  1. Thanks for the help man... Where does one get such 'shims'?
  2. Ok, so does that mean I don't need a kit, I just need shims? Sorry I'm still a little confused.
  3. VixenF6 - It is an FG, but I was told I needed a camber kit with extra shims to allow for that. So, if I don't need to the kit, how can I change it?
  4. While talking about camber I might jump in if possible. My car currently has 2.5 degrees of negative camber, and im told you can get a pack for about 400 bucks installed that will straighten it up properly (that's from a tire place, and unfortunately tyres/camber isn't my forte). Is that about right or? At the moment I'm ripping through achilles ATR sports, and before I put my 275 invos on I want the camber sorted. It was just wearing the inside of the tyre away, and over a trip from karratha to perth I lost 3 tyres in the same way, inside of each tyre just ripped away half way around the whole tyre.
  5. Ok good good, I thought it was ok, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks guys
  6. I have the same on my ZF, just a tune and a tranny cooler. They still wouldn't be good for much over 400rwkw would they?
  7. Hey guys, Since I've had my car its felt a little off, and I plan to be taking it to Simon to have the car, and ZF retuned. It seems to really need it. But I just quickly wanted to know, how hot is too hot for these gearboxes? When I was driving down from the country, getting in the high 100's (kms per hour), for hours at a time, I was getting to 180-200F at some stages, which I was getting cautious with, so I slowed down a lot and got it down to around 160-180F. The other day I got stuck in the city, stop start, on a hot day, and my gearbox was at 220F and climbing. When I arrived at my destination I tried to let it cool as much as possible before driving again, and it got to about 170F before I started driving again. Went up to around 200F while driving again until I got on the freeway which it actually cooled down to around 160F. It didn't seem to like the stop start driving. The car also has a Transmission cooler. On my last ZF I never had gauges for the trans temp so never really saw how hot it actually got, so I just wanna know if this is normal? More often than not for general driving I'm at 130-160F Just wanting to make sure its not going to explode haha. Cheers
  8. Yeah I found the same thing John, and didn't like it for my personal needs/wants. They are super comfy, not only the seat but the way the car feels, the suspension, the power delivery, everything. I gave it a bit when I was having a look at one, and it felt so slow, but it was actually going a lot faster than it felt. I was used to my old jumpy/bouncy BFII F6, that was just ready to go when you wanted it to, I dunno, kinda the difference you'd feel between a WRX and an EVO. I like the little bit stiffer suspension of the XR6 turbo that I have as oppose to the G6E turbo's "grandpa" feel. Great car, and really enjoyed it. Just wasn't for me Is it staying stock or? I have to say I was really impressed with Boris and his xr6T, a few people go on about it, and I've seen it with my own eyes now, chucking on a few mods and maxing out the stock turbo looks like its awesome fun.
  9. Saw GAMA747 at a house on Doulette st, in Spearwood, which runs off my street. I don't know why I know that car? I just recognise it. Is that anyone on here? BF/BFII F6 in lightning strike with orange plates/white writing,
  10. Looking for somewhere to put on a custom decal kit I had made up for my car. And some debadging. Anyone know of any good/cheap places around? I only really know of one, and found the price a little high. I may be wrong, it might not be that bad, it just seemed a little steep considering they wanted almost 4 times as much as what it cost to have it made. Prefer SOR but not that fussed, happy to drive for a good job.
  11. Yeah its an FG. So with it apparently needing to be a 245/30, theres no issue being a 245/35?
  12. Just a quick question on the topic of offsets etc. Got a set of dark argent copies - 20 inch. 245's all round, currently running a 245/30/20 tyre. I've had some tyre places tell me running a 245/35/20 could set the car off, making it think theres something wrong and flip the traction control out? I've heard it could possibly cause damage. I've also heard that 245/35 will be fine, and probably be even better. Can anyone explain? Cause 245/35 are a lot easier to get a hold of than 245/30...
  13. Definitely keen for merchandise
  14. Basically I've had the bank stuff me over a bit, and I'm pretty sure I have a case. I'm tryna sort it with the bank but keep hearing from a different staff member every day, none of who can actually bloody help me or fix the situation, and wanted outside advice, or see if anyone can help me or has any ideas before I go to the ombudsman. If you work for a bank or a finance company or anything like that that you could help with personal loan troubles, please let me know. Would prefer you tell me here so I can pm you, or if you just pm me, don't really wanna discuss all my issues on a thread. Cheers
  15. Sorry guys I didn't really have much of a look lol, was just making a general point.
  16. Any money they stuffed up and its only and XR6, I've seen that happen heaps. Same thing with a G6E, saying it was a G6ET.
  17. Hahaha. Ah well, looks like that's gonna stick. Better just get used to it haha
  18. Hahahahaha that's so rude can't believe you (whoever you are, you white devil) changed my account name to The Kerb Warrior hahaha Whoever it was I'm blaming Steve for coming up with it anyway! haha
  19. I don't know if I'm really happy with a nickname like that haha. that's unfortunately my biggest problem, I like to spend money too much.
  20. Yeah mate, didn't notice till the next morning, but the impact actually went through so hard its cracked the windscreen. Just hoping there's no suspension damage. Gonna have that checked out. Tyre place couldn't really tell too much they reckon.
  21. Yeah kyle, Buckled one rim, apparently another is lightly buckled also. But I've decided, stuff it, new rims, new tyres, im thinking stage 2 trans, E85 tune, turbo side intake, hoping to get close to 500rwkw. I'm thinking I'm gonna go all out But I dunno how silly I wanna go haha.
  22. I dunno but I'm with you Boris, hope there's another cruise in the near future. Had a great time apart from cracking my windscreen and buckling a rim haha. And yeah, keen for that video too if you wanna take it off private kyle
  23. Hahaha Kyle was like steve what the hell are you doing?! haha. Was a great picture Felt good about myself too, until gordon actually got traction and flew by us. Even on the first drive, when he gave it a little bit a few times, nothing much, I knew it was an absolute monster.
  24. Hahahaha was that John or Steve that went 'ppphhhwoooooffff" as I went by? haha
