  1. still thinking of swapping looms and changing map sensor wire....as have found a corroded wire for the cam sensor which goesbthrough out the wireing loom. if its not correct would car just not atart and run correctly or will it damage something? lol
  2. thanks guys. so the ba xr6t autos had tourq reductoin?? im getting people saying it did and some say it does not. is it dagerous?
  3. hi ba xr6t 2004 4 speed auto. stock tune have noticed that if accelerating hard first to 2nd changes like traction control kicks in but theres no traction light? sometimes 2nd to third too.....theres still plenty of power otherwise..... only really noticed it after changing inlet gasket...kinda sounds good out of exhaust lol but worried if its not right. have swapped coils and spark plugs..still same. has done it in the past once and my mate said sounds like fuel cut or something.
  4. alright. you guys convinced me to play it safe.....ill cut and solder plugs.. that way I wont blow anything up lol thanks
  5. so. u mean it has more pins or differently wired?
  6. ahhh true. well I thorght of that but there are a few...plus couple were replace before I owned it due to melting by the looks of it do you know if.ita just the tmap sensor plug different but rest the same? like I would guess it would be all same for same...but just like u said different plug for map it not ill get the soldering iron out haha
  7. hi. is the wireing loom that connects to the auto...injectors.ignition coil etc and all sensors on passenger side of car same on tirbo and non turbo?? I know the loom on drivers side is different but from what I can tell the one on passenger side that goes throgh inlet manifold seems the same? I have allot of broken sensor plug clips and hsve a perfect loom but from non turbo. they look identical with all same plugs etc
  8. thanks. however I already brought the propper hose like this: http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/262635495531 its the factory stuff
  9. . so im replaceing fuel pump in a spare moduel I have. for a xr6t ba sedan. anyway whats the best way to install the factory style corrugated hose. I have a new one for for pump and a new for retutn ..the return one is on but I can pull it off with force so will just clamp that as it wont be under much pressure. but the one for the actual pump id like to do correctly I did the return one first and I tried boiling water but it did not work so tried a heat gun and it worked... but slightly loose. hence why ill put a clamp on it. do I dobthe same for fuel pump hose?
  10. thanks. decided to pull out the oump and module and re install the original and seems to start first kick now..will know tommorow. what I did find was the pipe going from pump to top of module was a very lose fit and I just pulled pipe off with ease so im guessing its jut a bad fitting pipe causeing pressure drop as if I remeber these pipes are a one use only and your supposed to cut them off if u need to replace? . either way I have a new pump comming with new hose. simple fix if its just this thanks
  11. hi. question about the actual fuel pump module..is there any valves or anything that can stuff up on them beside the pump and hoses? [or is it just a plastic module? reason I ask is. I got a fairly cheap fuel pump and module awhile back for a ba xr6t sedan and installed it. car ran betterbthen ever. however lately its had a very long crank like its lost fuel pressure but only does its randomly like 70% of the time. so fuel pump is the last thing it could be. so yeah ordered a new pump but have to install it in module. and wanted to find out if the moduel has any sort of valve that could I <3 Bananas up in it.
  12. that's true....was mentioned it was tuned to 18psi but then blew turbo so replaced with brand new one etc and back to stock tune . will have to seenhow it runs after change houseing
  13. hi. so I needed a replacement rear houseing as mine was cracked in a few places. I have a ba xr6t stock tune. from day one when I got car I was told something about it haveing a fg turbo but didnt really make sence. anyway from what I have gathered now. is that it had a 8psi actuator as it was over boosting heaps but now I have a stock one on it it does not overboost. but. now that I have the replacement h s exhaust houseing it looks like the one on ot now has a different sized flapper and hole as opposed to the stock ba/bf one I got. from some reserch ihave seen is that the fg had a larger flapper from factory so........would anyone know why the previous owner may have done n this with a stock tune? im yet to put it on but surely it wont make a difference being stock sizzed flapper on a stock tune lol
  14. also theres another houseing from same seller with 34mm flapper http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/MAMBA-Turbine-Housing-Ford-XR6-Falcon-BA-BF-Garrett-GT35R-GT3582R-T3-A-R-1-05-/171825320272?nav=SEARCH . if I use a houseing with a larger flapper....would that cause problems with the stock tune or would the computer adjust for it?
  15. so its not a copy of genuine one? is porting ot something I can do myself? would I need a bigger flapper?
  16. hi does anyone know if this is a stock standard rear exhaust houseing for a ba/bf turbo? http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/281712779074 cheers
  17. im pretty certain the thread the same potch on the sonic atuds I got as I just used a 1.5 m10 bolt on both ends to see if it was and it worked..
  18. was that turbo to manifold or manifold to head or bolth?
  19. where can u get all that for $50? wss never trying to cheap out. it has sonic stud kit on turbo to manifold at the moment but came loose....also its 1.5 thread pitch both ends on the studs ...could that be why it came loose? it was desighned for it..
  20. welll. I suppose ill check it while covers off. like I said I have chain and guides front an engine I stripped down and the guides are like new so is chain and tensioner...only had 120 000 on clock and wear on guides is barely visable....mine are probly worn sh*tless lol
  21. hmm I have sonic ones on it now but they came loose and I broke one so was gonna replace all. is a stud basically a thredded bar..?.however is the blank part there for a reason like does it help with tensioning it?
  22. hi. if I was to get some threaded bar m10 1.5. and cut it could I use it as studs? as I want to change the turbo to manifold studs as one has broxken and also change all the exhaust manifold to studs so can I do ot by cutting some threaded bar ? or is the blank bit on the studs there for a reason? also would hi tensile threaded bar do or is there a special type...if so whats it called?
  23. thanks. just weired how its a long crank like its flooded but sometimes its a slow crank like a flat battery. ....stupid electrics haha ill have to check the earth cables and see
  24. hi. ba xr6t last couple days when going to start some times it a long crank like takes about 3-5 seconds other times it fires up atraight away. also some times its a slow crank... its like a flat battery. also if I have headlight on and interior fan on full its a long crank before it starts....but if I hook up the jump starter to battery it cranks over atraight away ok so I got battery tested by 3 different battery places. one said theres nothing wrong with battery. 2nd said ita still at 660cca (its a bosch 680 silver calsium) other said its perfect wen on load test tests 660 aswell... I have cleaned the battery termilals. can a bad earth to chassis cause long cranks??
  25. thanks ill definally look into it anyone use NASON timming kit for the xr6t? comes with tensioner guides and chain...
