  1. Mmmm, do we trust these "sketchy directions" or not? This, coming from a "supposed mate" who is planning to knock off all my wheels and brakes as well? Sounds like a wild goose chase to me.......
  2. Looks like I might have to give my email address to John!
  3. that's a great shot of your car Mondie, looks super! Please stop posting pictures of any more GT's, you are making life very hard for me!
  4. Doesnt take much, a simple thread about the cost and availability of GT pedals turns into the old "manual is better than auto cr@p" that everybody has heard before. And quite frankly, is sick of as well.
  5. Yeah, I thought about silicone, but unfortunately I dont think there is enough space on the grille for the silicone to get enough "bite" and hang on to the grille properly. Still searching for alternatives..... ps no, no news for the squealing brakes on the premiums yet, as soon as I hear, ill post. Other members on the forum will probably hear about it before I will!
  6. Dont remember saying "the auto has a big pedal so no aftermarket will be found" just said you will have a lot of trouble... doesnt matter anyway, I drive a auto, so in your masterful eyes it must be just a matchbox car.
  7. Happy Birthday! have a good one, all the best!
  8. 3000klm? Soft! Mine was replaced I think from memory around 1000klm's old. Mine wasnt clunk, it was a whine. And no, there wasnt any whine in the boot!
  9. Have Pm'd you in relation to this. Let me know!
  10. Anyway........ At this point in time I am bringing the wagon with BBQ in tow. Is this what we have all agreed on or not? Just want to clear everything up as soon as we can, after all its only 2 weeks away! Its either go fill the gas bottle up, or start cleaning the T! What will it be peoples?
  11. Ummm, doubt it! Have you seen the size of the brake pedal on the Auto? It is signifigantly biiger than the average brake pedal. The FPV pedal set is extremely high quality, and legal too.
  12. I am working on a "plain grille" in our panel shop at the moment. Believe it or not, I am using a lower grille out of a 3dr Echo! It comes sooo close to fitting it aint funny. It is made out of plastic, and the style nearly matches the grille on the T's. So far it looks ok, my only problem so far is securing it. Hopefully I might have a pic next week.
  13. Be careful, Toluene absorbs water. Make sure the cap on the drum is on properly and sealed. This is what I was told last time I bought a 20 ltr drum.

    Ferodo Pads

Big fella, I would put that down to a faulty pad, unless you were making those baby's glow at the track day! And if you were working them that hard to make them glow, I love your work I might have a talk to Nicholas for you, and have a chat to him, he deals with brakes for a living.
  15. Oh, you'll need my lock nut key too, I usually leave that with my jack in the boot. hey, hang on a minute here........

    Is It Rice?

If it hasn't got a inboard and you can't waterski behind it, its just a waste of space on water.....
  17. As a rule, lock nuts dont come with the car, but you will find the majority of dealers will put them on as soon as the car is delivered from the Melbourne factory. The XR 17in wheel is very "hot" at the moment, we have had 4 or 5 sets go walking..... Not sure about the unlocker! All the ones I have had through spares have been different, but I guess there would have to be a few sets identical somewhere out there.....
  18. This thread has been done before......... AUTO GT PEDAL KIT TRADE PRICE = $244.48 FOR BOTH PEDALS! MANUAL GT PEDAL KIT TRADE = $341.69 FOR ALL 3 PEDALS! I highly recommend them too! I suggest you tell your dealer to and go somewhere else who knows what they are talking about.
  19. I have two intake pipes for two very good reasons. One is so the pipe can actually reach the XR8 airbox (there is NO WAY the original single piece of piping would stretch out that far, the XR8 airbox sits further away than the original XR6 airbox), and two is so the pipework still looks factory. I could have got some 3in mandrel aluminium welded up but it wouldnt look factory. The two intake pipes are joined together using a short piece of 3in aluminium pipe.

    Newie....

Ken, youre a dead set machine! It only took you 3 minutes to post a reply to the newbie! Im impressed!
  21. Lemme get this right, Rip Every Poor Cu*t Off want $180 for a K&N panel filter to suit a XR6T? Or is that price for the cylindrical filter for a XR8?
  22. I didnt know there was two Ford dealers in Mitchell...... Oh I get it, youre talking about me! Me? Shifty? How did you find out?
  23. They arent that good! You'll see them and just go "jeez, I wish I opted for the BBQ instead!"
  24. I want to bring the BBQ because it eliminates another problem we may encounter, finding a BBQ that we can actually use! We can stop virtually anywhere this way, and cook up a storm (BTW im not cooking!), and not worry about having to find wood and firelighters and smoke and all that stuff I hate about outdoor BBQ's.... Hey it up to you's! I will just do what the crowd wants me to do!
