I agree that the gtp should be more powerful than gt, but I dont think the gtho name should be re-released unless it is something really special. The best way to ruin the mighty GTHO name? release something with the same name, but make it softer. will anything ever match the shaker?

this number may not be correct, the cataloging for the BA has been real dodgy lately... BA 9G438 A = $3303.91 retail. and just for interests sake... intercooler BAT 6K775 A = $1154.12 retail. I can order u one now if u want......... he he Cheap as chips!

I will ask my fella that I am purchasing the brakes from, he may know somewhere cheaper. I dont think you can buy directly off him though, he is tied into a contract with ford. Wont hurt to ask!

Mondie, they havent listed the BA Brembo brake pads as yet, but the AU ones are $1156.00 retail!!! Enjoy not using the brakes! he he :lol:

MS, Is this for a pair of Brembo pads through Ford, or is it for a full set Websites l have seen in the US selling Brembo stuff are much cheaper than that! not 100% certain champ, but im almost sure that price is for the front only! u will always get cheaper parts from the supplier themselves, ford always whack on a bit more for good measure. I will double check prices tomorrow for ya, but I know AU brembo's pads were around the 800 - 1000 beer ticket level! I think they are a different pad compound to the AU, hopefully the price will be different too! :lol:

I am more concerned about the area at the base of the rear windscreen when u open up the boot. in between the rubber and the edge of the qtr panel. More water in there than Scrivener dam!

My AP Racing calipers are a 6 piston directional caliper, not sure exactly on dimensions, but they are huge. I bought them from a company just outside ACT, not entirely sure if they sell direct to the public. They costed me $2100 for 2! but they are nothing short of fantastic. Extremely well made, and very light. Pads are only $330, where the brembo pads are near $1000. I havent fitted them as yet, have to save up some more money so I can buy the 2 piece rotors!! Was quoted $5800 to completely do the front end in AP racing. This includes fixtures, fluid, hoses, the works. Hope this helps.

yeah, no probs. at this stage, you cant buy the "complete" air cleaner assy, you have to buy all the individual parts and construct it yourself. from memory, it wasnt all that expensive. the most expensive bit I think was the air filter itself!!!! I will post part #'s, descriptions, and prices tomorrow.

hey mondie! something strange is happening with the brembo's, havent quite figured it out yet. R/H front caliper is priced at $1400 list, L/H front caliper is $440 list! R/H is available, L/H is on sales stop! I have purchased some AP Racing calipers for the front, still debating what to do...... By the time I put ap racing all round the car, I could probably buy a new XT! :lol:

I think toyota make a universal 2 head parking sensor kit. you could always get the sensors painted so they blend in a little better. Hope this helps.

It seems ford have "relaxed" the rule about ordering bits for GT's when u dont have a GT!!! I ordered my GT pedals today!!!! will have them hopefully on wednesday!!! they werent cheap though! I didnt look at retail, but I think maybe at least 200 beer tickets! u get both, accellerator and brake (I didnt look at manual) can get part #'s and prices if anybody is still interested.

I ordered my XR8 air cleaner today, will have it by wednesday, just not entirely sure about the tube from the metal turbo intake pipe to the new air cleaner. will see what I have to do when I get it installed wednesday nite. I want it to look as factory as possible.

WRONG! The XR8/GT air filter box is completely different to the standard I6 and T one. It can be made to fit by getting another piece of elephant tube from the I6 and an adapter and fitting it to the XR8 airbox diuct and joining it to the standard duct on the T or I6. It fits nice and from all accounts adds about 5rwkw! hope that helps! harasn, next time you are talking to FCSD, tell them to update the listing. in the latest TradeCat, it only lists 1 filter for 6cyl and 8cyl engines...... the one I have was printed May 03. Nothing is listed at all for XR's.

the xr8 and the xr6 have identical filters.

yeah I agree harasn, they all seem to need time to "dry" . I never take my car for a drive after I treat the tyres. leave it as long as I can.

couldnt have said it better myself! I have waxed mine probably 6 times since I have had it (december), and it looks perfect. I was a panel beater, so I consider myself to be the fussiest of the fussiest. there was 1 tiny blemish in the pass door frame, ford offered to refinish the door for me, but I declined because I wanted the car to be the same colour all over. have not seen any with the patchy paint. just look after it, wash it and polish it whenever u get the chance, and im sure it will repay you in the later years.... any colour will look super if you maintain it properly.

maybe something to keep in mind.... my 19's cost me $3700. I know that they arent factory ford, and I dont have a 19in as a spare, but that was my main reason to not option the 18's. I knew I was going to put 19's on shortly after I bought it. and as soon as I see a 20in that I like, ill upgrade again. just trying to let u know of all possible options. I hate finding out about something too late!!! And as adam sandler would say..."that information would have been much more usefull to me YESTERDAY!!!" :lol:
