  1. The set I got is pretty used, they were off a Porsche race car. I have a 275 rear on a 9.5". Mine hook up second gear very good on the street. Heaps better than my similar condition NT05s were. It might be a bit different trying to get it down out of corners on the track though. I wouldn't be expecting many km from them with every day usage though.
  2. Agree the Nitto Invos are a good everyday tire. Want more rear grip than that? I found the NT05 pretty good. But loses grip as it wears past 1/2 life. Also is a lot noisier.
  3. Look like a rediculous set of bunny ears. And they don't rotate with the wheel. So can't use them mid corner. Probably the most rediculous thing I've seen for a falcon yet.
  4. Got a track day coming up in 2 weeks at Wakefield Park. Can't wait! Got some used R888s on too so very keen to see how the power and grip is compared to before.
  5. Here you go...
  6. I would purchase the Nizpro over the TOG 100%. My reasons, it's only $200 more. They fit a few extra hangers, which the exhaust needs. Extra Magnaflow muffler/resonator, Im sure Nizpro don't put it in there for fun. My exhaust sounds spot on now I've done 1000km on it and it's carboned up a bit. NO freeway drone. Also Nizpro know these cars inside and out, they can give you advice on fitting it and have fit countless I'd imagine. TOG have never fit one last time I checked. Nizpro obviously designed the exhaust, yes, they may get it made off shore, but at least they didnt come along and just start selling the same product renamed as their own. Tog sells many imitation Chinese made parts. TOG was advertising a while back they had their new exhaust for sale, 1st one was discounted to see if it fits. How the hell do they make an exhaust and not even know somebody with an FG. I'd support Nizpro over TOG any day.
  7. Agreed on quality flawless my ass on Niz exhaust. Chris at best mufflers will not be able to get the TOG. You will have to buy it direct.

Really? 18" is 275/35 which I run. Would of thought it would be a 30 profile for 19".
  9. I have worked in smash repairs for 18 years. I had absolutely no hesitation in cutting for the stage 2 process west cooler. However, there is no way I would roll my guards on my car. Each to their own on what they are comfortable doing.
  10. Are we talking of just changing the diff oil or fixing a leaky hat? Leaking hat is no 2 min job in a sedan, as he said it was leaking in the first post. Leaking hat means drop the rear cradle out. I'm sure you could do it on stands if you really wanted to and were geared up. I wouldn't attempt it, that's for sure.
  11. On a sedan. Not easy at all.
  12. You got to remember even if you can make similar peak power with less mods, A car with better flowing cooler and exhaust is likely to make more through the rest of the range. It's not JUST peak rwkw figures you should be interested in.
  13. All cars are different, dynos are different also. When I did mine, I did all the best stuff I could to give it the best chance possible. Here is mine. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/89309-autotech-tuned-fg/ Agree with Plug on port/flapper/actuator. I didn't do mine and it's fine. You could of put that towards a quality cooler.
  14. Need real intercooler and exhaust.
  15. I just looked under a BF. Same. 2 parts, both are 91'c. Maybe one of their thermostats from another car fits that is an 82c?
  16. I checked Tridon site today. They only list 2 for an FG. A high flow and a standard replacement. Both 91 degree.
  17. The tridon high flow is actually still 91'c thermostat. Taken from Tridon website, "Tridons range of high flow thermostats are designed to improve cooling system performance. The high flow thermostat has a larger valve allowing approximately 30% more coolant flow, eliminating the need to use a cooler temperature thermostat." It's also listed as a 91'c in the details on the item.

Got a mate with a fg ute, 320rwkw clutch started slipping. Car only has 15,000km. Doesn't do burnouts either. Just from feeding it on. He just upgraded it.
  19. I bought a Mazda MPS brand new in 2010. 5000km in it started leaking oil. About 8 trips to the dealer and a new engine later, as the old one had a porous engine block. All cars can have problems.

I could notice a huge difference on my car when I went to the 4" nizpro exhaust. Can hear the spool up in the dump easily now. But doesn't sound like it will suck somebody through the intake. Haha.

I find I get more than enough spool noise in the 4" exhaust.

^ agreed. Plus the noise of the turbo side will sh*t me after 2 weeks.
  23. Had my 2011 timing cover re sealed under warranty about 2 years ago. Pretty common.
  24. Back in their day these were very big $$ cars. Whoever told you the Hyundais were faster had been on some good gear. Watch the video. Can you imagine an Excel doing that? Ha Race lap record was a 51.44 at the time for a v8 supercar. Qualifying times obviously faster.
