  1. hey mate, I just did the ssl/sssl last weekend too, its slightly firmer than stock, but nothing to worry about, And the ride still being nice was my main concern. In my opinion it sits perfect now. Also I got an all wheel alignment buy a top suspension shop here, they shimmed my front arms up nicely, and he said the rear was going to be fine. Go for it.
  2. Just an update after my alignment at Heasmans Steering. Front arms shimmed up nicely, my rear has no camber adjusters and he said it'll be fine without camber arms or camber bushes, and that ill wear the tyres out from the power long before the camber will hurt them.
  3. Just took the car down to work to put the new springs in. SSSL rear, SSL fronts. Photo was only taken just 10min after install so might come down more yet. Off to Heasman Steering Wednesday for alignment and shim front arms.
  4. going to do this tomorrow, How much pressure is the spring under on the front of an FG? I will have access to a spring compressor but this is my only real concern. Does it need to be compressed alot? Thanks.
  5. Ive been a spraypainter for about 15years... never heard of this. Unless you were out in the sun doing it or something which your obviously not. Sorry, cant help, I have no idea whats going on here. It wont be the paint. If anything, maybe there is some layer of something over the car? Try wiping a panel off with some wax and grease remover and see if that does anything???
  6. Bulletime- My mate did that at Vegas too- Ferrari, Lambo and the GTR. From memory it was pretty cheap too...
  7. Soo nice to see some high quality Jap wheels on one of these cars, size and offset is perfect too. Looks like a real high quality car with brembos as well. Now you just gotta do me a deal I can't refuse on the F6 wheels. Ha
  8. Perfection.....
  9. I got my ex Ford car- not actually ademo but driven by an executive. About 3 months ago, 13,000 KM for 30K. Hadnt been registered a whole year. I would imagine you could find what you want for 33k without too much hassle
  10. 245/35/R20= 245mm wide tyre/ 35% of 245mm in tyre profile/ 20" diameter
  11. Yes, the clear coat is measured in microns. I wouldn't attempt this if I was you. Plus long term, even if you do cut the peel back, you are also cutting back the UV protection the base coat (colour) has. Unless your car is extremely bad for some reason, which I'm yet to see an FG so bad. I would leave it as it is. Even if they would fix it under warranty, would you be happy having your whole car pulled apart and re painted? I wouldn't.
  12. As a spraypainter of 15 years I can tell you it's supposed to be like that. The FGs actually have a pretty decent finish on them compared to some cars. Enjoy your car and worry less.
  13. Geez gotta be quick, luckily I was! Haha
  14. More pics of misses, less of bike and car! ha

    BRAKE SHUDDER ISSUE

Just booked in for Wednesday to have my brake shudder fixed, only noticable at high speeds. Car has 16k on it. If it comes back any time soon ill be swapping for some DBA rotors
  16. Yes, at WSID a .000 is a perfect light. But I wait untill I have it loaded up to where I want before I leave anyway.
  17. so SSL will drop me about 20mm all around from my measurements then. I think the rears might need just a touch more....
  18. Im going to lower mine soon as Wholesale Suspension opens up again. was going to go SSSL rears but all these SSL are looking very nice. now im really struggling to decide, SSL/SSSL combo or SSL all round or SL/SSL like Vevas setup. damn decisions! ha. looking good guys!
  19. Had a look at a FPV GTP, I'm sorry, they are a one peice bar. If you want the hole gone, cheapest way, would be remove the bar, take it to a motorcycle repairer/plastic welder, they could most likely fill the hole. these guys are usually pretty good. Then you could just get the grey section repainted. Hope this helps.
  20. 95% sure, I'm a spraypainter. And although I haven't actually done a FG F6 rear bar, I would bet its another section that is clipped in to the top section just like the XR bars are. You would need to still remove the whole bar to change it over to get to the lugs on the back of it. I'll have a look at an actual car and let you know by this arvo.
  21. you can purchase the grey section on its own. without buying the whole bar.
  22. If its anything like the XR6 it has been cutout. And there is no peice to put there. I do like the design of the older falcons that had a removable section like your mentioning for the bumper. I'm not exactly sure what the F6 bar is like, but the XR has a 2 peice bar and the black section can be purchased separately, but that's only helpful if you don't ever want the tow bar back on really.
  23. Oh no, that's the worst Xmas present ever.
  24. If I were ready to tune, id be having a chat with CMS. I havent personally dealt with them yet, but, they seem to be doing alot of very quality work and itd be worth talking to Joe there. my previous car was tuned by Tunehouse a couple of times, (not a Ford) and although they were good, after a couple of years of using them there ended up being a few little things that made me think id probably go elsewhere next time.
  25. ^that's a good deal, even if it cost a trip to get it, I think Tas can be hard to sell cars so he'll probably even move more on the price.
