  1. Is that one of Woden Plaza'a multi level carparks? Not that Id know or anything, Kirsty never drags me around shopping centre's mindlessly wandering through every single bloody shop five times trying on four thousand different tops and six thousand different pants and then deciding she wants to go to Belconnen and see if they have anything different over there.......
  2. Some things to keep in mind... When I bought my Alloy Yates heads for the Cleveland, I was told "yep, any 4v manifold will bolt up, and those extractors sitting over there will fit too" How wrong was he! The manifold (Active) didn't bolt up, we had to custom machine some riser plates, and mill them to suit.... And the extractors didn't bolt up, we had to make custom flanges for them as well! End of the day: If you do buy them, be prepared for some frigging around! No matter what the seller says!
  3. If everything goes well, I might have some more done to it by January....
  4. Jimmy Squire Amber Ale here too.... "nectar from the gods"
  5. Looking at buying a second-hand car the first thing I do is make sure it doesn't have a Expensive Daewoo badge on it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

    Xede Fitted.

Not worried a bit actually... Rob's driving is how do you say, SOFT. I had to pull over every 5 mins so he could catch up. When matty was driving it was a different story, I'm glad he remembers how to drive a real car :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And the main difference is.... Rob has a FULL licence, and Cro nearly has NO license! And after the week at QLD, Cro will probably be walking...... Id be real proud of that!
  9. Is this what you were looking for CraigGEEA <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Considering he was looking over a year ago, id say he's found it by now!
  10. Here are some things to think about in relation to superchargers, especially Vortech. As most of you know, I am currently building up the XC with a Vortech J trim supercharger, these J trim blowers can run up to a maximum of 28psi! Boost is adjustable using the ECU that I am using, we are bleeding off excess boost using a combination of one of the 3 blow off valves (Vortech Mondo) and a boost control solenoid. We have already used this combination very effectively, making a blower pumping 15psi only actually making as low as 4psi. I just bought the blower only off CAPA, I didnt buy a kit. Somehow, I dont think Tony makes a kit to suit a '78 Falcon somehow! And yes, the sound of a Vortech at full noise is something everyone should experience in their lifetime. As they make more noise they push you further and further into the seat...... and the thought starts entering your head "holy sh!t when is this thing gonna slow down!" If you are thinking about superchargers, please DO IT PROPERLY. Dont cut corners, to save some coin. It will only cost you even more down the track.
  11. Finally, Kirsty drove away, happy as larry today in her new Territory! Not before Mick did a few little mods to it of course..... Firstly, we painted the door handles, they leave the factory in the "cheap matt black", so we colour coded them the same colour as the car. Looks heaps better! And while we had the paint gun out, we also colour coded the "silver inserts" in the front and rear bumper bars. The silver bits just didn't look quite right, so we painted them the same colour as the car as well. And, finally, we installed a GT-P instrument cluster! Kirsty wasn't overly keen on the look of the standard Territory instrument cluster, and neither was I, so I fixed that problem good and proper! The cluster wasn't a simple bolt in, we had to change over the shroud, but other than that it was relatively straightforward. Looks fantastic! Specs (at this stage ) Silhouette, RWD, Ghia. And there is soooo much free space in the engine bay for a turbo too.......
  12. Whats the story here? :punchhead: 30K service? 500 beer tickets? Youre kidding me, right? Was that "injector plus" stuff liquid gold or something? For the service you got champ, that should have cost you NO MORE than $300. Foglight would have been about $90, protectors $30..... oil maybe $50 filter $10.... where's the rest gone? Social club?
  13. So it seems my predition of Cro was just about spot on! SOFT!

    Stock Turbo

Yeah I think you can pick a newie up, for around that sort of coin......
  15. Dont worry about Cro too much, he's a tad soft when it comes to a few things: burnouts, drinking...... Make sure you buy Cro a beer, but only one! Two and he'll be gooooone!

    Supersnake G.T. 500E

These guys were on Rides the other night on Discovery channel, they sure do make a great car!
  17. Looks good! Those 17's look great! Its not the ultra pricey ST170 is it?
  18. Sorry guys, this is a major hijack of this thread on my behalf, ill go and give myself a warning right now......
  19. Read the above post, and if you need any clarification, just ask......... I have no reason to make a story up like this. The invite to see the panelvan is open to you as well. At the time I was competing, I was Australia's Loudest unsponsored 0 - 500 watt car.
  20. Certainly do. 14 trophies to be precise. And a Australian record. For your information, my freq was 34Hz, myself and Craig Handley (if you know your sh!t like you say you do, you will know he used to be the sole importer of MTX into Australia) custom built 2 boxes, one with 8 x 15in MTX ThunderPro woofers driven by 2 x MTX 225HO's, we used to get 148's out of that configuration, and them we removed 2 of the 15's, rebuilt the enclosure, and used the space inside the box more effectively, and that is when we broke into the 150's. Reinforced the cabin while we were there. And by the time I finished competing and tuning, we were hitting 155's regulary. About the same time the MTX Hellbus was getting around. Hypersound did most of the installation on the XB. The whole back of the panelvan was utilised as the speaker enclosure. If you still need further proof, I still own the car, pop round and have a look at the white MTX panelvan (as it was known) in my garage..... I'll send you deaf while youre there.
  21. Please Sir, may we have some more?
  22. ms700

    NEWSFLASH!

We will wait and see....... hopefully its the fix we've all been waiting for!
  23. Me and my XB Panelvan used to compete in IASCA, and people still wonder why I dont go cruisin with it at full noise, considering it used to punch regular 155 db's...
