  1. Its easy on the Clevo, I just use the spot where the old mechanical fuel pump used to go, the drain for the blower and the catch can both merge into one, and it works well. I will have a look tomorrow underneath a XR to see how hard it would really be to tap some sort of fitting in somewhere. It would be nice to have it draining automatically, rather than having to manually empty it every X amount of kays.... If you can get braided lines, with Earls screw on fittings, you can really get the catch cans looking good! Get a aluminium fabricator to make you a can, polish her up, run all the lines over to the can, with a nice K&N vent filter on top, the setup looks really good! Wish I could post pics of my setup! Not sure if the K&N vent filter bit will be legal though.....
  2. Most hi-po motors run one (my XC does), the only hassle I can see on the XR6 motor, is where are you going to have the oil drain back to? If you go the sump, you'll have to somehow make a fitting in the side of the sump for the drain tube to connect to, which means sump off to put the fitting on! Also, the sumps are all "ribbed", so finding a good spot for a drain back fitting wont be easy. If somebody has a better location for a drain for the catch can, please inform! Unless you just keep the can sealed at the bottom, with no drain back to the sump, and empty out the can once a week or so.

    DBA Rotors

Are there any pads that dont have heaps of brake dust??? this is very annoying especially if you have mags with chrome Nothing you can do about it. You should see the amont of dust that accumulates on my wheels from the AP Racing setup I have! Its incredible! One minute all nice and clean, trip down the shops, dust city! You just gotta clean them all the time.
  4. Where abouts exactly are you going to spray "FPV" on the rotor? Callipers I could probably understand, but rotors? Seems a lot of frigging around for not much effect. Whatever floats your boat.
  5. I use a good rag folded over a few times with my "Chook stick", a handy plastic rod that a lot of windscreen fitters and panel beaters use to get into tiny nooks and crannies.... I use this method when I am removing wax residue from around my door handle gaskets, badges, mouldings etc
  6. When's it all gonna stop? We keep on increasing the output of factory engine's, one day something has to happen...... remember phase IV? I hope the guvment dont put a cap on outputs, but I think its inevitable. While ever factories keep on upping the outputs, it all has to stop sometime, or else we'll be buying factory motors with more output than Top Fuel!
  7. Dont hold your breath for the Ford pricing on the T56, it will be months away..... Of course you will be able to buy it from your friendly Ford spare parts bloke, all you have to do is find a friendly Ford spare parts bloke!
  8. Of course it is.....why would you want primer paint  Gee, that's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo original! Come back when you can think of something...... BETTER!
  9. Diff gears as in BA? Or as in 9in? BA diff gears (crownwheel and pinion) arent all that expensive ie under 1K

  14. Here we go again.......
  15. The only info I have on the Typhoon coller is exactly the same you have! None! Wont know until the Typhoon is listed on Microcat so we can order a cooler and have a look at one. Everytime we do a Microcat update I look straight away at the intercooler section, so as soon as its listed, ill let everyone else know too. I have "heard" its 50% larger too, cant definately confirm or deny this one. Going by the cost of the current "small" coolers, which are incidentally around the $900 mark, you'd have to say the Typhoon job will cost about $1500?????? Im only guessing here, could be double that, could be half.....
  16. If this test does go ahead I can source a Typhoon intercooler easily enough. What about custom made cooers? I intend to have a good discussion with Neal Bates' head metal fabricator in relation to front mounts for XR's...... Would be nice to test his custom job out too!

    neon lights

I have Purple ones fitted to my XB, was leaving Summernats one night, was pulled into RTA inspections, managed to talk my way out of a defect, was given a very stern warning. But I have been defected before while I was STATIONARY in a carpark...... I was told amber, red or white are the only colours allowed.
  20. They make even more money from you, then laugh about it when they reject your first warranty claim? I just looked this up on fordworkshop.net, and Trumpy is right!
  21. Who would have thought 10 years ago Kodak would start closing down......... Its really sad. Good luck in whatever new venture you choose.
  22. Can companies, for example the one I work for, claim Internet usage on their tax? We cannot survive without the Internet, I use it for ordering a lot of stuff..... ...and maybe a bit of live streaming!
