  1. Kitty can you please keep this topic on track please. Thanks. I have emailed Wakefield Park twice, but I havent got a reply as yet. Does anybody actually "know" anybody down at Wakefield? I also will be contacting Ian Luff and Peter Findlay later on this week, now that the Nats are over I have some spare time!
  2. I will post some pictures later of some very tasty accessories me and Saleen1 saw at Summernats today! The tastiest of them all was at the Haltech stand. Genuine carbon fibre crossover pipe, intake pipe and intercooler pipes! mmmmmm carbon fibre...... Also on display was PWR's new front mount 'cooler that bolts in to ALL XR6T's without modification. Bolts up to the existing pipework. Looked real good! Around the $900 mark. Haltech are working on a piggyback system as well, due to be released in 6 weeks or so. Will post after the Nats finish, probably tomorrow night. Unless Rob beats me to it!
  3. Wouldnt worry about cooling too much guys, ive got a smaller water pump pulley on my blown XC, due to the blower pulley fouling on the stock one, and that thing runs fine in the temperature dept.
  4. Oh puleeeeze! Think of something new to say..... I believe I heard that one before, suprised you comedians havent used the old "police dont worry about hgag, they go too slow anyway" geez that's a funny one! Come back when you have something nice and original to say! that's if I have time to read your reply, I will be busy at the nats all weekend cruising around........
  5. Just asked a tech, he said the one above the filter is a oil temp sensor. The oil press sensor is further down the block, about the middle or so. PLEASE DONT SHOOT THE MESSENGER IF THIS IS WRONG!
  6. Ive got a really good idea, hear me out here..... Stick to the speed limits, make sure your car is nice and legal, dont drink in a public place, be friendly, dont do burnouts on a public street! Ive stuck to those rules for all Summernats, and I havent got booked yet! Simple really.
  7. Why mate, thinking of a change??? :banghead: Good one Matty!  :o
  8. Unfortunately due to the fact that the H/D gooseneck is so big and square, a hole like that will be needed so it fits through the bumper bar without fouling anything. There is no "neat and tidy" way of doing this. Im sure FORDTECH will agree with me here.... But if you are not happy, take it back. At the end of the day the customer is always right. :o

    Names

    super name that.....
  10. I also think Herrods do a twin spoiler kit as well? I remember seeing a photo of a red XR in here somewhere...... :o
  11. After our visit to the FPV factory, dont Ford test all their 260/290 motors? They have to meet certain specifications or else they are put in the "sick bay"..... Maybe two slipped through?
  12. Personally I wouldnt be powerdyne'ing it, you cant run a great deal of boost with powerdyne blowers. and id still say after the powerdyne conversion, there will still be a few turbo's blowing you away! There is always something faster around the corner......
  13. Underdrive pulleys, if I understand it all correctly, are smaller water pump, alternator etc pulleys that dont put as much "drag" on the motor, therefore allowing some more turning force to be used in actually driving the car instead of driving the accessories. I think....... im sure someone will correct me if im wrong. These underdrive pulleys are very popular over in the States on the import honda's and nissan's.
  14. Unfortunately I doubt it will be written off, once you take the bonnet off it wont look so bad. By the looks of things the rails will be fine, even if you had to replace a rail on one of these I doubt it would be written off. We had to put 2 rails on a brand new Statesman here at work, and the car wasnt written off....... unfortunately!
  15. Hopefully Dynosteve will bring down his HgAg XR6T sedan to level things up a bit!
  16. Are the paying car parks safe?? Ummm, I dont think anyone is safe. We had a unbelievable amount of stuff knocked off from our new car yard during last years Nats. And our yard is "patrolled"! Apparently..... My suggestion? Leave your car somewhere "safe" eg at a hotel, a mates house, even a servo maybe and catch a taxi. I know cars have been stolen from hotels and mates houses, but I am sure it would be more safer than at the Nats all day.
  17. Unfortunately it may happen, especially at Summernats. They will watch you park, follow you into EPIC to make sure that you are going to Summernats, and then they know they have a few hours to "go over" your car. Be afraid, be very afraid. :banghead: :( :(
  18. Well, last time I took my T for a decent drive the thing stalled! Dont really want to be stranded down on the GOR with a car that wont start...... I would love to take the T, but I also would love to have a trouble free trip as well....... :( :(
  19. Good work Krash, I like those M/T tyres on the back! :banghead:
  20. The thing is, you report the break in/vandalism to the police, and they dont have enough evidence to convict the little b@stards!
  21. And the black eye!  tooooo funny!
  22. Depends if you are drunk I guess...... Then you may not remember it all!
  23. I'd be taking the first turnoff to Queanbeyan, umm I think its Sutton Road? This road takes you to the back of Queanbeyan. From there you can go on to Fyshwick via the Airport road, or Jerra thru Qbn, then either Monash or O'malley whatever takes your fancy. The only problem with traffic atm is around EPIC and Northbourne avenue. If you can avoid this area completely, you will have no probs. The Feds and the vehicle inspectors usually set up a vehicle inspection station/RBT just outside Eagle Hawk every Summernats, this can create hold ups sometimes...... if you take the Sutton Road turnoff you will avoid all this! Hope this helps.
  24. Bit scared to take to T, might cut out on me again!
