  1. Times like these it's probably better to get your tuner to attach the computer and look at pids during a drive mate, pay for half an hour of his time and save hours of your own. Trust me, playing guess the problem sucks!

  3. Hey mate, Would definately get the fella's at the shop u got to fit the bushes to give the rear a good look over or get a pedders $14 check. Particular area's I would check are rear sway bar rubbers and rear link pins... There are other thigs which can cause this but this is where I would start! Good luck mate
  4. Yeh mate they are powdercoated, $35 a rim can't say no! They are kind of like "stonedine", dark grey with a silver fleck through them. Boss bonnet is a maybe, if I do it then it will be the last thing done to the outside for a long time haha

  8. I don't have Facebook and its just a group of mates, trick cruises r a bit short so we want to start some up. Meeting on Oquinn st, behind sx ford, down at the car parks by the oval at 10am, leaving at 1030. Bunch of people bringing family too mate

If your still off this Saturday u should come on a little cruise, got some cammed commo's and xr6t's going for a drive to Cooby dam and meringadan pub just as an excuse to cruise!

So couple updates Got dump pipe cut out and a straight pipe welded in Also went to performance suspension today, nice day hanging out at harbourtown shopping centre while others work on my car for a change! Car now has: Front XYZ coil overs Rear XYZ adjustable shocks with my old ultra low king springs New upper balljoints New front link pins New front rose joints New adjustable camber arms rear 3 super pro diff bushes, solid centre and side comforts Now all the suspension is either new, super pro or nolathane. Feels awesome to drive now and no more cringing when I see a dip on the highway! Cheers fellas for the good work!
  15. Well its has now escalated to a miss, not just a "not revving". So will be checking coils and plugs, hope one has a crack cuz I hate it when they stuff up by show no signs lol
  16. Yeh I just got a tr6060 from Mal, very cheap for what u get and turns the car into something completely different to drive. I can list all the sh*t if u want but if you ring Mal he will advise u anyways
  17. Hey mate check your tps, if it has a indent in it the size of a 10c peice then It is the old faulty model and would be very wise to replace it with a upgraded one with the indent. Good place to start anyway
  18. My car just doesn't rev, take foot off throttle and then car is normal again, no key cycle required. Maybe looking at pids on Dyno will help cuz I don't want to just take a guess and start pulling things apart...
  19. Cheers for the thoughts mate, I was leaning that way since it doesn't jerk or hesitate or skip etc... Just slows its revs and then doesn't rev any higher. Points toward engine intervention in the form of retardig timing but anyone else with some other ideas would be a great help!

Hey all, Been here for a while, mainly lurking, just thought I'd get some ideas before I start pulling things apart on my car I have a 02 ba xr6t, tuned to 360rwkw and when in low rpm situations and then apply WOT, the intake noise rises then Become a bit higher pitch and Rpm climbs... Then Just slows and stops. It sounds like either the BOV is leaking or have a boost leak, but I thought that with either the revs would still climb, just a sh*tload slower? Unless I have a over boost problem and engine is closing throttle plate or pulling timing? Have no boost gauge at the moment but am going to book in with tuner to check... Just thought I'd ask if anyone has had any similar problems and if they could share experiences Problems occurs in 3rd and 4th mainly, as I said at low rpm and heavy load. Has happened once or twice in 2nd and never In 1st. Cheers fella's Damien

  23. What did u gap your plugs to mate if its standard? They should come pre gapped?

  25. So going into a shopping centre car park...BANG! Then Lots of exhaust noise...bent my flange on my 5" cat :( gonna cut it and weld a pipe to connect dump to cat back, damn speed bumps! Ill post pics up Thursday when the cut and weld is done :(
