I have an 04 ba xr6t mk 2 auto had 130 000kms on it and here is the list of what needed doing in the period of 3 mnths after I bought it, *new coils and plugs *new discs all round * new upper and lower rear control arms * new control blade bushes * had an aftermarket gasket on the manifold to turbo flange which blew out and caused the studs to rattle loose, check these periodically one of mine actually rattled al the way out! and lost it * vaccuum boost regulator needed servicing just a squirt of wd40 down its guts. * new centre dif cradle bush- alot easier to get a mechanic witha hoist to do this dont be a numpty like me and do it with vehicle stands and a a couple of trolley jacks was an absolute PITA. * and new front wheel bearing and hubs * also I know u were looking at a manual but for anyone who has an auto if some one has serviced your box in the past its all to easy for then to have cracke the arse out of the ally fitting which go into the heat exchanger, I investigated a slight ATF weep on the bottom hose of my heat exchanger didnt notice the crack and did it back up again and busted the arse out of the fitting lucky we have a good wrecker that's open saturdays which had a fresh BA come in, alway something to keep in mind sorry for the lenght of post

got a mate in Mackay who filled his diesel patrol right to the brim with unleaded and he had long range tanks! all 180 litres of it ! and all he had to pump it all out was one of those pissy electric fuel pumps out of a v6 commodore, havnt let him live it down since.

each to thier own im not a fan of the new green on fg's looks to much like the green on commodores but u get my point

my first car was a 89 magna station wagaon (YAWN) thank god it died horribly next was my first ford a 92 Fairmont next was a 96 xh ute ( I was going through a bit of a cowboy phase LOL next was my nissan ute ( yes still a bit cowboy) Then tried going sensible for a while (didnt work) 2001 landrover discovery was a puss bucket always broke down. 95 fairmont run around - stock as a rock and 320 000 kms and still went like a train! another 96 xh ute was a puss bucket nothing worked and columnshift auto whinned it head off in every gear when it was hot cold, whatever. and last but not least my turbo and god I love it ( would put a horn on a jellyfish I reckon lol) Hopefully more to come, one day I'll get my GTHO

was changing the engine and gearbox oil on my patrol ute in a mates shop with his 4 post hoist had one of those telescopic oil catchers on the stand to drain all the old oil into after I was done took the catch can off the stand and emptied it into his waste oil drum then came back and started lowereing the hoist to take the oil filters off, and I left the stand for the catch can under the hoist and smashed the sump in not F***ing happy jan was due to go on a big 4wding camping trip the next day.

made some improvements this week, hockey stick stripes and tinted windows
