    Quick?

I hope not! I was enjoying this thread!
  5. I doubt it would be the airbag wire. If it was, your airbag warning light would be on constantly.
  6. Myself and Cro are doing the wedding, and cruising up to Jindy afterwards.......
  7. Thanks White Beast, will definately keep you in mind.
  8. Hi all Merc Silver XR Owners!! We require either a XR6, XR6T or XR8 in Merc Siler for a wedding run this Saturday 13th at 3:00 in the ACT. I already have 2 XR6T's organised, and 1 XR6NA organised, but the lead bridal car, a SS commodore, was involved in, shall we say, a "altercation" on the weekend, so we now need a replacement! If you can help out, or if anybody knows of a Merc Silver that can help out, please reply below. Thanks!

    G220

No we're not getting jealous, just sensible. The G220 uses a different trans than the XR8, so id say as soon as you get your 260kw, then you go supercharge it, the trans will let go rather quickly......
  10. Would you be better off using a larger diameter rotor, and a single calliper, or sticking with what most Jap sport bikes use already; twin rotors and callipers on the front wheel?

    G220

260KW? neways, id say your warranty will be void next week as well!

    Quick?

I was throwing dice in the alley officer rtyzon comes up to me and says hey I thought I told you rex's are quicker and I was like WHATEVER"
  13. On the flipside of the coin: If nobody was willing to spend mega bucks on engine modifications we wouldn't have such people and famous cars such as: Gary Myers and THAT mustang, Eddy Tassone with a TT VH making over 1000hp at the wheels, Rob Vickery in a TT VR (I think) making lots of power too, A certain XR6T running 307kph, im sure that costed a bit more than a Phase III or Phase IV......, If nobody was willing to go all out and spend stupid amounts of money, the car performance game would be very boring indeed....... Horse Power Heroes wouldnt even exist. If you want to put a BA XR6T motor in a EF/EL/AU go for it! Just remember you'll need a lot more than 15K!!!

    Foxtel Digital

ESPN is good, heaps of motorsport, and live coverage of Super12's is good as well. I dont like the way that our bill mysteriously creeps up $1 every month or so, and they dont tell us why!
  15. Cizza. Here are some prices to give you a idea... these prices are Trade Turbo bare long motor = $4812.23 Turbocharger assy = $2956.86 Exhaust manifold = $809.93 Lwr Intake manifold = $331.71 Upr Intake manifold = $216.73 You will need some sort of ECU, whether it be aftermarket or genuine, and you will still need all the accessories as well eg; throttle body, turbo pipework, alternator, exhaust etc. As for fitment, I havent checked, but I dont see any reason why a BA DOHC wont fit in a AU engine bay. And I seriously doubt a used AU tranny will cope with the torque of a brand new BA T motor, especially after you mentioned you are a rev head, so you'll need a new trans too! BA Auto Trans = $6145.65. Which gives us a grand total in parts alone of $15273.11! You could scour the wrecking yards, Id say this will be your cheapest option, but I only know of 2 T's currently being dismantled. I wish you and your wallet the best of luck in your conversion!
  16. No no, not Cro, Falchoon! (aka Mr Crash)....... it wasnt his XR either. If you've got any training wheels lying around, I know a bloke who really really needs a set.....
  17. Brian (BCL) has a engine oil cooler installed on his shuttle, last time I saw it, it was mounted kinda near the lower firewall........ im sure he will be along shortly to clarify!
  18. Yeah, I should have remembered that you cant come up with anything original to say! Speaking of never driving your turbo mr crash, would you like to share with the Forum what happened to you on the night 4/3/04?
  19. I have heard about the wastegate actuator needing modifying or converting to a external unit altogether in anything over 10psi.
  20. Sorry Falchoon, you were saying? :o :o
  21. No offense taken! Like Ken said, Merc Silver looks real good after a tub, and looks even better after a wax. Keep her clean, and wax regulary, and she will repay you for many years to come.
  22. Yep, agree with Vik. The number system gets a tad confusing. Proof of serive invoices will definately work in your favour also. Hope you kept them! Even though all the servicing dealers keep copies, getting copies off that particular dealer could be a task......
