Both myself and kirsty had a really good time!! It was very well planned, and went off without a hitch. Great driving! Was good to put some more names to faces, and we look forward to the next cruise. Well done everybody and especially MISSXR! Cheers! Mick and Kirsty!
If you want to use my computer big fella, youre welcome! Even though is fast-as dial up! Let me know when youre settled and ill come around for a brown lemonade
I enquired about cross drilled rotors (same as the Carrera Cup Porsche's) when I was buying my AP rotors, and the brake dude said that the cross drilled rotors develop hairline cracks froom the holes in the Porsche's. And after he said that, I havent seen any V8 Supercar rotors that are cross drilled? Or WRC cars for that matter? Could be wrong. So I am using slotted only.
My dyno mate owns a auto XR6T, and he tows his boat (competition 8ltr), he has put airbags in the rear suspension to assist with the load, and he reckons its the best car he has EVER used for towing. He uses the H/D towbar with the square box hitch. He said some people get a tad annoyed when he drags them off at the lights towing his boat!
The sump bolt has a rubber "collar" going around it, this rubber collar acts as the sump plug washer. The XR6's do not use a sump plug washer as such. :tosser:
The addition of hotdogs will also keep you legal. If you remove a muffler and put straight thru pipes on, the mod is defectable (I remember plonky saying this somewhere). However, if you put 1 or more hotdogs on in place of the factory muffler, it stays all nice and legal.
Yep, wipes for me. Saw that leather cream stuff on the shelf, so glad I didnt purchase that stuff as well! Wipes are good. Just make sure you do the entire seat, cause if you miss wiping any of the seat, it sticks out like the proverbial.
Matty I noticed this noise when I fitted a boost and blower gauge in my XC, I am using Automoter gauges. Im not overly worried about it. Just hope its the same noise!
Ummmm, there not that much! Im not at work at the moment, but I believe the rough price is around $1300? Painting would require about 400 clams. These are all guesstimates! Could be wrong!
I am very keen for the plug in module, as I always want the option to return my car to completely stock condition if the need ever arose. I would be happy with around tree fiddy kw's. (350kw for those "uneducated" ones  )
You may be able to use the front caliper on the back, but you wont be able to use the rotor. Ford's handbrake mechanism uses the inside of the rotor as a "drum" setup for the handbrake. Dont insist on price when it comes to brakes. I spent big bucks on my setup, and it by far and away the best coin I ever spent. The brakes were the worst thing about my car, now they are the best.
I know its difficult, but if you could give as much notice as possible it would be much appreciated! I would like very much to travel down to Calder and see how it all goes. Considering us Canberrans dont have a drag strip.... :banghead:
Has anybody seen Dynosteve gauge pod? He only charges $120 to us forum members, and a AutoMeter boost gauge is only $150 from Autobarn. And you can get a pod that holds 2 gauges at no extra charge, whack a oil press or oil temp gauge in there too! I would be very interested in seeing a picture of his mounting pod.
