leave!!! Please come back, I miss u phantom! We were together only for 6 hrs. And I didnt even get a drive! :(

PEOPLES!!! some news from Microcat (electronic parts interpretation system) there is a update coming out on the 9th of May, it "should" have all the gt catalogued. I have been told there will be a update done on our systems some time next week, so hopefully I will have some part #'s! if everybody could keep a ear out for any other ford dealerships that has the gt catalogued, and let me know, it would be much appreciated. as soon as I have the numbers, I promise youse will too!!!

totally agree turbotrana. I have a xc with over 200,000 klms on it, stock as a rock, and I went and strapped a vortech supercharger running 15 psi on it. I dont run it a 6 grand all the time, but it does get a good "go" every now and then and it is still hanging together. but im sure if it was to sit full load on a dyno at 6 grand for a hour or so, I dont think id have much left!!!

nope, the chariot I saw definately had stripes. And I "think" it had vic rego plates. More on the road than I first thought!! You beauty!!! Gregorys still havent received any gt's, gtp's or pursuits. :( Mcgraths have had theirs for a while now. Go figure. apparently there are some that have been ordered at gregorys. only a matter of time I guess.

I saw the same (maybe) citric acid gt on the monaro highway on friday, he or she had opted for the stripes on the bottom of the car. Was pissing down with rain, out driving his/her gt/gt-p. You legend!

my xc has twin factory pipes out the back, and it does look super. especially the twin "factory bumps" in the rear bar so the tips have a bit more room. plenty of cars running around with twin pipes, but not many that left the factory like that!

chrislak, I love your work. ive got a lot of time for both u and street tuner who are just out to have a LOT of fun and experiment with their chariots.

u can get reverse sensors on anything, XT's, Futura, XR's as well. I think they are factory on ghia's. And it can be put in afterwards by any "competent" dealer. (is there such a thing!.....only kidding!)

I know mercury silver is m7, phantom is p3, and white is a1 (I think) , but what is blood orange? I can check stock.

what colour are u waiting on? I know there is a shortage in spoilers for the hardcovers, but I am not aware of any delays in hardcovers. I havent had any problems sourcing them for our new car dept. So far......

the sat nav dvd drive is located in the boot, the dvd drive for the roof mounted dvd player is located under the passengers seat. I dont think ford would let u watch dvd's on the main icc ford screen, its illegal while the car is in motion. Aftermarket however........
