  1. I want the boost to come on hard, but smooth if that makes sense (doesn't everyone!). I don't want it as a MASSIVE hit after its kicked back and lagged for almost 2 seconds. I want it smooth and gradual, but being smooth and gradual and hitting boost as quick as possible keeping that in mind. My old BFII phoon's tune was like that, and I absolutely looooooved the way the power came on. It was quick but really smooth, so when you were already cruising in say 3rd at anything over 2500rpm, the second your foot hit the throttle it was instant. When I belted it from a stand start in first, it came on hard but was very smooth, so you felt the boost build up. I guess that was accentuated also because being a BFII I personally feel a huge difference in bottom end power (mainly before boost has even come in) between them and the FG's because of the engine. Even my brothers stock FG F6 took off way better than my old BFII phoon that had over 450rwhp. So basically, I want it to boost up as quick as possible, for it to still be really smooth. Think im gonna go some 18's, staggered rears, 245 fronts and 275 rears in Invo's all round.
  2. Are braided lines expensive?
  3. Oh really? Didn't think of that. Sounds like 3 colours on the rim might be a bit too much? The look I always go for is, Unique and like no other, but in a sleek/tidy sense, not a "Hey looks at my f*ckin' retarded highlighter coloured rims and multicoloured car"...
  4. No one else is liking the white with red lip? Haha
  5. Can't say I've jumped on the black roof band Wagon. Not keen at all. It'll either be black then do a white lip or I'm gonna go with the white with red lip.
  6. that's not a very good review.... lol... Would cost a fortune to get someone to paint the lip up to the start of the inside part of the rim (spokes) wouldn't it?
  7. Yeah, I think that's just passing the rest aye, I really like that white stripe.... You can get like, pinstrip things to go around rim lips can't you? Thanks so much Steve, really appreciate that help mate!
  8. Mate I'd be spewing about not having T3's.... Unfortunate it took you a whole day as well. So much dicking around. Glad you are happy with them though. Do you find the pads bite pretty hard straight away? I've heard the SRT's go through pads quite fast but for the sake of them biting well and stopping well, I'm happily replace rotors 5000kms earlier than with softer pads...
  9. mmm... Possibly, would you mind trying it out on photoshop Steve? I'm still so torn between them. To me, the black is still too.... average looking, especially on white. My brothers FG F6 has black plastidipped "twisty" rims, and its nice but, its just so nothing to me. I don't like that theres nothing to break up the colours, its just black.
  10. GUYS PLEASE GIVE ME SOME OPINIONS!!! I'm actually so torn between them all, I have no idea what I wanna do. I like the top one, but I'm not sure if its a little too..... out there. I don't mind the middle but I don't like the black on white without a lip, its too... nothing looking. And I like the black with red lip but is the red lip a bit too random? I'm wanting a "unique" look, not an average everyday "seen it before" look but not a "what a f*ckin dickhead" look... Terribly torn between the lot...
  11. Thanks CHLAXN! That looks super sleek man, looks really understated, but just really tidy. Think I prefer it better with the Silver version on your ute mate. Mines going on white, and I'm worried that the black with no groove is gonna look crap.... I've aaaaalways been a fan for a chrome lip. I'm considering the black with Red lip, im just tryna see what looks best. Or even the white with red lip
  12. SteveR you are great with photoshop! Would you be able to help me out with a couple of different rims on a car in photoshop if I sent you a pm?
  13. The all black, with no different coloured groove/lip really suits on Sunburst aye. Looks really nice man
  14. Wanting to see different Lenso D1R's on different coloured falcons. Cheers guys
  15. Well, I'd call it the "right" way. haha. I was gonna do a build. Was gonna be, Tyres, Brakes, Suspension, gearbox strengthen, engine work/bolt on mods haha. Which is how I think you should. But, instead have a car that was 90 percent done. And whats not done is suspension/tyres/brakes haha. So currently tryna do that
  16. Ok mate, no worries. Looking at ordering them from Taleb tyres, they seem to be pretty good. And from what you've said they seem pretty well priced too.
  17. Fair enough. I love brembo's too, were great on my old BFII Phoon. Had sh*t tyres on it though so didn't help much haha. Honestly though I personally don't think I could justify the money for them if they didn't come on whatever car I bought. Also TomT it looks like you've lowered it... Have you just chucked some springs on? Or have you gone like, Tein adjustable suspension pack? If just springs (like kings or something), do you find that at all affects the traction? I'd imagine it would a little bit... Feel free to correct me if im wrong anyone.
  18. Also Tom, what brakes have you got for pushing out over 400rwkw... And did you have any issues fitting want you wanted with the D1R's? I'm thinking going some DBA T3 4000 Cross Drilled/Slotted with Bendix SRT pads...
  19. Oh wow, stupid question. Not like I've just been looking at Lenso D1R's for the past hour or anything... haha. Sorry mate, just looked a little different in the picture. Tryna figure out whats gonna look best on white... I like black, but not so keen without any lip... I like black with the red lip but not sure if I like it enough. Not keen on silver/chrome... And don't mind white with red lip.... Too many choices haha
  20. TomT what are those rims called? They look tidy as.
  21. Getting a lot of votes for 18's... Had 1 tyre place say go 18's and one place tell me to go staggered 20's... I'm gonna have a look into some 18's I think...
  22. that's helped heaps, thanks mate
  23. I know my "right foot" plays a big part etc etc, but all im really after is when I do boot it, I wanna be able to have it stick as well as possible...
  24. 380rwkw FG Turbo Sedan Currently has 20" copy Dark Argents with 245 all round.. Will change rims if I have to, just wanna get the most amount of traction possible. Have been told by the family-used tyre place that my best bet is going staggered 18's with Nexen N8000's... (think he was considering money as a big factor) or he said Nitto Invo's (at 500 a tyre)... Do 18's look tiny on FG's? Is there much of a range for 9.5/10" rears in an 18"? Or would I be just as good getting some staggered 20's? If so, can anyone recommend some good tyres for the street. Money isn't THAT big of an issue, I just want the most amount of traction possible (on a decent looking rim haha). Worth getting something like R888's or am I wasting my time for street use? Worried I'll go through them too fast.
  25. Sorry what now, you got a 275's on factory Dark Argents....?
