Well done mate, I'm sure once it's finished you'll be very happy with it. Just keep ticking the days off, some builds take years to finish, other take even longer to perfect. I still can't get over the size of that beautiful turbo, just awesome. Typhoon
Hi mate, I Have a brand new Autometer trans temp gauge available if your interested. Its never been fitted and is a full sweep electric cobalt gauge. PM if interested.
I disagree about Bruce Heinrich. I would recommend Brett West Adelaide Performance Engineers 668 Marion Rd, Park Holme. S.A. Australia. 5043 Phone: (08) 8277 5688 Email: ape1@adam.com.au He won Nizpro dealer of the month twice in a row and has attended all of Nizpro's tuning seminars. He has also tuned my old BF to 430RWKW on pump fuel with ease. Pay peanuts you will get monkeys. Regards, Typhoon
Its a scam. I have had a friend fall for the same scam only 1 month ago. The reply from the seller is almost word for word the same as he received from him. The car dose not even exists, leave it alone... You have been warned.
I dont "have" to do anything. I tell you what, if you ever know of anyone that breaks one make sure they share the info. As for me, the information I have is not mine to share.
"As for sharing that sort of sensitive information on a public forum. I chose not to as most idiots will take it the wrong way and it would cause more problems then help prevent." That's my point exactly. Idiots jumping to immediate conclusions. This is why I will not discus sensitive info on public forums. Idiots like you will always *uc* up a good thread with pointless bullsh*t as per your above crap......... Ummm I have no idea how to respond to this guy so I will just attack a company for no reason. Once again I wont waist time with idiots like you.
Your a foolish person and I would normally never waist my time with people of your kind. Do you really think I have spent $50000 on my engine alone? That would be excessive to say the least. My car is a complete package and dose everything well. For the record my engine has recorded 507RWKW. 430RWKW is for the street. I added the fact that I know of two crank shafts failing because it was mentioned and had been discussed in this thread. You may find that hard to believe I know; but if you actually bothered to read the thread from start to finish you may realise that my input was relevant. As for sharing that sort of sensitive information on a public forum. I chose not to as most idiots will take it the wrong way and it would cause more problems then help prevent. Please don't respond to this post, I'm done with you.
I have spent over $50000 on my car. There are only a select few around the country that truly understand what is involved in investing that sort of money in a car. In some case's you push the limits and explore uncharted territory. I have achieved a very satisfactory out come, some have had to spend twice as much and are still chasing there tail's, I have nothing more to add based on the ignorance of some of the members on this site. I have added a fact in this thread and who ever chooses to believe it or disbelieve it has no relevance to me. Good luck.
Call and ask for Brett. He was the 1st in the country to do LPG for the XR6 turbo. Top guy as well. APE (AdelaidePerformance Engineers) A division of Graham West Workshops Pty Ltd 668 Marion Road Park Holme South Australia 5043 Phone 08 8277 5688 Fax 08 8374 3431 Emailape1@adam.com.au
Hi mate; I really don’t think you should be too worried about an external gate at this stage. 400RWKW’s is achievable with a standard turbo and internal gate. However you will need to have the waist gate ported with a larger waist gate valve and the actuator upgraded. Keep in mind that this sort of power level is really reserved for the more efficient kits on the market and in my opinion will be a stretch with the modifications you have listed. Question: Will you be running the factory intake manifold? If so I don’t believe the 400RWKW target is realistic, let alone needing to worry about an external gate! Better boost control is always welcome don’t get me wrong; I just personally believe you will run into other problems first before the internal gate becomes a limiting factor. If I were you I would be focusing on the best plenum and intercooler combo you can find within your budget and start from there. The external gate will not be the make or break when it comes to a target output of 400RWKW’s. Also a 044 and a surge tank has nothing to do with final power output. I really don’t know why this has been suggested. Your good old Walbro will do the trick as per the Nizpro Stage 2 Plus Kit which will see over 400RWKW’s on just a Walbro with out a surge tank. Hope this has helped in some way, any questions let me know. Regards, Typhoon
Hi Bosco; I had mine done at MV Automatics in Blackwood. I used all genuine parts and oil. Was not cheap but who cares you play you pay. I asked them to flush the system as well so that added a bit more to the price. They did a good job and they have done a few now. Go speak to the boys at MV they will advise on the pan filter oil combo. What’s your ZF doing? Even after my service, when mine gets hot whilst hill driving or big WOT run’s it starts to flare on the shifts. They really need bigger better tran's coolers to stop this from happening. Apart from that, my ZF is sweet as with all the power I'm running. Louis
Yep count me in. So its 11:00AM @ Adrian Brian Ford down south, near the old Mitsubishi factory yeah? Should be fun. Can I get the route PM'ed to me? Cant wait!
Saw one last night for the first time in the flesh. Did not get to drive it but had a good look around inside and out, I must say its not doing that much for me. My BF II is a good looking fast car. They have carried over to many parts of the BF that should have been new. I wont be trading.
HI guys; Just a quick update on my ZF. I paid to get it serviced and it still slips at WOT on the 3 to 4 shift. Looks like the clutch packs are shagged. Mind you it performs very well in the lower gears at full noise so it’s a bit weird. Performing well in the lower gears makes me thinks its more software based then heavy wear and tear, but that’s just a guess I really don’t know. As for my thoughts on the ZF. Great box but when power raisers above 300RWKWs in standard for I cant possibly see how any of them can hold up. My car has never been on a race track or drag strip and I drive it with heaps of respect, so I leads me to believe it’s just a matter of time before these box’s give up the ghost in standard trim over 300RWKW’s. I know guys claim they are running even bigger power then 370RWKW’s in standard trim. If this is the case how many KMS do they have on their boxes as mine did perform well for the fist 12000 KMS. It now has 18000 on it.
Hi guys; I am going to do a coolant flush today but I am unsure how to get to the bottom radiator hose. Whats the easiest way to undo it? Its really tucked away there with all that plastic crap I cant reach it. Same with the radiator drain plug whats the easiest way to access this do I have to take the bumper off? Thanks
