  1. Doubt it Scotty. They would be happy to do it, at your expense. And you'd have to kiss the warranty on your clutch goodbye forever......

    Rear Suspension

There is a TSB on this, for sedans only... The rear coil is catching on the locating tongues, they grind 5mm away, and aparrently the squeak goes too...... Hope this helps.
  3. I got 8:30 in a 69 SS Camaro, spent more times sideways than straight! GT4.
  4. Paid $122.9cpl for Ultimate in Braddon yesterday...... $10 gave me 8 litres or so.... enough to get home. And people wonder why I dont drive the XR much, let alone the 378cu.in XC!

    Edit Update

How do you know which version you have? My edit is only a month old or so. Where is this sitcker located?
  6. Just got home, whoa, what a huge weekend! It was a honour and a pleasure to tow the Bride and co to the wedding! Was also cool to catch up with all the boys and talk crap! Ive got some good pics, I'll post them up tomorrow! Big congrats to Trumpster and Christine!
  7. Sorry to sidetrack folks Well, I had the same problem and now run mobil, although I had that detonate on me a month or so ago. Never had much problems on BP but I havent dynoed it on BP either to see if there is a loss in power. Lots of black crap out the exhaust with the Synergy 8000 though Maybe the car is running too rich <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Id say that black stuff is from the Synergy petrol. I read here somewhere that Mobil use something, that will leave a black residue on your exhaust tip, where BP dont. Something about high and low fuels? If I was any good at moderating id track down the topic, and link, but because im fat and lazy....... Back on topic!
  8. I believe Herrods are just rebadging the C.A.P.A flasher.
  9. $400 is a rip off! Full tote retail on these puppies is $425! I will sell you one tomorrow for $350! Not hard to install either, your dealer can do it. Just make sure you see your dealer before your new cluster hits 100klms, cause aparrently once they hit 100klms, they can't have the correct kays flashed onto them....... that's what I heard anyhow.
  10. What he said! Except delete the bit about the rug rat, and the custom edit!
  11. Arent most things? Browsed through a Ford Motorsport SVO catalogue lately? Ive got a edit, and I rate it highly.
  12. Dunno whats going on here, and I am not doubting Ian's tuning ability one bit, but if my T was running 19:1 AFR id be a tad concerned! that's a bit too lean for my liking! Please explain! Correct me if I am wrong, I really hope ive stuffed something up, or else I better order you a new short engine on next week's Ford stock order.....
  13. I rung said person in charge of this little hootenanny on Monday, seems this show has been posponed due to not enough space! Seems that there wont be enough space for the expected entrants, so the show has been temporarily canned.... Trevor Steenholdt looked at booking Braddon Oval for the show, dunno how it went....
  14. Change? From factory? Oh, last Wednesday! I bought a APS exhaust a while ago, and just recently bought a Typhoon front mount, all in anticipation for the Edit. With a combination of these mild mods, teamed up with my XR8 airbox, the Edit has worked extrmemely well. I don't have accurate dyno figures (dont have readily access to DD dyno's), so I am not going to post the figures I have. And because my closest drag strip is over 2.5 hours away, I dont have a ET or trap speed. But I am very happy with it! I will probably wait until the Dyno Day at Spiro's until I quote accurate figures.
  15. BTW, who is the EMS tuner in sydney? Not much of a prescence of any products in sydney other than Aps or so it seems <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Vince Rigoli is a EMS tuner. He currently owns a extremely fast 1200 ute, which is damn good advertising if you ask me!
  16. I have a Edit, and I am very happy with it!
  17. Lucky we didn't tick the 4WD box when we ordered the Territory! HA! That fcuked you Scuby, didn't it!

    300 Rwkw At Xtc#2

I am trying to find out why that, and indeed a few other topics have been moved as well. Hopefully I'll have a answer shortly.... I cant see any reason why the tests can't proceed this Saturday.
  19. Here's my theory. There is a known problem with the "fly by wire" accellerator pedal with all BA Falcons. We have done almost 30, and mine is getting done tomorrow. There is no loss in performance, all that happens is when you go past, say, 1/4 throttle, the engine light comes on, and "usually" stays on until you stop accellerating. It does log a code in the ECU, a quick hookup with a PDS/WDS will verify this. I would say its pure coincidence that the engine light is coming on after the exhaust was done. Give your dealer a quick call, and ask if there has been any problems with the engine light coming on while accellerating. If you have no luck with that, let us know..... that's what I reckon, will be interesting to see how close I am!
  20. Have a butchers at this link too, the first pic in Falchoon's post is of my airbox setup. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...wtopic=7554&hl=
  21.  Taxi companies! Ive been saying it all along! The white T is a very universal car! Once you are sick of cruising around, just whack a illuminated TAXI sign on the roof, and bob's yer uncle! You can go and make some money carting drunks home!
  22. I was quoted a smidge over 2K by Reiner from APS, by the time I bought the swing valve which is needed also. I am not denying the APS is a nice unit, but I got my Typhoon intercooler at a much better price than $1400 (as you would expect), so with the change, im going 1800-Dial-A-Tune. Should get out of it for a smidge over 2K. It was a better way to go IMHO. Horses for courses! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So what results did you get out of it Mick. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Haven't actually ordered the 1800 yet! Will probably order it Friday. Will let most of you know the results!
  23. Dave apparently there have been members that have fitted the PWR cooler and have gone backwards in power. It has not had glowing reviews. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wouldn't touch them <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I believe it was their old "twin pass" cooler that a few members fitted to the ir T's, and removed them just as quick. It will be interesting to see how the new "single pass" goes. Twin pass = twice as much restriction. I run a PWR core in the XC, it seems to work very well. We designed our own end tanks to TIG onto it. I usually run about 8 degrees above ambient in the XC.
