  1. 3 points to our lucky winner! It is a oil filter that suits virtually all 6 cyl Falcons ever made, and some early V8's as well. Not the new V8's though, they stop using AFL1's on V8's when Ford released the 220kw 5.0 Windsor's and some of the T series dont use AFL1's as well. There we go, you can all sleep better better tonight knowing that!
  2. You'd be suprised how many we still use! Most AU's (6 cyl) still use them, all BA 6 cyl use them, a few Exploders (explorer!) use them, some others I cant think of right now...... FYI last time I checked we had about 1350 AFL1's in stock! Sell about 800 a month.
  3. Falchoon, im up for some of that action. Unfortunately I am bringing the AU wagon, because im bringing the BBQ!! so I wont be going near as hard as I did on the last coast cruise..... Me and Kirsty did that drive on Sunday, in the pouring rain, was really good. Didnt seem to take that long either.
  4. I totally agree with Scotty here. I am currently polishing one of these crossover pipes up, and I can tell you, that black crinkle paint stuff is a utter *beep* to remove!
  5. Matey, sometimes I think its a friggin miracle we carry AFL1's in stock!
  6. who are you insured by? have they jacked your insurance up at all for the mods you have? Funny you should ask! I got my renewal yesterday from NRMA ( :o ), my insurance has gone up by $110, but the agreed value has increased, more than what I had it insured for originally! When I first got the car, the agreed was $52600, now it is $53444! I would have thought the agreed value decreases each year. When I notified NRMA about my mods, they said the wheels and brakes are fine, as long as they are legal and fully engineered. that's what they said...... good thing I recorded the phone call!

    The Big Lap!

Probably a bit late to be saying this now, but those tyres are faulty, take it up with your "local" Ford dealer, he will replace all four tyres for free regardless of wear. If you see any of them cracking on the sidewalls, all 4 will be replaced. Sorry, I should have read these posts earlier!
  9. And this is the same guy that couldnt work out how to plug his DVD player in.........
  10. I am currently in the middle of getting ALL the mods on my T (including the brakes) engineered. Not a cheap exercise, costing me $550, and a fair bit of time on the dragstrip performing braking tests. But I am sure it will be all worth it in the end!
  11. Sure do! I believe there is a K&N element available, but I havent looked around. I only heard through other sources that K&N do one. I am quite happy with the factory element, it seems to flow ok!

    Wanted For Wedding

Mmmm, ive got a HgAg, already done one wedding, got another to do on the 20th December, and another to do in March! And I do recall all Taxi's in the ACT being WHITE! If you would like to push yourself up the status ladder (up near the top), I will be happy to drive! But, hey, if you want to be boring and just like everyone else here, im sure there are some blueprint XR's sitting around...... :sleepgrey:

    Dickson, Act

I called VG and his mates straight away after I worked out what had happened. I got a good look at him, he went and got a coffee from the coffe shop before he went on his little "rampage", so the dude from the coffee shop got a excellent description of him as well. The magna he was driving was probably stolen.......
  15. Just like my runabout XF! You "fold" the number plate frame down, unscrew the petrol cap, put it in its little "spot", and the frame stays down while you fill her up! Genious, pure genious! what will they think of next!

    Dickson, Act

I am (un)fortunate enough to have a second job in Dickson here in sunny ACT, and there was a little "spate" of cars being broken into around the Dickson Shops yesterday. My sisters KH laser had its stereo knocked off as well as some 20 CD's, and the local coffee shop owner had his laser broken into on the same day as well. I saw the guy that did it, was driving a green TN Magna with a purple front bar and valance panel. Rego was YRA 604 I think. It didnt occur to me what he was actually doing until he drove off probably a good thing he would have two broken legs by now! WARNING TO ALL dont leave your car unattended in Dickson AT ALL this bloke didnt care who was watching or who was walking past, he just jumped in and started ripping. I'll find you. I know what you look like. And your next breath will be your last. :reallymad: :angryfire:
  17. Betcha that zoom button is getting a fair workout! And I reckon something else might be getting a workout too!!!!
  18. I saw two Territory's on the Hume Hwy today just outside of Goulburn, they were Blood Orange and HgAg! Looked real good on the road, all swmbo said after that was "I want one, I want one!"
  19. Yep, totally agree with Vik. I am a big fan of the Herrod seats, maybe if you havent got leather give them a call? Im sure Rob will help you out.
  20. It is extremely tempting, but like you say, there are so many to choose from now, where do you go? Or more to the point, who do you trust? There is a lot on the line!
  21. Im not getting into a discussion about prices here, I could qoute what we would sell a long motor for, but I might get into a little trouble, and that is not what I really want! Trade is $4626.22, if you can get it cheaper, more beer for you! But I can tell you, a long motor would not come with a turbocharger, and if it did, it would be the first Ive ever seen. Ditto for intake and exhaust manifolds, alternator, flywheel, p/s pump, pipes etc. Sometimes they come with a water pump just to close the motor up.
  22. Al, nothing is impossible! You always could buy the Fairmont armrest swab and trim and do the conversion. Depends how bad you want the centre armrest!
  23. Alrighty then! You will need to buy all the components separately, for example the foam base, the foam back, the bottom trim piece, the back trim piece, the new headrest and its trim as well!!! Bit of fart a$$ing around, maybe get a motor trimmer to do the change over for you. Anyhow, trade price for those 6 bits weighs in at $947.45 per side. From what I can tell, that is all you need to do the changeover. However, ive been wrong in the past! If there is anything else, I dont think it would be major or costly. PLEASE NOTE I am not sure about the side airbag jobbies. Not sure if you need them to sucessfully assemble them. From what I can tell, you dont need a VIN to order these parts. Hope this helps! Any other questions, just let me know.
  24. This is oh so true! Power output is like Pringles, once you pop, you cant stop! give me more, give me mooooooore..........
