  1. As the Owner/Operator of a Shell Servo (For the moment) I can give you this advise...... 1) Never Fill your car if a Tanker is unloading or has unloaded in the last 20 or so Mins......I know sometimes you dont know if he just left....but if there is a tanker in the Driveway.....DON'T FILL UP. Reasons - a) Fuel entering the tank stirs up the crap sitting in the bottom.....usually a mix of Condensation / Tank Rust (If its an older style Tank) and dust that has entered through the Breathers..........it creates a Whirlpool effect lifting the levels of pollutants into the outlet pipe while people fill up....while most of the solids are filtered out....its not uncommon for 2-5 litres of water be sucked into a Fuel Tank. Note - Most tanks have between 5-30 litres of water at any given time but it is only a problem when its disturbed. Reason - b) Hot Fuel - If you live in a Capital City near a refinery.....and as Shell has only just brought Optimax online again.......they are filling the Tanks with Hot Fuel (Just Processed) This can cause problems with your fuel lines creating air bubbles and blockages due to expansion and shrinkage....recently a Servo in Sydney had a line of Vehicles waiting for Fuel....They were delivered Hot Fuel.....all these vehicles started filling up and made it about 100 meters down ther road before the engines stopped. There was a line of about 20 cars all sitting on the side of the road waiting for road service.....and it cost Shell a fortune in repairs. This may have been part of your problem....but even if its not.....take note!! If you ever suspect a problem with fuel....go to your nearest mechanic and get him to take a sample from the drain plug in your tank if there is one fitted......call Customer Service at the Fuel Company and report the matter also advise the Service station of the problem....if they are at fault they will pay for all repairs and replacement fuel. If you like you can also hit them up for damages for lost wages / accomodation & meals when travelling etc...... Hope this helps!
  2. Hang Gliders? ...........Not usually..... Jet Pilots are actually taught in single engine Prop Driven Aircraft.......Slower....more forgiving....and a little bit more user friendly.... The way it should be for Vehicle Drivers. Take the Roulettes Aircraft for example.........The PC-9/A is a two-seat single engine turboprop aircraft and is the major basic training aircraft for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). After you learn the basics then you are brought through stages of various aircraft with different handling charicteristics and power........Props / Twin Props / Small Jets (Hawk) then the big suckers......I agree with you on one thing though ...learn to drive properly.........but to do that..........you gotta start at the bottom.
  3. I agree with Ford's statement and hope that the restrictions are made law Australia wide as they are in Victoria..... Ive lost too many friends to stupidity and inexperience.......If its ok to restrict the Power to Weight Ratio of Motorcycles for learners & P Platers... I dont see why cars should be any different. Flame me if you want........but I agree with it!!
  4. I dont know if we have a Team Green or Team Envi....but if we dont we should! Picked up my Envi MkII XR6T today...........and Ive had a rampaging boner ever since! I Luv it............I Luv it...........I Luv it......... Will Post a couple of Pics later tonight
  5. As the Operator of one of the very few "Independant" Shell Servo's............Im not even allowed to sell Optimax let alone ask questions about it..........we are only allowed to sell "Premium". If you can get an answer out of Shell on anything you are doing well! The entire Shell organisation is a complete ClusterF*%k and has been for about 12 months now.....(Since Coles bought in). Lucky we have decided to rebrand before Shell collapsed in a big heap anyways! Suprisingly I found this on the Shell Website..... Shell Optimax out of stock. Due to circumstances beyond our control, Shell is currently unable to supply Shell Optimax to all sites in NSW, ACT and Vic. We aim to be back in stock from the 24th of November in Victoria and 27th of November in NSW and ACT. Please accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience. For more information please call 1300 134 555.

I thought shockwave was much darker! Otherwise is gonne be ordered in Envi! Thanks in Advance P
  25. Hmmm yep done that. If I want to register for news on the Mark II it is all good. Everything else still sends me to old info. I don't care about news about the model, it has been released, I want details and an up to date web site so I know what I'm buying. I agree...............and I recieved the info pack in the mail yesterday........and to be totally honest.........it was crap........ Apart from a pic of a "Rapid" XR8..........there was no new info..........apart from a small mention of the new 6 Speed Manual. Lift your game Ford!
