  1. Drunk drivers. We currently have 2 wrecks in at work (brand new Pajero and a 2000 Liberty) that were crashed by drunk drivers. And guess what? Insurance wont cover them! Should have thought about that one before you started on your first schooner..... What does it take, for people to realise, that drink driving is bad?
  2. Had a panel shop ring me up last week enquiring about a full body shell, wonder if its the same car?
  3. The white sections of the scratch will polish out, leaving two nice big deep scratches that go down to the plastic. Will tidy it up a bit.... go get some touch up paint and it will look even better. To fix it properly, DONT get a second hand bumper. They never fit properly (trust me I was a panelbeater). A "good" panel beater will be able to fill and sand those deep scratches, and respray the bar for you. All these people scratching and hurting their T's, its enough to make a grown man cry......
  4. that intercooler could be hot property. Scotty Mate if this car ain't gonna behave on Monday it will be $650 still in the box (you pay freight) and I will drown my sorrows with the $650 PM ME FIRST!!!!!!
  5. $875 delivered. Nice piece of gear bolts straight in, inlet and outlet are both on R.h side so you also lose about 80cm of hose. I got a photo of this bit of sexual gear at Summernats, will post up later tonight! Looks very nice and well built. Definately worth the 875 clams. Hypnodoc, have you installed the cooler yet?
  6. Good spraypainter would be able to fix all those minor "blemishes". You'd be suprised what they can buff out!!!
  7. Nope, no K&N for me. Might look at it in the next few months. Will certainly be dyno testing it if we do!
  8. Excellent smithers, eeeeeeeexxcellent!
  9. I dyno'd my car before and after I changed over air filter assemblies, and I can tell you, it is all that! I picked up more than 15hp, and my car's filtration system hasnt been compromised.
  10. BCL's car is running 334kw at the wheels right now, that equates to 443 hp at the wheels, and id happily let my mum drive it. This car is easy to drive, yet has unbelievable pull when asked. And it has no "bad habits". Im sure with the way Brian (and everybody else) is going, his car will be making a lot more horsepower in the near future, and will be fully street driven. Technology has changed. Gone are the days when you had angry V8's grumbling around on the street being absolute cops to drive. Turbo's and blowers have made cars extremely streetable, but having mind blowing torque when required.

    Help

Am I right in saying the chip is only as good as the installer and the tuner?

    The Showdown!

Cash for comments? In the media? Dont believe you!
  13. Ive done it on my T, took me about 1 hour tops. And that was taking my time to ensure it was done properly.
  14. Me? Picky? naaaaaa must have me confused with somebody else.... I will purchase a 10psi in auto configuration please! Is it here yet?
  15. My dyno dude had the same problem, traced it back to the wiring to the startor motor! Was dodgy fitting or not done up tightly enough..... cant quite remember. Maybe have a quick look and wiggle the wires when it wont crank again?
  16. Peter, I am very interested in purchasing a PHASE II setup, however I have already installed a XR8 air cleaner assembly, which I am extremely happy with. If I do go ahead with the purchase, will the installer of the PHASE II system insist on the removal of my XR8 air cleaner? Thank you for your time. Mick.
  17. that's a big colour variation! Would stick out like dogs balls methinks......
  18. I slowly want to buy every single modle that is based on the BA falcon. Race cars, utes, sedans, the lot! I shouldnt have started, because now I know I wont be able to stop until my collection is complete. And then Ford go release some more colours!!!! They make it very difficult! (and expensive!)
  19. We had a crashed XR8 at work recently, it needed a new rail and skirt. What we were told is this: The customer (not the dealer or the repairer) is to Ring 13 FORD, and Ford will send out a letter of compliance. ONCE AGAIN, DONT SHOOT THE MESSENGER! THIS IS WHAT I WAS TOLD.
  20. must resist.........too many jokes.........hard to resist paying out Ross.........must try and be nice
  21. We do the 100 ser Landcruisers here at work, they would be a good buy I reckon. You cant really thrash a S.A.R car (although im sure the feds would find a way!), they get them equipped with winches, air lockers, upgraded Old Man Emu suspension, and maybe roof racks? These would be rare as rocking horse id say. :( Not many in the ACT.
  22. And if you copy them, I'll kill ya!
  23. Bench racing? Drinking beer? Nup, sorry, count me out, dont believe in it. Never done it, never will.
  24. Hehe reminds me of the first time the mech's did a Momo knob at work! It simply screws off. The boys usually wrap the existing gear knob in good rags and use some Vise grips. It is on extremely tight (as you have already found). Sombody else might have a ingenious way of removing them.............
