  1. Ummmmm........1998 v8 supercars top 10 was between 50-51 seconds per lap. These excels are around 15 seconds a lap slower. Which also makes Scatterbrains car around 5 seconds a lap faster. Which is a lot. Not taking anything away from them but they are not in the same league whatsoever time wise.
  2. Parking it with the handbrake can crack the rotors
  3. Brembo brakes will solve the brake issues. Or even some dba t3 with a good pad I found held up well. Didn't have the stopping power of the Brembos though. Also a full brake fluid flush and some high temp fluid. I flush mine after 2 track days. You sure it's an oil temp light and not the coolant? Up the oil to a quality 15w/50 and flush your coolant out and replace it with just water and Redline water wetter. Make sure you do cool down laps, and I'd recommend a zf oil change if it's never been done. If your going to continue tracking the car, best thing you can do is have all fresh fluids in everything and change them often to help protect the car, and just do your best to not cook the hell out of it.
  4. Have you changed pads or rotors recently? I have had similar noises in the past where I put new rotors In that didn't like the pad. They were not happy with each other as I didn't face the pads. No amount of bedding could get rid of it.
  5. Moved mine forward just the other night. If you take the plastic tray off underneath and look up,you can see if it hits. My process west stage 2 was actually touching the condenser. The end tank of the cooler just hit it at the very bottom. I spaced it forward a few mm with some washers. My mates rubbed a hole in the condenser with a PW stage 1 cooler last week. By the time he gets a new condenser fitted and regas it's a few $$$ for sure. His was fit by a proper performance shop too, one with a pretty good rep. I'd be taking the tray off and double checking it has clearance for anyone with an intercooler upgrade. Not worth the risk.
  6. What oil you run Jimmy? I run the Nulon 10w-40 and have spoken with the nulon tech guys a few times and they recommend I step up to the 15-50 for the circuit days I do, so will be doing that before the next one. I change under every 5000km, or for every track day. Oil is cheap.
  7. By the time you ran a 4" pipe under the control arm on these cars with enough clearance to not hit the arm when it moved it would be on the ground already.

It's a Borg Warner EFR, exact model I'm unsure. The smaller of the 2 that Nizpro has been using on these cars I'd say. Needs a few custom parts to fit it though is all, and relocation of the power steering fluid reservoir.

Would love to know a ballpark price on the EFR conversion mick. On a car that already has all the supporting hardware. So if a car came in maxed out stock turbo. What we looking at drive out with efr?

Yes, his car seems to do it all very easy. 1/4 times included. He can obviously steer the f*cker.
  11. Don't think you'll get away with 0 camber on the rear, And don't think you'll be able to pull full lock on the front either. Have a look here... http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/85736-pics-of-275s-all-round-for-circuit/

My car with 325rwkw will turn 2nd with 275 NT05s if I feed it on. I would have thought yours would do 3rd or even 4th with an extra 150rwkw and 245s.
  13. A regular subaru impreza hatch. Not a wrx. And a plain 4wd Toyota hilux. You just can't spot them these days. Except for the XR6Ts with a huge aerial hanging off the qtr panel. See them a mile off.
  14. Nice one Furiousgibbon! I'd find it very hard to push on a road course. How did the NT01 go? If you put the seat base all the way back, then pull the waist tight using the shoulder strap, then quickly pull it the other way so it locks, then return your seat back to your normal position while holding the belt locked, this will then hold you locked very tight in the seat. Your seat I believe is better than my XR seat. Or you can use one of these http://www.cglock.com.au which Nelsonian told me about. I looked into a dedicated seat but it was too hard for what I do with it. If you put a seat in and drive to the track and something was to happen and the airbags where disabled it wouldn't go down well. Then where do the belts go? Could get a removable harness bar made up to run between the belt anchor points, but like I said, was all way to expensive an exercise for what I do. Haha.
  15. Fg f6 has oil temp I'd say each 1/5th is 30'c.
  16. Fg v8 manual radiator is a 55mm. Although they do 'make to order' this radiator it's not custom. And it is very very tight.
  17. Wow that could of been bad. Good work on bringing it in to have a look over it. Really got to run a high quality wheel when pushing these at the track. It's just not worth it.
  18. Can't remember exactly now, There was a few boost options like 'desired boost' etc. I went off 'manifold absolute pressure' and subtracted the atmospheric pressure. This correct for boost Mick? Would be nice to see a straight up boost reading in PSI though.
  19. I tried the gauges, whilst I got a few things to work, I couldn't get a boost reading.
  20. '10secn' runs consistent 10s on his stepped PW cooler at about 400rwkw, but, on e85 which helps with cooling.
  21. I'm SSL and that car is lower than mine. SSSL front will suck for comfort though. But if you really want it to look like that car. That's what you'll need. Here's mine. SSL front and rear.
  22. King spring SSSL front and rear
  23. I would bet my nuts this Tog exhaust on ebay comes from the EXACT same factory in the same offshore country. It is identical. Welds and all. Tog even posted on their facebook looking for a test fitment car. For an exhaust they already had. The only difference is the Niz has the Magnaflow resonator in the middle pipe. Which is obvious it has been put in by somebody else to the guy that made the rest, or they forgot how to weld all of a sudden. Along with the guy who put the mild steel exhaust hanger in after the cat. BOTH which are not on this exhaust pictured. Busted....
  24. Got room through cradle, no room through mid section cause pipe is made wrong. Is fixed now though.
  25. Sounds awesome but Jimmy is on the money 110%.
