  1. Good stuff! Looks impressive! They look good when the car is in motion, all you can see is the caliper. Ive got lots of thumbs up from my setup while ive been driving, im sure you will too!
  2. One main reason, Miss ms700 gets the AU along with a fuel card as part of her salary package, so we would rather use her company's fuel than our own! Even though it will only save 100 beer tokens or so, Id rather spend that cash on beer than fuel!!! Guess its my shout down Melbourne then!
  3. A HSV dealership without a HSV? Pub without beer? Our local HSV dealer always has something HSV in its window..... Not that I care greatly!

    Gt-p Gets Spanked

Also, the auto will be on full boost throught the gear changes, unless you can flat change a manual, the auto "should" be quicker. The throttle body will be open 100% of the time in a auto, therefore keeping the turbo, and intake manifold fully boosted. In a manual, unless you flat change, the throttle body will be opening and shutting a little during gear changes, therefore slowing the turbo down, and boost levels wont be at 100% all the time. All of this goes out the window with N/A cars..... cause there is no boost! Hope this all makes sense!!
  5. As im bringing the AU wagon along again, would it be a good idea for me to bring spare wheels, tools and consumables along like I did on the Coast cruise? Or is it all a bit of a waste of space? What do you reckon?

    Warranty

So do you have to take your car back to Brad Garlick every time a warranty issue came up? Id say so, because no other dealer is going to touch it! ESPECIALLY if its chip or cold air related.
  7. The Red Lightning at GFITC is a personal import, and it is worth around $120k. I would like to think Ford Australia are importing these, but I doubt it.

    Indy !

Yeah, whatever..... Keep a eye out for saleen1, he is making the trek up there as well. You bastards!
  9. *mick rings up virginblue to book a plane ticket*
  10. Touring cars havent always used front demisters. I think it became mandatory after Bathurst one year in the rain, when all the cars were fogging up badly. Ever since then (I think it was the round when the Eggenberger sierra's won then lost) all tourers have had to use them.
  11. Good stuff 56, I am certainly interested in how much power you have and how you achieved it! Just keep a close eye on things, and everything should be sweet. Keep us posted for any future mods if they happen!
  12. HEY!!! lets get one thing straight here OK! I dont own a AU wagon, its Miss ms700's company car.... :o All the other rumours however...
  13. So Falchoon, now youve seen VG, please tell us all if he looks anything like his photo, sorry avatar!??? ive been wondering for a while now.....
  14. So 56, you have fitted the XR8 air cleaner assembly as well? I was starting to think my dyno figures were a little optimistic but now I am starting to wonder...... Did you fit the K&N filter into the XR8 assembly or put the XR6T assembly back on?
  15. My turbo spat out 216 rwkw after I modified my intake. But I think my dyno reads a little otimistic after it goes over 200 rwhp. Off topic slightly, im just about to install a stroked, injected, supercharged, intercooled, Yates headed clevo into my XC which I am hoping for around 600 at the wheels...... hard to tell exactly, as nobody has supercharged a Yates headed clevo that I know of.
  16. Zeke, please dont take this the wrong way, but why do the tailpipe mufflers for the XR8 have a different part number to the XR6T then? If they are the same, they should have identical part numbers then? If they actually are the same, it would be yet another catalugue error for Microcat interpreter users, which wouldnt suprise me.... and people wonder why spare parts can be so frustrating!!!!
  17. Wez has nailed it. When you see a brand new XR8 exhaust, compared to a brand new XR6T exhaust, the 8 has a kinda chrome divider strip in the middle just like the 1st photo. After a little driving though, the tips would look the same!!! Careful Cro and RJS, it seems according to Microcat, the rear mufflers are different from a XR6T to a XR8. According to Microcat that is......... not always 100% accurate. I can do a little more research into it if you like. Maybe you have stumbled across a new mod.....
  18. Drakeford Drive? Tuggeranong? Wouldnt bother too much coming down here, that's near where I live, aint many commodores left still willing to have a go!!!! Few Rex's though......
  19. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR exactly what he said........
  20. Also, what colour is DynoSteve's car? Mercury Silver. What colour was the APS car that Motor mag tested 2 issues ago? Mercury Silver. When you look in the Ford Accessory brochure, what colour is the first car you see? Mercury Silver. Gee, I see a trend developing here........
  21. Think of something new to say! The old Merc silver joke is well past its use by date. I think Toyota Australia started losing it after they axed the Turbo 4WD Celica's..... Toyota Japan are going great guns over there.....
  22. Hey hey careful what you say there Cro, I work in Mitchell!!!
  23. Cassius, I was chatting to NT-TURBO in relation to this, and I am almost definite to put into Police mode it has to be done at the dealer using the diagnostic computer. Earlier in the tread just caliblates the speedo, it doesnt convert it into digital readout permanently. I am not 100% sure about this......
  24. Is that the Turbo with the modified AU station wagon body??? that's fooly shick bro!!!!! :D mmmm, you just gave me a good idea...... siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!
