It would be extremely difficult peeling off all the old double sided tape off. Its just not worth it. You would be much better off buying brand new badges, getting them painted, and then binning your old badges and putting the newies on. I reckon it would be extremely difficult aligning the T U R B O badge up on the bootlid for a start....... You could also get the gold plating mob around to gold plate em? They can do it while the badges are still attached to the car. Not sure how durable the finish is, as ive never used em. Something to think about........

Kirsty drives my T occassionally, she is ultra worried about kerbing my 19's though! So am I to be honest! She usually only gets behind the wheel when Im in the passengers seat. I think she would be too nervous if she drove it herself, if somebody collided with her I reckon she would go nuts!

Reminds me of my panel beating days all this talk of setting cars on fire!! Was at TAFE welding a new 1/4 panel on a XF falcon, didnt worry about the carpet inside the boot, smoke starts coming out of the edges of bootlid after migging... open bootlid with extinguisher at ready.... blast....no more fire! After I put the XR8 air filter on my T, I registered 286 hp at the wheels. Now I dont know how accurate the dyno was (do you ever know?), also I am auto which should lower the final output too. Other than the XR8 filter, my car is stock as a rock.
