Just keep in mind that often more power is wanted after a while. If you choose to only do the cat make sure it has a compatible dump pipe option for down the track when you get the bug for more of that sweet barra power!!

Stock cat needs to be changed mate. Do dump and cat and leave the stock system. she’ll go 300
  3. You sure you didnt buy an NA with a turbo conversion? Almost no logic in putting a 4speed into an car that should have a 6 speed. very odd!!
  4. Ryco fuel filters for the turbo Falcon are E85 suitable. Cheap and easy. google it for more info
  5. If your engine is in good condition and you know it has had regular oil changes and its clean inside then you can get away with not running one. make sure OEM oil line feed filter has been removed and just change your oil and filter every 5000kms At least that's what I do. You may want to ensure that the OEM oil supply line is not clogged up or shows signs of baking first. I know of many workshops that set it up this way. My local turbo shop also recommends this too set up too.
  6. check the spark plugs, if a couple plugs are loose it can cause this too. plug gap may also cause a similar issue
  7. Hmmm
  8. If the pick up is blocked then your motor is full of sludge anyway and its on its last legs. I would have taken off the valve cover before the sump. Pop it off, see sludge then put motor in the bin. If the sumps been off before or changed then the pick up height could have been effected. do a compression check and if that's all good then take it to Ford to have them look at it and be prepared to pay $$$$$$$$$$s
  9. Have the intake manifold bolts been checked lately? Gasket ok? If the under battery pipe has been changed which by the looks of that kit it has then you will be able to make more boost even with the cross over in place. its a tune issue IMO as 12psi for 325 sounds low (boost) and 19psi for 320 sounds highish. 98 fuel yhea? if the same tunner can make 325 on 12 pounds but only 320 on 19 then he doesn’t know what his doing. whos tuning it? old thread says CMS tuned it. they should be all over it mate. I think if Joe and his team cant find the problem then no one can. At least you would expect that from CMS after all these years.
  10. Power wise its about right mate. That turbo wont make a huge amount of boost - How much does your tunner think it should be making? Is the standard under battery pipe still in place or is that what is replaced with the "hot side pipe kit"? Make sure all clamps are tight. Exhaust is fine. if you are loosing boost the work shop should be able to work that out in about 2 minutes especially when its on the dyno. I have seen those kits put down around 360RWKW but all dynos are different.
  11. His such a talent! Proud Aussie this morning. Max did very well, long over due measured drive. Best team pairing in F1! Just think, Daniel would be right in the championship fight if it wasn’t for his two DNF this year. If he can win a couple more like this you never know how the year could pan out. I might go put down a buck fifty on him for the the drivers title!!
  12. agree - or at least absolute stupidity
  13. good luck buddy
  14. ^^ correct it wouldn’t be a dud lifter, motor would run rough. shouldn’t be the crank, rods pins etc. its likely a simple problem super hard to diagnose over the net buddy
  15. lol could be a worn timming chain guide get the front cover off, guide and crank sproket will be done at those kms could be many things flex plate bolt maybe
  16. Could be many things What year is the car? Standard or tunned?
  17. New European race schedule sux for us Aussies, but can't miss Monaco. I just hope Daniels car stays together and he can go ahead and bag the win. 100% Max DNFs through crash/mistake - As brilliant as he is he just hasn't quite matured enough yet. Be great to see where young Leclerc finishes! Awesome race !!!! Will even get the old charcoal BBQ fired up for this one - Whoo whoooo. Oh and beers on ice!!
  18. Don't think it will work - check out the two turbo spec differences below. https://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers/gt3076r Also front cover is larger on 3076 so I don't see how it could possibly work. Inducer, exducer and trims are different too.
  19. would have go external gate!! I can help you with a super core if you need one send me a PM and I’ll point you in the right direction. I though you wanted to go vband? maybe you should just get a complete unit?
  20. Speaking to AMC Performance about my catch can solution. They tell me they did back to back testing on a 1000hp monster running 9.2 1/4 mile. -6 is to small (roughly OEM) -8 is ok as tested on the monster 1000hp car -10 is best. Both -8 and -10 tests were done in 3 port pumb back and vent to atmo setups. -8 with baffling / a filtration system could be a bit small, depending on how much and how long the air is slowed down. -10 setup vent to atmo is the preferred solution based on my research. Dion Amato Dyno Mite Performance tells me the barra is not a huge breather engine, and even the most basic setup catch can solutions seem to work ok. hope this helps
  21. loca turbo shop mate
  22. I can confirm that the GTX3584RS will fit the Ford 1.06 turbine housing. The housing needs to be machined out at the turbine inducer side by 4mm and then it will fit. The specs are incorrect on the Garrett website (maybe deliberately). It uses a different turbine and compressor wheel and also has different trim values. It's a genuine upgrade from a GTX3582R, more flow potential on both hot and cold side of the turbo in a 35 frame package. I just bought one for my new engine build, should spool just as fast if not faster then a 3582, and make more boost everywhere too. Looking forward to taking this to 600RWKWs
  23. Im suprised he didnt plumb in a big -12 set up just before the compressor housing inlet. My understanding is a well set up 3 port will work better at WOT. How much boost and power that beast making Aaron? Nizzy plenum too I see!
  24. I understand, I should have worded it correctly, and attention to detail is a great thing mate? Race cars and high performance engines all use pcv systems. Most run dry sump systems and incorporate vacume pumps and other means to assist in venting the crank case. PCV valves suck balls and are a crappy design that I dont like! ?
