Spot on Benny, sounds like it is more of the electronics which does not look good, as for a specialist , dpoes anyone know of one in or around Adelaide??

Hi Guys, in real need of any ideas!! Please!! I have a 2008 FG XR6 t with the following mods...... upgrade exhaust , injectors , intercooler and flash tuned giving me 330 rwkw. that's where the fun ends. Continually getting a Transmission fault P0735 appears when in 6th gear and it drops to 5th , revs high , cannot change gear , just need to pull over turn engine off and start again. Took it back to tuners who suggested an oil change on transmission, Done and Just the same. Took it to Ford main dealers ( amongst other names ) who told me the transmission needs replacing / rebuilding at a cost of $5900 ( in addition cleared my flash tuner and had to replace!! ) . Took it back to tuners who said they can get transmission rebuilt , all fitted etc for $2200. Went ahead with the overhaul and they found 3rd and 5th clutch's worn so replaced . Picked up on Friday and guess what ....................... just the same!!!!! Going back in on Monday but was wondering if there is anyone out there who have experienced anything like this themselves and who have any idea where / what to try next. From someone who really just wants to drive around without having to worry about things going wrong Any ideas please!!! Davo

Recently had mine ( Fg 2008 ) tuned with Bruce at Lonsdale, after having intercooler and injectors upgraded. Now getting 330rwkw and one very happy owner. Not cheap butn there again does anyone know a garage that is , believe in you get what you pay for.

Thanks for the replies guys, just an update.................................Finally decided to put it into Bruce Hienrichs here in Adelaide for an upgrade of intercooler together with upgrade of injectors, with the work already done I have been informed to expect 330 to 350 at the wheels . Will be more than happy with that , for now anyway , once agian thanks

Hi Guys, new to this forum so please take it easy on me!! I have a2008 FG 6T , my first turbo and absolutely love it, however feel the need to do things. Having already had a stainless system fitted and a tune up at Willall Racing here in Adelaide, now looking at upgrading the intercooler and could do with some guidance. I have seen a upgrade on ,dare I say it , ebay . Its a Autotechnica and suggest an increase of 20kw. What I would like to know is, has anyone used this intercoole?r, is it worth the mod,? can I expect an increase in power? will the car need retuning? Thanks in advance for replys Davo
