From what I can gather from our sales dept, they only get a certain "allocation" of T's each month. They all know that they can sell a T at virtually full retail, because if you are not willing to pay full retail, chances are the next bloke that walks through the door is. There is no point saying you are willing to wait for the right colour/trim combo, id say you will be waiting a fair while anyway! Good luck. Id say you'll need it!

The stripes are stupidly expensive for what they are! Front bar stripes retail in at $183.29!!! :o Go the Plonky route and go to your local signwriter, he can rig some up for you at a fraction of the price. I personally dont think GT stripes would look much good on a XR6T. But it's your car, personalise it as much as you like! that's what its all about! :o

30k doesnt buy the cars I want! Id rather purchase a nice Lewis Moomba ski boat with a injected Mercruiser 350 on board! 30k would just scrape by. Something nice to be towed by the T.

Well myself and Rob (Saleen1) decided to go for a bit of a drive afterwards. We drove and drove, for what seemed like a eternity (!) ,filled up the tanks a couple of times, and decided to take some photo's of where we ended up!

Sure can! Depends on what colour you want, either stone or warm charcoal (most XR's are warm charcoal) Retails in for $117.55! And I dont believe the wiring is there so you can just plug it in and off you go....

Yeah, right! All I was trying to do was make the blueprint look as good as HgAg, but after a while I realised I was just wasting my time! No amount of cleaning and polishing will ever make Blueprint look as good as HgAg! :lol: There's only so much you can do.....

When the impeller blades rub on the housing you will hear it, it makes a real high pitched whine/squeal. I imagine this noise would be consistant with how fast the impeller is spinning ie how much boost is being created. My old Powerdine blower seized a bearing, and the end result was the impeller rubbed on the housing, sounded awful, and also sent very tiny fragments of metal into the motor! not good!

Nope, no genuine bug screen for the BA, and considering there was never one made for the AU, I doubt they ever will. Looks like you will have to stick with the home-made one!

The transmission cooler line problem had popped up a few times at our dealership, and to some good friends of mine too! Amazes me how they all get through the final check at broadmeadows.

Just wondering what it smeels like, a ex-mate of mine transplanted a FJ20DET into a gemini, ran it on PULP with no cat, and it smelt kinda "sweetish" when it was on the dyno and when I was following it.

Please dont get me wrong, I work in spare parts, and I certainly dont have money to burn!!! But in my books there is no such thing as overkill in the braking department. 10k is a hell of a lot of cash, but it was split up over a fair while. Saved up, got the fronts done, saved up some more, got the rears done! And the end result is nothing short of fantastic.

I have a full cat back BA XR8 exhaust at home, the centre muffler section is exactly the same as a turbo's! According to my part listings, the XR8 exhaust and a normal 5.4 have different systems. that's not to say a bit of creativity it wouldnt go though!!!!

Got to drive my bus today, whoa nellie, the things stops now!!! Mind you, it would want to after spending nearly 10k on the braking system! :lol: But you get what you pay for, and oh my lordy, these brakes are fantastic. Here is a picture of the brakes fitted to the rear end. I will take more when I remove the wheels.
