  1. I saw a Blood Orange XR8 in civic last night, he had the black GT stripes fitted, didnt look too bad, but as I drove up a bit further I saw a Blood Orange GT with the stripes fitted too! The stripes just "didnt look in place" without the big rear wing and the GT bumpers and wheels. I wouldnt do it personally, I couldnt handle the embarassment if a GT pulled up next to me and I had identical stripes to him! I know what Id be thinking if I was the one driving the GT!
  2. Burn that midnight oil! 19's look good on the T's, but you gotta lower the bus! Or you might have to change your name to "Mr 4WD"
  3. From what ive heard, the only thing you need to buy is a factory that repairs wheels!
  4. Harsh call Ross, harsh but fair! Good work!

    Ask Ponch

Not sure if this has been asked, but ill fire away anyway... In regards to what I call "pedestrian crossings", the things on the road with the zebra stripes and the signs of the legs walking.... Do cyclists have to dismount for these? Every cyclist around here just zooms across them, and they wonder why we nearly collect them! I am sure they have to dismount, but some clarification would be super.
  6. Common as @ssholes. Not quite as common as brake shudder though!
  7. What I suggest you do is the following: Go and get a manual Go and get a auto Make sure both cars' engines were built by the same person to avoid any discrepancy. Make sure both cars have been run in identically to avoid any discrepancy. Make sure both cars have exactly the same amount of petrol and the same batch of petrol to avoid discrepancies. Make sure the dragstrip you go to has both lanes identical in all ways (grip, gradient etc) Run both cars down the strip at the same time to avoid any weather discrepancies. Make sure both drivers used exactly the same driving technique to avoid discrepancies. Make sure the manual gets a perfect start, and also make sure the auto gets a perfect start. Make sure both cars are changing gears at their optimum revs. As you can see, it is very hard to do! And in fact, if you do suceed with all the above, please post results!
  8. Thanks Ross! Im a little worried now, I was going to use that line this weekend, but now its used, I dont think I'll have any more comebacks ready! Might have to go into 'comeback training' and be prepared!!!!
  9. We have to leave early because us Silver car owners have to bring all the gear! Our cars will be so weighed down with BBQ's, food, drink...... You see, HgAg owners are responsible owners..... that's why we organise everything!
  10. Good work! the list grows slowly, that makes 6 ACT departers I believe?

  12. Days of thunder, when Harry is building the stock car.
  13. Isnt it Harry? "give you a bigger fuel line to hold a extra gallon of gas" "and shape you like a bullet" "get you primed, painted and weighed, and get you on that racetrack"

    Aps Phase I

*coughs bullsh!t* If every service manager has to do this Im friggin Santa Claus! I work at a dealership and have not heard anything like this. Sooo many rumours, so few london bridges to fall down.... I am not doubting your source of info Jamie, just the truth in it! Salesman...... Im sure FORDTECH will confirm my research.
  15. Falchoon is spot on. Gregory's at 10am. Also Falchoon is correct, 3 cars from ACT, very poor showing ACT members, pull your fingers out!!!
  16. Its like riding a moped Ross, you enjoy it while you have it, but you dont go bragging to your mates about it!
  17. Looks like it might be a good thing.... I'll stick to my black car bra methinks, easy to remove, and I dont have to stick anything to my paintwork. I think maybe 3M have been making a similar product for headlights etc for a while now?
  18. WHOA NELLIE!!! I got my initials plus a 3 digit number in white writing on a black plastic plate and it cost me $426.00. In the ACT. that's it! None of this "annual fee" cr@p. Mind you, personalised plates cost in the vicinity of 2k, but once you own them, that's it. No annual fees, nothing. ACT might be initially very expensive, but after a few years they become very cheap! Number plates that is!!!
  19. Nah, dont even bother, she wouldnt admit it!!! Bosses that apologise? In a all staff memo? Youre a good bloke Falc, but somehow I dont believe you!!!
  20. Not even a extra 100kw? To run 11's? *mick scrambles to find his bank managers phone number* Good stuff!
  21. Pfffft.... Trumpy, Ken, Myself..... mate we dont need anybody else. Get yourself a army buddy, you'll need it!
  22. Hmmm, lot of cash, I reckon it would look real good, but for the money, you could be in a shiny new blood orange GT!! Each to their own. I could be in a GT too if I didnt spend all that cash on my T!
  23. Great call! 18's? Pffffft, dont even cut the mustard! And while youre at it, do something about those puny 330mm brake rotors too!!!
  24. BTW Turbo6man> no you cant. Methinks if you got the t u r b o badging separately, the dealer you are dealing with is having a lend of you! You cannot buy the TURBO badge without the chrome XR6 portion, unless Ford has changed their packaging in the last 2 days, the last time I sold one, which I seriously doubt. The whole badge is worth around the $50 - $60 mark. XR6 + t u r b o
