12.6! Good work big fella! I was going to come back that night, but as soon as I got to where I was staying, common sense told me to go to bed as I had to drive back to ACT today. Good to hear my technique doesnt just work for me! BTW, Rob left out a very important tip; 11) Once new GT wheel is fitted, go to nearest fridge and grab a beer, so you can sit back and admire newly fitted GT wheel. And laugh at Ford for charging $35. :lol:

There is only so far you can go with a "sleeper" until you give the game away. Keen enthusiasts will be able to spot a highly modified XR a mile off. Bigger front mount, bigger brakes, usually a bigger exhaust, all these mods are a indication to a modded XR.

Everytime ive dyno'd my T, the traction control light stays on, as does the ABS (the computer gets a tad confused with the back wheels spinning and the front ones hardly moving). Once you let it idle for a while and switch it off, the computer resets, and all is rosy.

Only a few intake mods, but once the XC is happy and back on the road, I may be winding up the wick substantially.....

I was wondering when this would happen. KW have been stradily increasing over the past 10 years (the VP Clubbie made a huge 185KW remember!), its only a matter of time before the govt puts the stops on. Just leaves the gate swingin for the aftermarket mobs!

There was a TSB released on the throttle body clean up on Friday. All they say is remove the intake pipes, spray some carby cleaner (or equivalent) into the throttle body and clean her up! Seems to be doing the job!

Im still a fan of all engine bits that stick out of the bonnet actually being connected to the engine! Like the shaker? But I guess we cant keep on living in the 70's........ have to update sometime.

I have fitted MANY sets of foglight protectors to XR's, they do fit, trust me. Unless your foglight is not sitting correctly ie ita already copped a hit from something and has become dislodged, 10 mins absolute tops.

Id be pushing a lot harder than you! My car arrived one morning, I drove it away that afternoon! If they want to, they can push it through quite easily. Unless you ticked all the dealer fit accessory boxes.
