I know its not a BA XR6T motor, but I thought some might be interested! :lol: As some of you are aware, I currently have a little ongoing project in my garage amongst others. Its a XC sedan. I am picking up the new motor for the car tomorrow, and I thought I might share some specs, and eventually some pics of both the car and the new engine. Specs; 351 Cleveland stroked to 378c.I Ford Motorsport "Yates" alloy heads, Crow roller rockers Vortech J Trim supercharger running 15psi boost Front mounted intercooler with 3.5in induction pipes Haltech E6S fuel injection system Custom Ross forged pistons, Eagle 6in Chev rods, Crow cam, Hi volume oil pump with 8 ltr Hi Energy oil pan etc I have had the supercharger running with the fuel injection on the "old" motor, and it ran beautifully. At only 4psi, the old motor made over 300hp at the wheels at 3000rpm. Stock as a rock. The old motor had over 200,000klms on the clock too! As most of you know, the faster you spin superchargers, the more pressure they make. We werent willing to spin it under full load over 3000 rpm for fear of destroying the old motor.... maybe we should have! The new motor has been built to spin to 6000rpm. The heads have already made 601hp n/a, untouched, ive ported them, and forcing 15psi into them. I am expecting some rather large numbers out of this thing, it has cost me well over 40 large, and the spending sure hasnt stopped yet! Will have pics tomorrow, will keep you all informed on how the installation travels. I know its not a BA, but its a Ford! Please have mercy! :lol:

Dont take this the wrong way, but with only 208rwkw after a Unichip, I'll take you on at the lights! Ive got close to that with just my air filter mods!

I spoke to Matt from Chiptorque today, and he said its definately in the pipeline.....

That isnt the only colour available - you can get a plain black with orange stitching if my memory serves me correctly.

Sounds like the car is over boosting and going into limp home mode. Mine's done it too. I turned ignition off, turned it back on, and all is rosy.

She was definately built for comfort and not speed.....

I have AP's all round and I love them! Cost me loads though!

Like Cro, I live in the ACT as well, and my radio reception is fine! No problems at all. cragin, I suggest going back to your dealer and getting it checked out.

Ive always been a big believer in using brands that "only" do certain products eg Alpine only make audio products, same with Clarion, MTX, Rockford etc. Poineer make tellies as well as car audio stuff, Kenwood make toasters as well as car audio etc. Ive always used Clarion head units, and G&S/MTX speakers/amps. I never had a failure while competing in IASCA using these products. As for Kenwood head units/stackers... My 2.2c worth.

Anything can be done if you have enough coin!! But in a word, no, you cant, without doing some major modifications to your dash pad.

I am officially picking it up on Saturday. I have a feeling Saturday will be a very good day........

there is no complications with it at all....All they do is re-flash the ecu and tell it it,s now a manual.... jeff The only other problem I can think of is maybe speedo? Is it electronic?

The "new" pads are heavily chamfered, so theoretically there wont be as much pad material surface area to have contact with the rotor........

Reminds me when I got busted driving my T unregistered the other day..... I put a trade plate on the T, because I needed to get some "warranty repairs" done before I re-registered it. It seems the Feds here have a new toy, it "scans" your number plate, and instantly tells the officer whether your car is registered or not! They thought they had me hook, line and sinker until they saw the trade plate hanging out the boot....... Sargeant wasnt happy.......
