  1. This applies to almost everything, not just automotive parts. Also take a look at just for example, the price of a new Subaru STI in USA is low 30k, here its above $60k. The dollar is close enough to even, and the car is manufactured in Japan. That is a huge difference. Even more so, check the price of a new 911. Around 240k here and 80k in the USA, once again its not made in the US. But this applies to a lot of things, we earn more in Aus and are willing to pay more for a product would be part reason.
  2. Good videos. Flapper mod one is very interesting for somebody like myself who hasnt seen one. Thanks!
  3. Yeah, My HTG measurements are, Front- 355mm Rear- 343mm
  4. ^mine is mixed. If you want it to sit flat, you will need to go 1 lower in the rears.
  5. Same as before, SSSL rear, SSL front, Painted the wheels black last week.
  6. I would speak to Heasman Steering. They are the Bilstein experts for this sort of thing.

    Bad Tune?

^ NO way would I put up with a car running like that!
  8. T/B is throttle body *edit- Old mate beat me to it..
  9. Yep, my SSSL rear needed cut bumps. They are actually close to them on stock springs.
  10. Anybody know this white FG? 2nd car in this? Looks like its making some serious power... Just how much power does it take to blow the tyres off at that speed?
  11. Thanks for heads up mate, I work in a smash repairs, all those clips come out pretty easy, and should be able to reuse no problem. Good trick for the Christmas tree ones is is use some side cutters to pull them out. Get them under the head and just grip and pull. The screw head ones, undo the screw in the middle, then same thing, side cutters under the clip to lever them out if you don't have the proper clip remover tool. What are people paying for a tidy, used FG F6 cooler?
  12. Thank you mate! Much better looking!
  13. it does surprise me that people think an hour drive is far to have the job done right first time. I drove 1.5hrs each way to get 'real' wheel alignment. Ends up being cheaper and more convenient in the long run.
  14. Thanks again guys! Like I said, Basically I think it just looks alot better, and I can cut the lower bumper grill out. Then later on I can just change the cat, maybe some F6 injectors and a CMS tune.
  15. Ok, thank you.
  16. Hi guys, Surely this has come up before but I dont seem to be able to find any info. Can I run an FG F6 Intercooler on my otherwise stock engine XR6T without a tune and be safe? Not really trying to upgrade performance too much yet, but my Euro 4 2011 FG has the cooler with the plastic end tanks, and an F6 one would look a whole heap better. Then if I ever mod more down the line, at least the cooler is slightly better. I will never be chasing big numbers. high 200-300kw would more than suit me. Thanks.
  17. If this is in Sydney I would 100% come and check it out.
  18. the answer is yes. I work in smash repairs and we send wheels out to a proper wheel repair place for insurance work. They can fix buckled wheels, re-paint and machine the lip so it looks good as new. If they cant they will straight up let you know from the start. Virgin Wheel Repairs in Sydney is where our stuff goes.
  19. Thank you Trainer! Looks good! I wasn't sure to paint them or not. I will be now.
  20. can one of you guys please PS my wheels black for me? was going to paint them soon, be nice to see how they look first. Thank You!
  21. Black Spec R F6 JETF6R. Near Top Ryde. looked nice
  22. I think yes the customer owns the tune, we are not renting tunes! Ha. No different to paying somebody to build an engine or paint your car. You are paying for someone's time and knowledge to work on YOUR car. That said I would have no problem if my tuner 'locked' my tune so nobody else can use or see it. You wouldn't ask an engine builder to pass on all the specs to the new guy you now have to build a motor and expect him to hand them over. I say you own it but that doesn't mean you own the info and specs on what went on to get it to where it is. Far too much R&D is involved to just hand out that information .
  23. Just thought id add, after a week of driving around with the car lowered, It is definitely harder to get off the line on the street though once you try stall it up a bit. It seems to go up in wheelspin ALOT easier, and my car is stock power wise.... will be very interesting to see if I can match my previous times at the drags now its been lowered.
  24. Ok, sounds like there's going to be a few falcons there. I'll have to come for a look.
  25. I just cut them down a bit as Pat advised me to. He mentioned the superpro bumps were made before the SSSL was made and they are not short enough.
