I was flicking through my old motor mags the other day and it really hit me just how many times ford has one direct and indirect comparasions aganst holden. So I decided to go through my mountains of mags to find out just how many times they have one, Although Im subscribed to both wheels and motor for my sanity sake I decided to stick with one mag only and that mag is motor. I have used pcoty, bfyb and of course direct comparisons. I went as far back as jan 2000 and have only included performance models 6 cylinders and v8s, including mustang monaro and luxo saloons, All cars are factory stock. Ford 38 wins out of 46 comparisons Expensive Daewoo 8 wins out of 46 comparisons Two comparisons came out a draw there not included in the above results. For five years fords been kicking holdens butt you would think they would be selling a lot more cars For all thought out there that will be saying motors bias I can assure you if I repeated the excersise using my wheels mags Im sure it would be very much close to the same results. So what do you guys think of that usless info?

I`am with you those numbers dont add up for me ,the gt was 3 tenthes of a sec of the f6 before it even hit 100kms. What happend? did the f6 just nose of or somthing I`am not sure but I think fpv have been having a little chat to motor the typhoon will do 13 s easly oh and buy the way notice no termanel speed??

Yes it is slower then first thought but make know mistake the typhoon is the best performance car this county has ever made. tha hsv`s might be faster down the 1/4 mile but the fords are better cars. I will build a drag car when I think 1/4 mile times are whats inportant, just hang in there guys the GTHO will come 400kw anyone? just my thoughts

You may be right Aaron but at the end of the day Crennan is right, Holden/HSV outsell Ford/FPV and the more cars they sell (generally) the more money they make. David Flint even acknowedges that Crennan is great marketer, about time he recognised the truth that FORD SUCK at marketing. Marketing is what sells cars, not necessarily actually having a better car. It's the perception of the other car being better because it can do circle work in the paddock or burnouts and the like rather than a bunch of sappy Ford execs pretending to be celebrities. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> its not david flints fualt if people are idiots he is marketing the product to smart men and women. If a Expensive Daewoo six speed gear box was geared proply it would easy alow the new ss or hsv to run close to 300kmh That scares me.6.0 v8 coming how about another v8 super car scare anyone!
