I got a mercury silver sedan with 19's, ultra dark windows, and personalised plates. Cant wait until the next meet!
  2. me no good. how about you mondie?
  3. I remember xr240. we had truckloads of trouble getting his spoiler for his hard cover! cjl, saw your car getting serviced a while back as well! never forget the wheels u got on it! looks super. I think ive also seen u cruisin along flemington rd a few times.... or somebody else in a xr6t that looks exactly like yours!!!
  4. sorry everyone! I edited my post before! probably looks kinda confusing!
  5. its been a week since ive been at work (4 wisdom teeth out), so my memory aint all that good, but I think the first letter is "B" and I think maybe "7"? so b7? probably wrong. they drugged me up bigtime in the chair!!!
  6. I personally reckon the 18's look SUPER for a factory wheel. they'd have to handle a little different I guess; not as much sidewall to play with. small price to pay methinks!!! go on, u know u want to.....
  7. My opinion on the ford auto vs manual? Dont stress until someone blows one up. And I mean blows one up! None of this "oh, I stripped my 3rd synchro" crap, or "I broke off my SSS shifter" attempts, I want broken pieces! As many as possible! Because if you break bits in your car, its a sign that you are trying!!! (no offence to anyone who has stripped syncro's or snapped off their shifter)

    Ok I've Gone Nuts

I tried the meguiars tyre black "gel" stuff the other day and im not a fan. Is it too hard to apply or is it just me? Seems to be really hard to get into the nooks and crannies of the sidewall writing? I seem to have more sucess with the "foam" products. Stays shinier and easier to apply. Or maybe im just lazy?

    New Ba

I seem to remember seeing a EA "GT" as well, ford made this car, put a 351 Windsor in it, and it never made it to the showroom floor. Rumours, rumours. I dont believe rumours until they are set in concrete. Id like to believe it!!!!! I really would! And I think its a possibility.
  10. mrs ms700 just got a promotion that involves a company car, would rather rack up all the commuter kays on it than in the turbo. The "t" gets taken on all the long trips, but I just havent had time lately to even go for a quick blat around town unfortunately. I do miss it, there is nothing more frustrating than having a super car in the shed and not having the time to drive it! :tears: Probably doing more harm than good, only getting started once every blue moon....
  11. if leather is a problem, here is a idea maybe. Drop the leather, and get herrods to do a full re-stich in leather for you later on. I know it wont be factory leather, but if it gets you your car earlier, maybe something to think about? Only for those who are desperate I guess! If premium sound is a problem, im sorry, looks like you will have to wait! I dont think its right to have to delete options off your car, in order to get the car delivered the same year you order it!
  12. that's another 5. not trailing by much.....
  13. I am in the process of "fixing" my brakes at the moment. even though my standards havent shuddered yet. I bought my calipers last week and they cost me over 2k by themselves!! with no pads! :holiday: but you get what you pay for! I hope anyway!!!!! AP Racing calipers, AP Racing 362mm 2 piece rotors, alloy fixing hat, brackets, fixings, lines, fluid, that will be just under 6k thanks!!! and then they have to be fitted! I am buying them piece by piece to make the impact on the wallet more softer, and also to give me motivation to work more and get them fitted. gotta fill the 19's up with something..... Will post before and after photos when the job gets done (if I can afford a digital camera!)
  14. crickey I need to get out more!!! picked mine up 16th december, only got 6200klms on it! you get that I guess, I havent driven it at all this month.... :(
  15. big time. I would have thought the factory would have greased the bolts before bolting the rack up. oh well its all fixed now. all well that ends well.
  16. 1axr exactly the same for me, they lubricated the mounting bolts that hold the rack to the chassis (I think!), clunk gone completely. Much happier now. Much quieter now!

    Help Needed

I can help out if u need esky. I got a mercury silver xr6t sedan with 19's on it, I can put the original wheels back on it if he is after originality!? have always wanted to do this, done plenty of formal runs in the XC! just thinking, I may not be able to put the 17's back on, im putting ap racing brakes on shortly. let me know and I can delay the brakes if u want me to.!!!
  18. is there anything else? lol  why did most N15 pulsars need a new set of rings? Why did most X3 Excels need pop rivets in the front chassis rails? Why do the new Prado's need a fuel pulsation dampner? Why do Hilux's need a new spare wheel retaining chain? I could quite easily keep on going....
  19. im a fordaholic. mrs ms700 just got a promotion, and I said unless it involves a ford company car dont bother! So now we have another ford in the driveway! brings the total to 10!
  20. I saw a red xr6 na down at ulladulla on the south coast, he had colour coded his grille red, and he (or she) had put mesh in where the intercooler is and that was red as well. Too much red for me! need a bit of black to break it up.
  21. yeah, I might wander up from canberra and have a nosey around. Anyone else interested in a convoy perhaps? Falcoon, you know u want to!!!!!

    Ba Xt

Life with a turbo? More expensive insurance, always stressing where you park it, rice boys always wanting to drag you.... However, being involved with fordxr6turbo.com cruises (one of the coolest experiences ive ever been involved in), the incredible accelleration and tuning potential, modifying your chariot to be even better than what is was when it left the factory, I dont think id have it any other way. My 1 1/2 cents worth. (my opinion isnt worth 2 cents, especially after tax!)
  23. I was thinking about a greddy boost gauge in near where the "tissue box holder" is. im a big fan of digital boost gauges! I dont think they are real cheap though!
