  1. I am very concerned about this problem. I encourage this behavior, and hope the ban never comes true. It will be a very sad day for all.....

    TERRITORY

I had a overnight test drive of a Ghia last night. Very impressed, but did miss the power of the T...... that's my only whinge. But Kirsty loves it, she doesnt need the grunt of a T, so id say we will be ordering it once a few problems are sorted out. The RWD we had was fitted with a third row seat, and they's have to be very small adults to comfortably fit in the back. It would be very uncomfortable on a long trip id say. But you can adjust the "second row" seats, which does give more leg room for the third row. Bear in mind, im 6 ft 2, and so is most of my family, so we arent exactly average. I was impressed, it drove very well, I had HEAPS of headroom which is rare for a bloke as big as me! Plenty of space, and cup holder city!
  3. Ripples under the door handles have been around since the days of the EF......
  4. This is very good advice, I hope everyone takes this on board. Nothin worse than having more than a few at your local, and the pub wasnt built on a flat surface..... standing upright is hard enough when youre pissed! And if the wench continues to nag, a quick backhand usually fixes that.
  5. Goos stuff! Glad to hear you are happy with the sound! Utes respond very well to a well installed aftermarket sound system.
  6. No, 4 days ago you were only wondering. It was confirmed definite after that. You should have edited your post!
  7. Doubt it! If it had a supercharger AND a unichip it would want to make a lot more than 270kw at the treads! 270 at the treads is naturally aspirated im sure you will find.
  8. You sure about that part number beaver? Dont get me wrong, but I am nearly 99% sure Ford still sell them. I sold one to a guy not long ago.... if they are gone, I could probably source you one through another dealer Ant.
  9. what he said....... I will look up the part number tomorrow Ant, but by reading your post I could be too late. Ford definately still sells the part you are talking about, we sell heaps to ex Taxi's. I'll SMS you when I get to work and let you know the part number and how much coin you will need. From memory it can be installed after your new wireless is whacked in!

    Canberra cop car

If I can remember correctly, its the initials of the main driver of the car or sumfing like that....... a attempt of a laugh from the boys in the Traffic branch!
  11. I know its important the whole legal thing, but sometimes it gets in the way too damn much.
  12. Good stuff! Once again, although I work form Ford, I read it here first!
  13. The intake hose clamps are not actually listed on Microcat......... You could try BA 9C632 A but im not sure if they will fit. The diameter looked similar in the picture, but I cant guarantee anything! Any Ford dealer should be able to help you out.
  14. As in the actual air cleaner element used in a XR8?
  15. Yes, that's the basic idea of the Battens adapter, it attaches on the side of your XR8 assembly. So you can use both the XR8 intake pipe and you existing XR6T intake pipe. Yuo do have to drill holes in the side of the round case, it is relatively straight forward though. Battens supply very good instructions.
  16. As I work in spare parts, I bought my XR8 assembly at dealer price. But I have "heard" ( )you can get them for around the $240 mark. This includes the genuine air filter. I put the Battens adapter on my XR8 box for around the $60 mark, then the BMC filter cost me a further $200. Am still not sure how much more the Battens/BMC mod did, we are dyno testing shortly. I personally recommend this mod, I have fitted it to numerous cars, and all of their owners are happy with the additional power and sound. Tockley, please dont feel embarassed or anything when it comes to asking questions. I personally enjoy answering these sorts of questions, and I certainly wouldnt know as much as I do now if it wasnt for people on this forum asking questions! You learn something every day, and ive learnt loads from this forum. People wont laugh at you if you ask too many. And they wont think any different of you either.
  17. Scotty please dont ruin this for everyone. Last time I checked you are not coming to this event, so it doesnt concern you, so if you havent got anything nice to say, dont say anything. Thank you.

    Series II XR6T

Doubt it Geea. If the rumours are true, the series II is mainly cosmetic changes, so most of the series I parts will be used by panel beaters and the like. See what happens I guess!
  20. Once again, those part numbers are not genuine parts. Those part numbers are Taiwanese part numbers. If they were GENUINE FORD PARTS, their part numbers would be something like AU2TVE13006....... NOT FEU4500NKL-1592. Do me a favour. Take your Australia NEW Genuine part number into your local Ford spare parts dept and ask what it is. Because unless they stock taiwanese aftermarket parts, that part number will be invalid on Ford's PANDA system. I do work for Ford spare parts remember......... Pffffft
  21. I just had a look at that ozeparts.com and they are not Genuine Ford parts, they are cheap Taiwanese copies. $302 plus GST will get you some Taiwanese lights, it certainly wont buy you the Ford genuine article. You get what you pay for. Taiwanese parts are very cost effective. Quality is absolutely terrible compared to the genuine part. But hey, its not my car, go fit what you want. And ill be the first to pass the fire extinguisher when the wiring on the taiwanese headlight catches fire......... and no, im not joking. Ive seen it.
  22. Do a search, there are gazillions of topics on lower front grills!

    Series II XR6T

September might be when the series II is coming out, but turbo series II wont be released then! If the delay on series I is anything to go by! Methinks you'll be waiting a tad past September for a series II BA Turbo!
